We considered this venue for my first daughter's wedding 3 years ago, and TBH, although the venue was incredible...we had a bad experience with Jenn and seeing several reviews of others who experienced what we did...so we opted out of considering the venue. However, when my next daughter, FSIL and I started looking at venues...I kept thing about Maravilla, as I knew it was exactly what they were looking for. We talked about the past experience her sister and I had, and so at first did not want to consider the venue. But-I thought-maybe Jenn had a bad day the last time we were there-and we opted to give the venue a chance. I am glad we did. Jenn was very friendly, accommodating and informative. It was as if I was meeting a completely different person. My daughter's wedding here was in October-and it was absolutely wonderful. The venue is just gorgeous, the grounds are meticulously kept-and without a doubt the wedding coordinator Mel that is part of the package at Maravilla was absolutely OUTSTANDING. She made my daughter's day stress free and perfect. She kept everything on schedule and handled every/any issue that came up immediately. The Glam house is fantastic-but I do not like that they boot you out several hours before the event and give you a miniscule trailer for the bridal party. Only a few of our 7 people could fit in the trainer room at one time, there was only 2 seats. And we had to move all of our things there while we were only half ready. The food was very good, however we were forced to use their one caterer (Command Performance)...and while every other caterer offers a free tasting for up to 4 guests- Command Performance told us that since they were our only option, they would not do a 'free tasting' but would 'agree' to one for us @ $300 for the couple and $150 per additional person. The real rub was when my friend's son got married at the Gerry- you can choose your caterer from a list. And Command Performance is on that list-and they got free tastings. When we brought that to his attention, he said-"well they have choices of caters, so in that case, we will give free tastings". Pros: Beautiful setting Excellent parking Secure location Easy access Grounds are meticulously kept Fantastic support staff Coordinator Mel Glam room/house Lots of prop choices from her 'barn' Cons: Limited time in the glam house Extremely small trailer room for the bridal party after glam room Forced to use from their limited vendors/lack of competition allows them to take advantage of you Seems like many standard items have an 'extra' charge read more

Just got married here July 2026 and it was better than expected! They have a list of preferred vendors you must choose from and a mandandatory catering/bar, but our guests are still raving about the food/drink and the rest of the vendors were top tier. Their rental selection was excellent and we enjoyed all the options to choose from during the planning. The coordinator was very pleasant and professional the whole way. She worked with our own planner and helped make our special day go as smooth as possible. The only thing that was off-putting was the owner who lives onsite. She came down during the last couple hours of our wedding with her dog and helped herself to our food, deserts, and coffee bar without invitation. She also interrupted the beginning of our private last dance. Everything else was was dream! read more

We held our daughters wedding at Maravilla July 2026. The venue is so beautiful, and Mel, the coordinator, did an amazing job! She is so on top of everything and keeps everyone else on schedule! Also their required Caterer was fantastic, many complements from guest during the night on how delicious the dinner was. One thing many of our guest mentioned was their large parking lot, and how easy it was to walk from the lot to the venue. A perfect place to hold your wedding!! read more

We got married at Maravilla Gardens on May 29th, 2026. Mel is incredible. From the moment we began working together, she was on it! She is communicative, detail-oriented, and incredibly thoughtful. On the wedding day, we felt completely taken care of. Mel managed everything and got everyone to where they needed to be.I didn't have to worry about a single thing! Every detail, every piece of signage, every vision we had was executed perfectly. The whole experience felt effortless and seamless. The entire venue was so beautiful with our guests still raving about it! Thank you to Mel and Maravilla Gardens for helping make the wedding of our dreams! read more

Maravilla Gardens was the most incredible wedding venue! I just had my wedding on 09.13.2025 and heard nothing but amazing things from my guests about the beautiful landscaping and views! The venue was perfect for wedding vision: my romantic, elegant, garden! The staff are all so nice. One of the biggest things that led me to book Maravilla Gardens, besides the aesthetic, was the glam studio! As the bride I didn't want to get in a car after putting on my dress and being dolled up. The glam studio is on site and available all day until a couple hours before the ceremony! It made the day that much more seamless to already be on site with my wedding party, family, and event staff! The venue also comes with a coordinator, Mel. If I could write a separate review just for Mel I would give her 100 stars. She was made to be a wedding coordinator. She was so thoughtful and attentive throughout the planning process. She handled the rehearsal so seamlessly and made sure everyone knew what to do on the day. When the chaos of the wedding day actually began, Mel was ON TOP OF IT. She made sure everything happened on time and without flaw. I literally had the easiest day/ night for a wedding- I didn't even know that was possible. She made sure my fiancé and I ate and got all the photos we wanted as well. She checked in on me but was never in the way. She was assertive but never rude. She was attentive but never a bother. She was absolutely incredible and I would hire her for every event I have from here on out if she is available. Thank you so much Mel! Love, Rachael and Faraaz read more

Our family is happy to share our experience of Maravilla Gardens and the expert attention to detail we received from beginning to end. The venue alone is beautifully maintained, add in Mel the most amazing wedding planner, and the yummiest food provided by Keith with CP Catering, the day could not have turned out more wonderfully! Jana Bunge and her crew provided hair and makeup which completed preparations perfectly ..... overall, we thank Maravilla Gardens from the bottom of our hearts for all of your hard work!! read more

