The grounds are too beautiful to describe in this brief review, and I would certainly advise a site visit to take it all in. Soltana's deft handling of the 25, or so, members of the wedding party, all while being patient, and with a smile, was more than reassuring to me, and the others as well. Her staff seamlessly underpinned the event. Her staff were professional, well trained, and just beautiful people. A live event can go "off" at any time. Eden gardens was a beautiful venue with a great layout for our wedding. Although we did use a healthy amount of florals, the venue's vegetation itself lends much to the beauty of the event and we could have likely had less florals with no loss of ambience. The night lighting is beautifully romantic without being too dark, in addition to the multiple fountains adding elegance. The paved walkways were well maintained and kept clean of leaf litter during our event. The availability of two get-ready suites was essential to our queer wedding, and provided ample space for both brides to get ready comfortably with family. Booking the venue requires you to hire their partner Velvet Alley for wedding coordination (or buying them out), but we recommend you take the full coordination package as their assistance with the entire event was invaluable. Soltana was an amazing addition to our planning team, and that is coming from a couple who is fiercely independent, self-sufficient and has high expectations. Soltana was detail oriented, highly-competent, easy to communicate with, ready to answer questions, very willing to help us solve problems, and positive when talking to us. We can honestly say that dealing with Soltana was a highlight of our wedding planning process and our big day would not have been as smooth without her. Working with the teams at Eden Gardens, Velvet Alley Events, and Command Performance Catering greatly exceeded our expectations! This was the venue of our dreams and definitely worth the price. The venue itself is gorgeous, but it also comes with some great amenities that made it a perfect fit for us (such as the cottage and bungalow to get ready in as well as the accessibility). It was easy for our guests to get to, there is plenty of parking, and the whole space is just beautiful. We loved all of the peacocks and water features - it feels like you're walking into an oasis. The cottage and bungalow were as huge plus for us as we got to hang out and get ready before the ceremony in the AC with our friends and family. Our guests kept telling us how much they loved the venue as well as the Eden Gardens, Velvet Alley Events, and CPC staff as everyone was so helpful and friendly. We are also really glad to have chosen preferred vendors, as everyone worked together seamlessly and knew exactly how to get around the venue. The venue and coordinator teams were extremely thorough with the information they provided and helped us through every step of the process. Soltana was able to answer all of our questions and made sure everything went according to plan. This made the day of the wedding completely stress-free and everything ran so smoothly. We hired Sultana's event planning services through Eden Garden because we had no choice -- the venue operates like a mafia, forcing clients to use their in-house vendors whether they want to or not. Marisa is the owner And sultana is producer work for the event From the beginning, Sultana was unpleasant and unhelpful. Just one week before our wedding, she suddenly realized she needed to contact our vendors for approval -- something that should have been handled weeks in advance. When things didn't go smoothly, she blamed us for it. To make things worse, Sultana asked us for an additional $500, claiming she had worked overtime. This request came without any prior notice -- she simply decided she deserved more money. She later backed down, acknowledging she was wrong. It's important to know that Sultana is the in-house planner at Eden Garden and a close friend of the owner, Marisa. The day before the wedding, we had a meeting with Marisa and Sultana. Marisa spoke to us in a very disrespectful and demeaning way, saying: "You should be thankful Sultana is only asking for $500. You're lucky I'm not charging you, because my time is worth $250/hour." My wife and I looked at each other in complete shock at the level of arrogance and lack of professionalism. Also, the day before the event, my wife sent Sultana our guest list via text message. Sultana responded coldly: "From now on, contact me only via email." This was clearly because we refused to pay the extra $500 she demanded. Bottom line: I absolutely do not recommend working with Eden Garden. Our experience was stressful, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. read more

