I absolutely love this place. Plenty of space inside and outside for larger groups or for the solo traveler like myself. I'm here at lease once a week as it is close to my house. The beer selection is top notch, they have it all with more beers than most breweries in the area along with cans to buy and take out. Pizzas, tacos, and other street food on the menu are fresh very tasty. Massive TVs behind the bar for your viewing needs, they also have another bar that I beleive is dedicated to cockatil service. I'm a beer guy but the drinks all look really good! I'd park across the street in the big parking lot and make sure you have a designated driver :)

Tarantula Hill Brewing Co. was a first for us. We met friends there for Sunday lunch, but this was really a scouting visit to see if it would work as an event venue. The space is huge - with lots of seating out front, inside, and out back. There are fire pits in the front, a stage in the back, and plenty of room for tables and mingling. From an event perspective, it's a great setup and very flexible. The service model is more DIY than we expected. You grab your own water at the bar, and to order food or drinks, you either stand in line (separate lines for bar, ice cream, and pizza) or scan a QR code at your table. At first, I rolled my eyes at having to order on my phone (hello, COVID flashbacks), but for this kind of place, it actually works really well. One person can open a tab, others can add to it, and you close out at the end. Mid-meal, I wanted another Diet Coke--two taps on my phone, and it arrived in under a minute. That's faster than traditional table service. There are also lots of TVs inside, so if sports are your thing, you'll be happy. The menu has something for everyone, but the food itself was just okay. We ordered a chicken wrap, a vegan sandwich, ahi tuna tacos, and a Hawaiian pizza. Ironically, the tater tots were the crowd favorite. This place really wins on ambiance, layout, and ease of service. The food isn't the draw--but the vibe absolutely is. Will we be back? Yes. We're planning to work with them on hosting an event. You really can't beat the atmosphere.

The place is huge. Now coming a second round, on a Friday the place was packed ! I liked it better when it wasn't super busy. A nice variety of food. We got the pizza and chicken fingers. A full bar along with wine. This place caters to families. Very smart / marketing.

Tarantula Hill is our go-to hangout spot with friends and family. There's a ton of indoor seating as well as outdoor tables in the front and back of the brewery. This place can get pretty crowded on weekends because there's nothing really like it in town. Tarantula has a pretty solid beer list with something for everyone. They always have a selection of IPAs and lighter offerings. The beer menu also features guest taps in addition to Tarantula's locally brewed crafts. I've never had a cocktail here, but they do have spirits as well. The food menu consists of standard bar fare like chicken strips and sandwiches, but they also have their own in-house pizza oven that whips up decent pies. There are healthier options like salads for those watching their figure. As a bonus, they also have ice cream by the scoop. The ambiance is very casual, and as a Dodger fan I appreciate the big screens that air the local games.

Never been here before but decided to have dinner before Reign of Terror Haunted House. Driving up, we were SUPER surprised to see how Large this brewery was but also how PACKED it was!! Never seen anything like this before at a brewery lol so we were worried we wouldn't find any seating. Parking is awful, we drove around a few times and finally found one like a block away along the street and just walked. Our friend luckily got a table out in the patio, cold, but seats nonetheless. They allow you to order through your phone which is super convenient and they quickly deliver the food which is nice. We had to wait maybe 20 mins for the 20 pc bbq wings for some reason but everything else like drinks, pepperoni pizza, and garlic bread came really quick. The food here is fantastic and loved my Shirley temple that I somehow managed to forget a pic lol. Looking forward to dining here again, especially since one of our other friends couldn't make it. AND they have ice cream that I'd love to try! IG: @ammysalamii

Parking would be most difficult here. You'll likely have to street parking and it might be blocks away. There's plenty of seating both inside and outside. There's a QR code to order food/non-alcoholic drinks. The food/drinks arrived fairly quick. And staff were nice. The atmosphere is chill and great for large groups and friends and family. I got the yuzu lemonade and it was pretty good! Not too sweet. I also got the steak sandwich which was okay. The portions are definitely big and should fill you up. I couldn't finish everything. The Adobo fries were tasty.

A solid, four out of five burger!

