Tarantula Hill Brewing has been one of our favorite places to chill with a nice drink and tasty food for some time but last Friday they kicked it over the top with the best Customer Care I can remember experiencing! I called them to see if they could Live Stream the Beach Life festival in Redondo Beach as I knew they had Live Streamed the Coachella Music Festival and tickets being sold out hoped to see it in their Brewery. I called and talked to one of their managers, Andrea, and she said she would try and get it for us and what time would we be in. When we arrived that night she had it up on one of the screens with the sound and it was awesome being able to sit there watching the festival eating and drinking our favorite foods. Andrea was fantastic and super nice taking care of our request and our Waitress Jasmine took care of all our food and drink requests efficiently and was super nice also. She was great and we also appreciate Connor who helped us at the bar. This was a Win Win as we had a fantastic time and Andrea said she would add Beach Life Festival to their list of streamed concerts for next year which I'm sure many of the patrons will appreciate and enjoy. 100 Stars to everyone at Tarantula Hill! read more

There are plenty of street parking near the Wells Fargo. This place is huge! I love the short rib pizza. I don't normally like pizza but I love this. The thin crust and the crispy onion, together with the short ribs are out standing. Even the tater tots were good. They just are not regular t.tots. Overall I would come back here. read more

A great local brewery with plenty of space! There's seating in the front, inside and in the back where you seat yourself. It's great for large parties. It can get pretty crowded especially on weekends and even on weekdays after work hours. You can either order at the table using the QR code or in line. I would say the food is overpriced, but I still love the bbq chicken pizza and pretzel. My go to and favorite beer of all time is the liquid candy hazy IPA because it's super smooth. Biggest downside is the parking. It's limited to a very small parking lot and street parking. read more

I absolutely love this place. Plenty of space inside and outside for larger groups or for the solo traveler like myself. I'm here at lease once a week as it is close to my house. The beer selection is top notch, they have it all with more beers than most breweries in the area along with cans to buy and take out. Pizzas, tacos, and other street food on the menu are fresh very tasty. Massive TVs behind the bar for your viewing needs, they also have another bar that I beleive is dedicated to cockatil service. I'm a beer guy but the drinks all look really good! I'd park across the street in the big parking lot and make sure you have a designated driver :) read more

Tarantula Hill Brewing Co. was a first for us. We met friends there for Sunday lunch, but this was really a scouting visit to see if it would work as an event venue. The space is huge - with lots of seating out front, inside, and out back. There are fire pits in the front, a stage in the back, and plenty of room for tables and mingling. From an event perspective, it's a great setup and very flexible. The service model is more DIY than we expected. You grab your own water at the bar, and to order food or drinks, you either stand in line (separate lines for bar, ice cream, and pizza) or scan a QR code at your table. At first, I rolled my eyes at having to order on my phone (hello, COVID flashbacks), but for this kind of place, it actually works really well. One person can open a tab, others can add to it, and you close out at the end. Mid-meal, I wanted another Diet Coke--two taps on my phone, and it arrived in under a minute. That's faster than traditional table service. There are also lots of TVs inside, so if sports are your thing, you'll be happy. The menu has something for everyone, but the food itself was just okay. We ordered a chicken wrap, a vegan sandwich, ahi tuna tacos, and a Hawaiian pizza. Ironically, the tater tots were the crowd favorite. This place really wins on ambiance, layout, and ease of service. The food isn't the draw--but the vibe absolutely is. Will we be back? Yes. We're planning to work with them on hosting an event. You really can't beat the atmosphere. read more

Tarantula Hill is our go-to hangout spot with friends and family. There's a ton of indoor seating as well as outdoor tables in the front and back of the brewery. This place can get pretty crowded on weekends because there's nothing really like it in town. Tarantula has a pretty solid beer list with something for everyone. They always have a selection of IPAs and lighter offerings. The beer menu also features guest taps in addition to Tarantula's locally brewed crafts. I've never had a cocktail here, but they do have spirits as well. The food menu consists of standard bar fare like chicken strips and sandwiches, but they also have their own in-house pizza oven that whips up decent pies. There are healthier options like salads for those watching their figure. As a bonus, they also have ice cream by the scoop. The ambiance is very casual, and as a Dodger fan I appreciate the big screens that air the local games. read more