The grounds are just beautiful and the layout with the pathways that lead to different gathering spots-is so creative, serene and unique beginning with the aviaries as you enter and walk around, homes to the most beautiful white peacocks! Also an aviary gathering section to sip on some lemonade or tea and sign the guestbook while waiting to enter the ceremony, a beautiful wide open seating area located in the grassy garden with a lake and fountain in the backdrop, and afterwards there's the lush pathway leading to the cocktail/Horsd'oeuvre area, and just behind this area is another pathway leading to the dining/reception area. The food was wonderful! They use their caterers (Command Performance) Everything is lovely and welcoming and perfect for outdoor event weather permitting... A must see! Highly recommend! read more

From the moment we stepped onto the grounds, we knew we had found the place -- and not just because the venue is stunning (which it is), but because of the incredible team behind it. Marissa, the venue manager, is an absolute gem. She was responsive, thoughtful, and handled every detail with grace and professionalism. You can tell she genuinely cares about making each couple's day unforgettable. She kept things running smoothly without ever being overbearing -- a rare balance that made us feel completely supported without losing our own vision. And then there's Soltana, the on-site wedding coordinator and planner, who is honestly a fairy godmother in disguise. Organized, calm, and completely unflappable, she managed everything from timeline coordination to last-minute hiccups with a smile. Her ability to keep everyone on schedule and in good spirits is nothing short of miraculous. Now, I've seen a few negative reviews floating around, and to be honest... Bride here: I recently had the opportunity to have my wedding at this venue, and I must say, the venue itself was a dream come true. It matched everything I had envisioned and seen in pictures, and it truly set the stage for a magical day. However, the experience took an unfortunate turn due to the day planner provided by the venue. Working with her was nothing short of a nightmare. She proved to be extremely difficult to work with, not just for me but also for every vendor involved in the event. Her lack of professionalism and cooperation caused a great deal of stress and frustration before and on the day. At one point, I was so exasperated with her that I even considered asking if she could be excluded from participating on the day of the event. This is something I never anticipated having to do, especially given the venue's reputation and the amount of money invested. The owner and the staff did nothing about it. In summary, while the venue itself is a dream, the experience was marred by the day planner's incompetence and lack of professionalism. It's disappointing that such an integral part of the event could have such a negative impact. I hope the venue takes this feedback seriously and addresses these issues to ensure that future clients have a smoother and more enjoyable experience. If the wedding coordinator isn't changed. I would not get married here. The stress on all my other vendors and on me and my family just isn't worth it. I was very disappointed in how the facility handled my concerns with her. We had our Wedding here May 6th and could not have been happier. Rachel was wonderful from beginning to end. Every little question I emailed about was answered right away. The event space is absolutely beautiful. I rented the cottage in the back to get ready and it was fabulous. So clean and comfortable. I also love that they use Command Catering. As a guest, I will say that the venue was very nice and the family wedding I attended was quite lovely. I can't speak to the cost, nor the work that went into putting on the event, just the end result from my perspective, and it was totally positive. The couple had the ceremony at the site, complete with the occasional interruption of the peacocks and/or peahens throwing their very audible $0.02 in, which was not disruptive and led a bit of levity to the event. from there, the party moved to a standing reception area with passed apps and a bar and then to a seated dinner. Dinner itself was vegetarian, which ended up being a bit pasta-heavy, but overall it was very nice and the food itself was very tasty. read more

After looking at several venues from West Hollywood to Malibu we visited Eden Gardens and fell in love with the plethora of greenery that gave us tropical vibes. Our tour guide, Kay, made us feel at home immediately while showing us every nook and cranny of the property. We were so impressed with her patience and never felt at any moment that we were being "sold" something or pushed. Let me tell you that after going to other venues for tours that is not always the case. Our coordinators Soltana and Heather were fantastic. Soltana helped alleviate any of the stress with timelines and put any apprehensions at ease. We had some revisions leading up to our wedding day and Soltana accommodated all of those with grace and precision. The most important part was how amazing they all made us feel on the day. The coordinators and staff treated us like royalty the whole evening. Their attentiveness to us couldn't have been any more remarkable. Our one concern prior to the wedding was that the venue had a sound limit which we thought might be too low and dampen the mood for the dancing. Soltana and Kay assured us that the music would be more than loud enough and that in all their years here no one had complained about the music being too low. When the dancing time came, they were absolutely right! There was no issue with the volume whatsoever. We had a REAL DANCE PARTY! My husband is Persian so trust me. If you don't know anything about Persian weddings, know that they tend to be one heck of a dance club and ours was no different. So many of our guests said this was the best wedding they'd been to in their lives. I'd say it was epic. read more