Nov 2025 update: the food has drastically improved!! The salad tasted so so fresh, and my husband really liked the surf n turf burrito too! We decided to get some ice cream to finish the night - and the ice cream was amazing too! The app was easy to use; the service was quick! The energy was so good there with the friendliest guests and staff - the ambiance is wonderful!

My first time coming here, and have to say I had a good time. The security upfront was very nice. We went an ordered drinks, it was a bit of a line but it went by quickly. The place is pretty crowded, so a little bit hard to find seats at first, but once we did it was nice to relax. Parking was pretty easy to find, the crowd is pretty chill and definitely a mixed crowd. Had a good time and a nice spot to chill and hangout at.

Ask the Community - Tarantula Hill Brewing

    Is it dog friendly?

Sure is!! Huge patio area and tons of people bring their dogs while dining!

I noticed kids, how kid friendly is this establishment? Is there curfew also

Very kid friendly, almost everyone brought their whole family. Super busy spot and there's an ice cream parlor inside that they'll go crazy for

    Do they serve wine?

    Yes

    Do they have wifi?

Yes. I don't know if they have the password listed. I had to ask someone.

Can I bring a birthday cake and/or cupcakes?

Last I checked you could, but it adds 35.00 to your bill to bring in your own dessert.

    Is it Dog friendly?

    Yes it is.

Do you have Monday Night Football showing?

I'm pretty sure they would have one big tv and many other smaller groups ones.

Are the prices listed re the online menu accurate, as of 7/1/22?

If you are talking about the one that links from Yelp, those prices are old. A pizza is 15.00-20.00. The pretzel is 14.00, chicken wings are 16.00 and so on.

    Do they have sour beers?

Yes! They always have at least a couple sours on tap

No it's a full service restaurant.

Is this a dog friendly place?

    Yes !!

    Margaritas served here?

    That is a negative

How do I get ahold of someone to ask questions? No one answers the phone.

Go in, have a beer and ask to speak with a manager. Win win!

Does this brewery have any happy hour menu?

    Nope. Regular prces are reasonable.

Do they have gluten free pizza crust?

    Yes!

    When do they officially open?

They're in the middle of their soft opening phase but don't let that scare you! They're doing a pretty good job, the place is just packed!… Read more

All decked out with the green for St Paddy's day which they also had that weekend celebration. There was also a food vendor infront which we didn't get to try. The place has both indoor and outdoor seating. A bar area with some seating and there was live music going on. Nice back covered patio area with games and fire pits. The vibe is industrial and low-lit, like the kind of bar where the walls have stories but won't snitch. Small space, metal-and-concrete aesthetic, but somehow still warm and cozy. I can walk up and give the vaguest description -- "classic but not sweet, strong but not too whiskey-forward, smooth but still gives main character energy" -- and they'll just... create it. They've made me drinks that aren't even on the menu -- Army Navy, Aviation, etc. -- and every single one was spot on. They always manage to find the right drink for me, which is honestly a skill more people should have. The servers are genuinely nice, the liquor selection is solid, and the energy is chill without being pretentious. I've also heard there's a speakeasy hidden in here somewhere, and trust me, one day I'll find it like I'm unlocking a side quest. Definitely one of my favorite bars in Thousand Oaks -- industrial vibes, great people, and bartenders who match drinks to my personality better than most men can.

Much to my surprise, it was about as lively as I had remembered it. The Alley was established during Covid times and offered a retreat to escape from the humdrum of the homestead. These days, its friendly vibe welcomes neighbors and visitors with a backyard setting strewn with twinkle lights and family-style tables. It's a causal scene and easy to soak in the live music, sunlight/moonlight, and neighborly banter. The layout resembles an alley with shops on either side, big open doors invite you to grab something to eat, sample a drink, or shop for handmade gifts. On one side, you've got craft brews and coffee roasters. On the other side, it's local wines and piping hot pizzas. Dogs are welcome all around. At the center of it all, there's live music on the weekends. Modeled after a Beer & Wine Garden concept, The Alley features Enegren Brewery (beer), Lucas Sellers (wine), California Coffee Republic (java), Fire & Vice (pizza), and The Craft House (non-alcoholic tchotchkes). As a self-proclaimed wino, I opted for a sampling of the Lucas Sellers Wines. Ashley, who was behind the bar and top of the pours, gave me good suggestions and offered anecdotes about each wine on tap.
