Much to my surprise, it was about as lively as I had remembered it. The Alley was established during Covid times and offered a retreat to escape from the humdrum of the homestead. These days, its friendly vibe welcomes neighbors and visitors with a backyard setting strewn with twinkle lights and family-style tables. It's a causal scene and easy to soak in the live music, sunlight/moonlight, and neighborly banter. The layout resembles an alley with shops on either side, big open doors invite you to grab something to eat, sample a drink, or shop for handmade gifts. On one side, you've got craft brews and coffee roasters. On the other side, it's local wines and piping hot pizzas. Dogs are welcome all around. At the center of it all, there's live music on the weekends. Modeled after a Beer & Wine Garden concept, The Alley features Enegren Brewery (beer), Lucas Sellers (wine), California Coffee Republic (java), Fire & Vice (pizza), and The Craft House (non-alcoholic tchotchkes). As a self-proclaimed wino, I opted for a sampling of the Lucas Sellers Wines. Ashley, who was behind the bar and top of the pours, gave me good suggestions and offered anecdotes about each wine on tap. At the end of the night, my light pinot paired perfectly with the Mushroom Arugula pizza from Fire & Vice. And I felt right at home, surrounded by friends.

Everything we tried was excellent. Ashley, our wine expert, was fantastic--she not only picked out wines perfectly suited to our tastes but also took the time to educate us about each one. Her knowledge and approach made the experience even more enjoyable. As a local winery in Moorpark, Lucas Sellers truly stands out. I can't say enough good things about this place and the incredible wines they offer. Whether you're buying for yourself or looking for a thoughtful gift, you won't be disappointed.

A perfect location to stop if you are among mix company where one prefers beer while others prefer coffee! Tonight we decided to grab a bottle of wine! Lucas Sellers offers a wine variety of reds, whites, rose and Champagne. You can even get mimosas. Wine can be had by the glass or flights. Plus you can grab a bottle and take it away if you don't finish. They provided me great description of their winery, products and offered me significant amount of tasting so I could find my perfect bottle for the night. The winery offers comfy seating within their location among barrels. Super cool location to kick back with your bottle if you like the wine bottling vibe. Or on a Saturday night you can catch some music in the alley. Check the location schedule for events. We were fortunate to encounter an awesome duo on their guitars. What a treat! All around great experience!

I can't believe it took us this long to finally go because WOW! First of all, Todd and Melanie are the sweetest. So welcoming, so friendly, and just genuinely great hosts. They made the whole experience feel relaxed and special without trying too hard. The atmosphere completely transported me. It felt like we were in Paso Robles or Temecula on a random cozy wine night. Dim lighting, great energy, amazing pours. Ugh! such a vibe 10/10. For wine, I had two glasses. The NV Malbec and the 2023 Rosé of Pinot Noir. The Malbec was 100% hands down my favorite. Bold, smooth and packed with flavor..... just how I like my wine! The rosé was crisp and refreshing too. Anyway, if you love good wine and great service, this place is a total hidden gem. We'll definitely be back for more wine!

For the most part people just hang out at their table. The great part is that you can bring your own food and they have nice live music ( think Hotel California, and California Dreamin type of tunes). The crowd is mature and laid back. I like that people could bring their dogs and let them walk around, but in the back of my mind I was worried about stepping on someone's paw or in a puddle of #1. Luckily that didn't happen. The owners are really nice said they're expanding so that's great news. They have a nice selection of wine. On their paper menu. Tip- scan their QR code and you'll find more drinks- my group stuff two bottles of wine but I believe I saw someone drinking a glass of sangria? Nice to have a spot like this in town to relax and BYOF.