This review is being written as a guest of an event held there, not as the party leasing the venue. Loved it. Access to the venue and parking is easy as can be. Once you go through the main entrance, you walk along a winding path through large cages of beautiful, white peacocks and other birds. There is foliage all around and a pond with lily pads. You seriously feel as though you are leaving the "concrete world" behind and are stepping into some sort of fairyland. The concrete walks had the imprints of leaves pressed into them. The paths are clearly marked, and we were first led to a gathering area where our hosts had the guest book, some pictures and beverages. One of the peacock cages is right next to this area and everyone was taking pictures of the bird. After that, we moved on to the actual ceremony area. There is an arbor and stage and chairs set up on a grass area. Sound system was good and it was a beautiful area for the marriage. Afterwards, we moved on to a large cocktail/reception area which had both a covered patio with seating and a smaller area next to more green grass. The tables for dinner were set up on the grass while the wedding party had a table in a raised area facing the grass. Appetizers were served, the typical stuffed mushrooms, bacon-wrapped something and crab cakes. They were good. Food that was served was a buffet of chicken or short ribs, potatoes, vegetables, salad and rolls. It was typical wedding fare. Table service was good and the sound system was food for both music and toasts. This venue is well worth consideration. read more

All in all, our experience with this place left such a sour taste in our mouths, that even though we thought this was the best place to have our wedding initially, we backed out. It all comes down to bad communication, a lack of customer service, and inaccurate information. Basically, we, specifically I fell in love with this place from the moment I saw it. It was excellent what I wanted for my wedding. When we took our tour, we did notice that the lady giving us the tour was a little flustered, and kept asking us the same questions many times. But she was very nice, so we let it go. She mentioned that the property was under new management, by the owners kids, and that prices were being raised. However, she said multiple times that it was only the Friday and Sunday rates that were going up for the site fee to match the Saturday rate of $5,900. She said as long as we had at least 150 people, which we told her multiple times that we would, at our wedding the rate would be the same. Anything over 150, it was an extra $10 per person, and we said that's fine. So we decided to book it for our wedding. However, when we asked for the price breakdown, all of a sudden there was an additional $1,500 charge, even though we said we were only having 150 people. When we asked about it, she said that that was correct, that they made it so that in addition to the $5,900 site fee, they are requiring and additional $10 a head for each person, basically just to be on site. But remember they require a minimum of 150 people on Saturdays. Also you're required to go with this catering. So, in addition to all that they are charging us for, now they require an additional amount of money just for people attending our wedding, which, isn't that supposed to be covered in the site fee? Don't get me wrong, we understand that prices have gone up, and we would have paid for it if it had been an increased site fee, but this was never explained to us before, and it wasn't anywhere on the website, which we pointed out, and we requested that they honor the original price that was quoted to us, since this additional charge kind of just feels like they are gouging us at every opportunity, which also feels like a kick in the teeth. However, when we heard from her the next day about our request, she said the owners had said no. Even though it isn't on their website, their website says that their prices are subject to change without notice. I told her that we get that, but the price we were quoted should have been honored, and it's truly a disappointing experience. They had mentioned that prices had gone up due to renovations and everything they had going on there. To me, that is a poor excuse. That was their business decision to renovate. It is not up to me or the other people to pay for their renovations. I told them that we would no longer be requesting the use of their site for our wedding, and it had put such a sour taste in our mouths that even if they waived the additional fee, we were done. Here's the kicker though, if they had just increased the site fee and said it was due to maintaining the property, we would have paid it. But it seemed like such a slimy tactic to not only charge a site fee, and charge a lot of money per person for catering, but to then charge basically an entrance fee per person, with 150 person minimum, to come to our wedding? That was not right, and I told them that as well. After about 10 minutes of us hanging up with each other, I get a call back from the lady we had been working with. She said she spoke to the owner and they didn't "want us to have a sour taste in our mouths, so they would honor the original price." After all of this though, the sour taste was already there. This is what they should have said from the get go, but their lack of any sympathy or taking any accountability or responsibility for the fact that they had quoted us one price for a while and then changed it without any notice, and our knowledge from what was on their website agreed with us, just ruined the whole thing, and made us realize that we didn't want to give them our money, even if they finally agreed to honor the original price. It seems like they were only willing to do that to keep us from writing a negative review, but that's not okay. We weren't throwing a temper tantrum, we just wanted the price we were quoted, and didn't want to be taken advantage of for the fact that we are having an event with the word wedding in it. Everything to do with weddings is already expensive enough, but this one just felt like an additional punch to the gut. read more

