UPDATE Hi tommy…read moresince you would rather respond to my yelp review instead of my husbands email regarding YOU providing physical PROOF of the "extensive mess" we caused. surely if it was "so extensive" you would of photgraphged this mess correct?..i will upload the photos my planner took prior to the ceremomy and the text msgs i had with my wedding coordinator who made sure the cottage was clean. we didnt eat, nor apply any makeup in the cotttage, in fact i was the ONLY person who put their dress on in the cottage (for photos). again in order to accuse someone of damages you need to PROVIDE PROOF of the damages!.. secondly knowhere on the contract does it say the last call is at 9:15. i will upload a screen shot of my contract that says 'beverage service will end no later than 9:30" i also have an email from cheryl saying last call is at 9:30pm then why were you announcing last call at 9:15pm? my contract also states that guest are to leave by 11pm. then why was your staff removing tables and chairs at 10pm!?!? asking my guests to get up so they can remove the tables!? you do realize all of this is a BREACH OF CONTRACT right? i also find it extremly disheartning that you partially responded to my yelp review. i would love to hear your response about how your on site manager tony failed to help us with the large puddle of water that i had to stand in for the entire ceremony. since we got charged for the "extensive mess" in the bridal cottage shall we expect you to pay for the cleaning i had to pay for to get the literal MUD removed from my dress and heels due to your staff over watering the grass hours before my ceremony was to start?, what about you breaching our contract that i stated above?, regarding the DJ mess, my DJ went to tony multiple times to explain that the speakers were muffled even on low sound to songs with alot of bass. Tommy, if you cannot provide proof of the damages we will continue to dispute the charges and seek legal action if this cannot be resolved especially since our contract was breached on many accounts. please email us PROOF of the "extensive mess" we caused and we will have no problem in paying. We had our wedding in late August 2018 at Brookview, and the quick review is that the day was…read moreMAGICAL. We loved the venue and Brookview team! If I could give 6 out of 5 stars, I would. We leave the venue with a very positive experience. The venue itself is beautiful, nestled in the Agoura Mountains, with one level of the vast green lawn for the ceremony (tucked under beautiful big trees & twinkle lights), and then above the ceremony on another vast green lawn is the reception. For us, the venue was the perfect solution because they already handled many elements (wooden dance floor, twinkle lights, built in bar, built in speakers at reception, real bathrooms), so we didn't feel like we needed to do "as much" DYI as other locations required. But, we were still able to make it our own and very personalized. Another benefit of Brookview is that you can get access early in the morning (9AM) for the bridal party to do hair & make up (not all California venues allow this, surprisingly). Working with Cheryl (for the year leading up to the wedding) was so easy and pleasant. She was gracious the entire time, and she was kind enough to allow us to tour the venue a few times with our out-of-state parents, as well as our coordinators. So, we felt that we had a very good understanding of the space, process, etc. The team was very responsive to emails throughout, and ultimately hired someone while we were planning (named Priscilla, she's great!) to oversee the day-to-day, layouts, logistics, etc. That immensely helped as we got closer to the big day. Another great offer that Brookview has is a large golf cart for grandparents and the wedding party, driving us to/from the bridal suite and groomsmen cottage for our "first look", ceremony, family photos, etc. The golf cart also drives the couple up to the "look out point" above all the other mountain peaks for fabulous photos with your photographer. This is a must-do... Truly stunning. The bridal suite is gorgeous (whites, grays, and pinks) with great lighting for hair and make up. We spent the entire day there listening to music and getting ready. It was very spacious and was a great home base for us. Same for the groomsmen's cottage. Writing an honest review of course comes with some critiques, but they are minor. More so, I write this to help Brookview continue to be the great venue that they are! - Grass at ceremony: The spot where the bride/groom stand was newly planted with grass sod, and you could see the seems from the pieces of sod, so it didn't look like clean, beautiful grass. It was also a bit muddy, so we asked them to stop watering it while we were doing our rehearsal the day before. This should be resolved if they take care of the new grass, so hopefully this was just a 2018 problem. -Clean Up: The venue requires that all personal belongings be cleared out of the suites before the ceremony. It would be less stressful on the coordinators if we had until the end of the night to have that space cleared out (or even the next morning). We just had to be very on-top of this, when there was a lot more going on that felt more important, such as getting the ceremony/reception ready. -Attention to detail with emails: There were moments throughout the planning process where mistakes were made in rental orders, what was included in our package, etc. So, we had to be very careful in checking the work to be sure everything was correct. Not a big deal, but worth noting.