Never been here before but decided to have dinner before Reign of Terror Haunted House. Driving up, we were SUPER surprised to see how Large this brewery was but also how PACKED it was!! Never seen anything like this before at a brewery lol so we were worried we wouldn't find any seating. Parking is awful, we drove around a few times and finally found one like a block away along the street and just walked. Our friend luckily got a table out in the patio, cold, but seats nonetheless. They allow you to order through your phone which is super convenient and they quickly deliver the food which is nice. We had to wait maybe 20 mins for the 20 pc bbq wings for some reason but everything else like drinks, pepperoni pizza, and garlic bread came really quick. The food here is fantastic and loved my Shirley temple that I somehow managed to forget a pic lol. Looking forward to dining here again, especially since one of our other friends couldn't make it. The atmosphere and beer is great. The food....if they cut the amount of salt they use in half, it would be probably be great. Had the Dip one time and this time the Asada tacos. Both were inedible. You can tell the food has good flavor, disappointing because of the over salting. Will not eat here again. The adobo fries were sooo good with some ranch. My husband ordered wings and they were def on the spicy side. Went here for Superbowl Sunday this past weekend. Popular craft brewery in Thousand Oaks. To start off with beers, El Rey, Blonde Ale and Smiling Samurai were my top picks. The Neapolitan-style BBQ chicken pizza and buffalo wings were great. Big open space with a lively atmosphere. They brew on-site with a wide selection of beers. Service was good overall, clean/organized setup and ordering was convenient with table ordering option via app. Couldn't enjoy the game or the halftime show as much since it was loud and TV/Projector volumes were low. Location is also dog-friendly on the outdoor deck. Great for casual outings but perhaps less ideal if you want a quiet meal. Parking wasn't much of an issue, with plenty of street parking available. If you're in the Conejo Valley area, it's worth checking out, especially for their beers. read more

The layout was spacious with plenty of seats so that was nice with indoor and outdoor seat. Chose to get a flight at the bar. Quite a few ipas if you're into ipas which we are not. This is not impressed with the service. The fellow behind the bar had a bit of an attitude. However it did change a little bit later on. He might have just been having a bad day. My first time coming here, and have to say I had a good time. The security upfront was very nice. We went an ordered drinks, it was a bit of a line but it went by quickly. The place is pretty crowded, so a little bit hard to find seats at first, but once we did it was nice to relax. Sadly I have to agree with the 1 star reviewers on this one. This place is overpriced and tasteless. The only thing nice about it is the outside seating. Drinks were tasteless Food was cold and old I also didn't like that I placed the order on my phone and the 2 orders were brought out 20 minutes apart. So they were both cold to begin with but the first one got even more cold waiting for the 2nd order. Not cool. Chicken tasted like it was microwaved. Chips came in a container with a date sticker marked 2/25 to which I noticed later after I left because I used it for a to go container. They were old and stale and definitely not worth $7. Uhh, no shit, they were 4 days old. But yes it is just like a self serve cafeteria. Very confusing for a first time visit. I wouldn't recommend the place or return. Service is weird because they serve you but they don't serve you. Not worth a $75 meal. read more

Had a terrific first experience at this local brewery! What a delightful surprise. The staff gave me some samples and I settled on the Dankerman 3 IPA... it was legit. Good hop flavor with balanced finish. I definitely want to try the Liquid Candy next time. The food options look amazing even though I wasn't able to try anytime this time. There is a pizza concept, ice cream concept, coffee menu and full bar. I could definitely see myself hanging out on a weekend with friends or to watch a game. Really awesome atmosphere with open space and plentiful seating. The outdoor porches are really inviting. Can't wait to go back and have another awesome visit soon. read more

I've been going here for years and always have such an amazing time. Whether it's for d girls night, date night or for one of their events (borderline, NYE, etc). Their food is incredible- and they have plenty of gluten free items including my favorite gluten free pizza made in their own brick pizza oven! From their in house beers to the cocktail menu, they've got something you'll love! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Quick service! First visit to this brewery and it was a positive one. They have a huge inside seating area with various high tops and picnic type tables and lots of bar seating, plus they have a huge outdoor patio. They have large screen TVs displaying whatever sports are on, so that is a bonus. The food is standard but should meet the needs of your party - they have a nice looking pizza oven, but we went with trying a Cubano sandwich (pretty good - liked the pickles, bread was just meh - not panini style as I prefer), tots were tasty, and the spring peach goat cheese salad was pretty good. Round it out with a good selection of local craft beer plus a few rotating guest taps and it is a worthwhile stop. The service is always outstanding! No complaints about the food. It has been tasty. The beer is good as well, and the price point is fine. Our complaint is the wine prices. We like to stop by for a beer and wine, but find that we second guess going to THill due to the ridiculous wine prices. I know how much Josh Chardonnay costs in the store. Why would I pay 18$ for a glass? If I go up the street to any other bar the prices are no where near that high. We end up choosing a different restaurant due to one simple issue. Lower the prices of wine to a reasonable amount, and there will be 4 couples who will frequent your establishment more often. read more