Eden Gardens is ABSOLUTELY beautiful, and my pictures really show that. The venue is large and beautiful great for those like the botanical garden feel. The guest would not stop raving about how beautiful it is. It is one of the most underrated venues in the Ventura County and one I would recommend to anyone. It is covered in greenery, water features, peacocks, love birds and so many other cool features. They have a cottage on site for the bride to get ready in which makes it simpler for photos and everyone being there when they are supposed to be. They also had a groom's bungalow that was a trailer on the property where the guys could hang out and my husband said he had a good time. Eden Gardens has it all when it comes to a wedding venue, I would recommend checking it out to see if it would meet your needs too! Soltana also knows her stuff when it comes to weddings. I appreciated how direct, candid, and honest that she was about the entire process and the amount of time and energy that she put into my wedding day. Our wedding was last Sunday and wow, I'm still blown away. Every guest I've talked to, and my parents and friends have talked to said it was the best wedding we've ever been to. The venue is just drop dead gorgeous and I think the wedding looked three times as expensive as it was. We had so much fun! The food was amazing! And the catering team was great. We were able to come visit the venue anytime, and unlike other venues, Kay who gave us tours wasn't pushy at all for us to book the venue. She even showed up on our wedding day just to watch our first dance, and checked with us of course. We really grew to love the whole staff! On the big day I was able to relax and enjoy it thanks to being able to trust Soltana who was our day or coordinator. She really went above and beyond to the point that I could fully trust her to run the show, and I'm crazy perfectionist ocd. She was really easy to contact via phone and email anytime and she always got back to my many many emails promptly! We couldn't be happier with our wedding! When we were searching for a venue, we knew we did not want a hall and wanted something different. Finding Eden Gardens by a google search I knew I wanted to check it out. Once we drove up to have a tour we were in love with the place. We booked it and we're so happy we did. The day of the wedding was beautiful! Family and friends were so impressed with the venue and the catering. Velvet alley was also great to work with. Whenever I had questions Soltana was very responsive and always had an answer or solution to my questions. Her team was great the day of the wedding. My friends got married at Eden Gardens recently and it was such a beautiful wedding venue. The gardens are lush and green with whimsical touches everywhere. They have white peacocks on-site with fountains, waterfalls, and paved paths. I took a Lyft to the venue from my hotel but they have parking on-site as well. The grounds are gorgeous. They had an intimate wedding of about 150 guests on a grassy area. The weather was perfect and they even had a backup tent just in case of rain. They were able to choose their own caterer and bring in outside booze for their hosted bar. It was a lovely day for a wedding and even more memorable at this venue. read more

I was the wedding Dj at this venue a few weeks ago. Beautiful place. It was a little chilly, but the patio cover they had was great to keep the heat in. The garden is really nice to walk through. For vendors, moving in and out was really easy and everything was close by. I only did reception though. The ceremony area is a little bit of a walk. read more