It was such an amazing experience being in our venue to try the food, and Chef Tiff was the absolute best, willing to make changes based on our feedback, and even throwing in a couple of extra things for us to try. Leading up to our wedding, I was so calm, knowing I had full trust in the venue team, and I was so glad I followed that intuition. We received compliments all night long that the staff was incredible, even noting one waiter in particular was the best! People could not stop raving about the food, saying it was the best wedding food they had ever had. People also raved about our appetizer choices, saying they loved the short rib tortellinis, the tuna tartar crackers, and that the mushroom pizza slices were the best they ever had. The bar never ran out of alcohol, and people spent so much time in that area saying it felt like they were in a cozy living room. Finding a venue that is not only stunning, but affordable for the area, and provides the tables, chairs, flatware, and so many furniture pieces you could opt to utilize, was perfect for us. It was the perfect-sized venue for our 92 guests, and I wouldn't change a thing about our day. At the end of the night, Chef Tiff came out to hug us and presented us with a huge bag of leftovers to take home, which we enjoyed the next night for dinner. I mean, she gave us enough food for 8 people to have entrees, and even threw in several desserts. I honestly can't say enough good things about this venue. I would do this again in a heartbeat. I know people are obligated to say nice things after attending a wedding, but the feedback we received was overwhelming from so many of our guests, saying it was the best wedding they had ever been to.

I love how this spot has great facilities to enjoy spending time outside on the front porch or great lawn (with nice fire and plenty of furniture) as well as great paces with the ballroom and library bar. With so much space available, there was plenty of room to talk with others in quieter settings and avoid feeling cramped. This also allowed for a variety of decorations to be available in all different spots as well as the opportunity to wander between different spots throughout the night. The ballroom is quite large and a great spot both for a delicious meal and fun dancing. With the setup, it was easy to move between different spots throughout the whole night. I also found the dressing room setup very convenient as there was easy access to the ballroom and great lawn, making it easy to coordinate with different people prior to the ceremony.

However, when my next daughter, FSIL and I started looking at venues...I kept thing about Maravilla, as I knew it was exactly what they were looking for. But-I thought-maybe Jenn had a bad day the last time we were there-and we opted to give the venue a chance. I am glad we did. Jenn was very friendly, accommodating and informative. It was as if I was meeting a completely different person. My daughter's wedding here was in October-and it was absolutely wonderful. The venue is just gorgeous, the grounds are meticulously kept-and without a doubt the wedding coordinator Mel that is part of the package at Maravilla was absolutely OUTSTANDING. She made my daughter's day stress free and perfect. She kept everything on schedule and handled every/any issue that came up immediately. The Glam house is fantastic-but I do not like that they boot you out several hours before the event and give you a miniscule trailer for the bridal party. Only a few of our 7 people could fit in the trainer room at one time, there was only 2 seats. And we had to move all of our things there while we were only half ready. The food was very good, however we were forced to use their one caterer (Command Performance)...and while every other caterer offers a free tasting for up to 4 guests- Command Performance told us that since they were our only option, they would not do a 'free tasting' but would 'agree' to one for us @ $300 for the couple and $150 per additional person. The real rub was when my friend's son got married at the Gerry- you can choose your caterer from a list. And Command Performance is on that list-and they got free tastings. When we brought that to his attention, he said-"well they have choices of caters, so in that case, we will give free tastings". Pros: Beautiful setting Excellent parking Secure location Easy access Grounds are meticulously kept Fantastic support staff Coordinator Mel Glam room/house Lots of prop choices from her 'barn' Cons: Limited time in the glam house Extremely small trailer room for the bridal party after glam room Forced to use from their limited vendors/lack of competition allows them to take advantage of you Seems like many standard items have an 'extra' charge

The restrooms were clean, but definitely not maintained throughout the night. Toilets were getting clogged and not fixed despite reporting the issue to the workers. The parking area floor is mixed grass and gravel, so lady's beware to wear proper shoes, so your heels don't sink into the grassy areas. ;) There are only 4 handicap parking spaces. Overall, the venue was pretty. Beautiful outdoor wedding venue-especially at night.

We received so many compliments from our wedding guests about this gem we found in Fillmore. The staff was very helpful and Corinne was great making sure all our vendors were committed to making our day special and smooth by having all their ducks in order. The ceremony took place on the helipad, then cocktail hour on the balcony overlooking the sunset, then reception outside by the infinity pool. We didn't see the chefs at work because they working out of the closed garage. The only thing that irked me was the use of fancy port o potties. I thought there would be restrooms inside the house but I guess it was just for the bridal party. As the night progressed the toilet became stinky. I think if there isn't a wedding going on then this is actually someone's private home. There is an infinity pool after all. The sunset views from above make this venue breathtaking.