It was the perfect spot to end or start the night after our concert. they have have so many beer selections. we had their liquid candy colada, razzle dazzle sour, Tarantula Hill blonde and succulent sipper seltzer. we also ordered food. please note you have to take a seat first to place the order via a QR code or if you order at a bar then you must give them the table # so that they can send you the food you order. My friend told me about this place and of course I had to try it out. My husband loves craft beer so I took him on a date last week to try the beer here. What a wonderful place. So spacious with both indoor and outdoor seating. The beer selection is amazing. I got samplers and my husband ordered by the glass and loved everything he tried. Really good beer. The food was good as well, we shared some asada tacos and a chicken sandwich. Bar food menu is offered here including variety of pizzas. They have a schedule of events happening every week so you can go online and check it out. Music nights, comedy, game nights on tv etc.... Great ambiance and customer service. To my surprise, it was like walking into a cafeteria that served pizza and appetizers. No one came up and greeted you the beers were overpriced. The drinks were weak, and the food was average at best. We ordered four drinks in a beer and our bar tab was $98. I felt like they were shaking the change out of our pockets. We had a pizza some nachos and some brussels sprouts the brussels sprouts were greasy. The pizza was small and the nachos were bland. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone else who's looking for a great meal. This is the first and last time I will dine in at this place and I wish someone would've been honest and upfront with me instead of feeding me the hype. read more

Then, you can order various menu items, everything from chicken tacos and pepperoni pizza to beers and coffee. The menu is chock full of different foods and drinks. What's better is that you order and pay using the link to the menu, and then a waiter or waitress brings the food directly to your table! No waiting for someone to show up once you want to order. You decide what you want and order immediately! There is no awkward splitting of the check when you only "ordered a beer," and you pay for yourself directly through the link. Do Not Go Here! This place has the worst customer service ever! Rude Bartenders, Servers, and especially, Security. This place has expensive drinks & lousy food. This was a horrible experience to say the least. I've never been harassed by anyone, especially, Security. They literally harassed my girl friend and I for absolutely no reason. Watch out for Michael, especially. All of them, should be ashamed of themselves, with their attitude. As retired LE, please be aware of this establishment, and the shady tactics of Security. Still LOVE the brews and the mood, but went recently for the dueling piano show and was again just so extremely disappointed that every dish that piqued my interest was spicy! Even my French fries had so much kick! Seriously ...French fries!!! I had to settle for the chicken tenders to ensure I didn't get spicy food ...and the damn seasoned fries were coated with chili! WTF? Going to pass on any upcoming suggested visits since it's been difficult finding (not spicy or even mild) good eats on the menu my last several trips. read more

I've been there a number of times for a variety of reasons, from a handful of friends getting together for a bite and drinks to a birthday party and a post funeral celebration of life. Each time the service has been very good to excellent. I love that you can order from your table using a QR code. Everyone has their own tab, so neither the staff or you have to hassle with splitting checks. No issues of who had what or who didn't have cocktails vs who did. Because of this, I decided the Hill would be the excellent place to get 50-60 retired coworkers together to reminisce over food & drink. From the start, their event planner Carrie was excellent. a couple weeks prior to the event, she contacted me to see if I had a head count. I told her what I had heard from already and she said that if anything changed greatly, up or down, to let her know. A week prior, I contacted her and let her know I had received another 10 replies, not a problem. Come the day of the event, I arrived a little early and found the area that I had requested cordoned off with my name on signs, tables and chairs ready to go. A short time later, guests began arriving. Anette was our main server and was exceptional. With people mingling around, some people weren't at the table where they ordered from. If I saw a staff member looking lost with food or drinks, I asked them for a name and located the wandering guest. Everything went well. With the fall weather upon us and nights getting colder after the sun set, I was concerned about asking for our group to be outside in the back. I was wearing a t-shirt and expected to be cold. There were (I believe) 2 heaters in our area and at no point did I feel the need to go grab a jacket. The setting was excellent. During the night, a number of guests thanked me for putting this together and said that we should do this there every year. I was glad to hear that they approved of my choice of venue and appreciated the effort put in by Carrie and her staff. And the appreciation was clearly mutual by the fact that as the last of us were leaving, Anette said goodnight and addressed me by name. Thank you to Carrie, Anette and all of the staff that made this night possible! You'll be hearing from me as the summer comes to an end next year! Happy Holidays!! read more

Me and my friends waited in line for 15mjns at the bar, when we got to the front he told us "we had to get in line we didn't wait" when clearly we had been waiting. Racist bartender because my friend was Mexican and he we serving all the whites people and being super friendly. Only male bartender at tarantula 2/14 11pm. Female brunette employee with pigtails randomly jumped in and agreed when she wasn't even there. This whole establishment has gone to fucking trash. We loved going here a year ago, so sad to see what it's turned into. read more