My husband and I got married at Maravilla Gardens on October 11, 2024. If you want a beautiful outdoor wedding, Maravilla Gardens is an absolute dream! Choosing this venue was one of the best decisions we made for our special day. From the first tour, I was captivated by the lush greenery, abundant flowers, and stunning views that make this place magical. Since we started with a tight budget, we wanted a venue that wouldn't require much extra decor. Maravilla Gardens exceeded our expectations in this area, with its natural beauty allowing us to keep florals and decor minimal. Our guests couldn't stop raving about how breathtaking and enchanting everything looked. And there was absolutely no shortage of photo opportunities! So many beautiful backdrops for all your photography and videography needs. The venue layout is perfect for seamless transitions, from the welcome garden to the ceremony space, cocktail hour, and reception area. Guests easily flowed between spaces, and the setup felt spacious but connected. The dance floor being central to the reception meant everyone could feel included, whether seated or on the dance floor. We also appreciated the incentive to book within 30 days, which allowed us to add on unique touches like a ceremony arch, chandeliers, and a dessert table. Maravilla's rentals fit perfectly with our earthy color theme and were all beautifully maintained. Their inclusions--tables, chairs, linens, a coordinator, a grand sparkler exit, and more--made planning so much easier. Mel, our coordinator, was incredible! Her experience shows in everything she does. She offered excellent suggestions, was highly responsive, and made sure the day was completely seamless. It's a huge comfort to work with someone who you know has everything under control. With Command Performance Catering and Brick and Brass Bar as the exclusive catering and bar vendors, planning was simplified. Both were very affordable for the quality and customization they offered. We worked with Keith, who helped us create a menu and drink selection our guests loved--especially the appetizers like the grilled cheese shots, which were a hit! Maravilla Gardens provided the perfect backdrop for our wedding, and the ease of planning here was invaluable. If you're considering this venue, know that you're in great hands with their team and that the natural beauty of the space will wow your guests just as much as it did ours. read more

My partner and I got married at Maravilla Gardens this past July, and it was a stunning venue and experience. We were told by many friends and family that this was one of the top weddings they had attended, and that the venue was breathtaking. We attended the Camarillo Wedding Expo and saw the views of the cocktail hour and dance floor during sunset, and were convinced! The flow and layout of the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception areas were a highlight for us. Maravilla Gardens' team uses a software called Basecamp, which makes planning organized and straightforward, and integrates with one's email as well. There were several open houses and dinners at the venue where we could attend and enjoy as if we were guests, which was great in helping us achieve our wedding vision. The venue comes with a variety of decorations, and you can personalize them as you like, which is excellent for any aesthetic you're picturing, as you can tailor it to your taste and preferences (we went for a wildflower theme with The English Garden in Westlake). Maravilla Gardens includes a day-of coordinator, as well as planning support in the several months leading up to the wedding. Our wedding coordinator was Mel, and we can't thank her enough. Mel did an excellent job of answering all our questions, and throughout the day, she took care of everything. I felt calm and collected as she stepped in and led with grace. My husband and I were able to enjoy every part of the wedding because she was handling all the logistical details. I truly danced almost the whole entirety of the wedding because I knew the venue, Mel, and my vendors had it covered! To me, that was invaluable! Some other reflections from our experience: -Glam Studio for getting ready was excellent and so convenient, it's a good idea to get catering. -Command Performance Catering and Brick and Brass Bartending were phenomenal! We got many compliments on the food -Views, ambience, and general atmosphere felt intimate for our out-of-town families and friends -There was even a bonus cat that visited us the morning of (we love cats)! -The venue put lovebirds in the cage as guests arrived which was very cute -Having an earlier ceremony time (4:30) in early July meant that those in my bridal party on the left were toasted by the sun during the ceremony, the groom's side was fine (or right side of the stage is in the shade). -Extending time to a later hour also means one has to pay several vendors extra for additional coverage; it is not a one-time flat fee. -When moved to the getting-ready trailer, the room was a bit small and stuffy, but we weren't in there for too long Overall, our wedding was even better than we could have imagined, and we thank our venue, Maravilla Gardens, for that! read more

Wonderful location to have your event. Both the wedding and the reception were here. Absolutely beautiful. The only suggestion I would make is to get an actual dance floor. But they might be keeping what they currently have to keep the entire theme fluid. The dressing rooms and restrooms are good and easy to access. There is lots of room and the view is wonderful. read more

My wedding was on April 16, 2022 and I want to give a big thank you to the Maravilla Gardens team and command performance for the excellent food. They are the most organized people I have ever worked with. Erin was assigned as my wedding coordinator and she did a fantastic job. I loved her energy and she's super sweet too. All my guest enjoyed the venue and kept saying how beautiful everything was and the food was so delicious! They use a website called base camp which was not hard to use but can be annoying because you can't use your phone. You must use a computer to view everything. You have to use all the vendors from the list they provide which makes it easier. The only down fall is the wedding ending at 10:50pm due to the noise ordinance being only till 11pm and I wish it could've at least ended at midnight because you barely have time to enjoy with your guest, also since our wedding was in April, we had to get 11 heaters because it gets really cold at night which was an extra $900, but I would definitely pick this venue again just in June or July. read more

I wish there were more stars to give. My husband Chris and I were married here on 8.14.21. This venue has the entire wedding process seamlessly designed. When we were first touring the venue we bumped into Melissa, a coordinator at the venue who we also hired as a wedding planner. BEST DECISION EVER! I love the intimacy of this venue, the local vendors all know each other and work together so well. You know you have the most beautiful venue when the majority of your friends and family still have pictures from your wedding as their profile pictures on social media! Haha. Our original wedding date was 8.15.20, but then, Covid happened. God bless Melissa who not only was already dealing with the most indecisive bride on the planet, then had to cancel the wedding and then reschedule to a date that just so happened to be when "delta- Covid" camabout. I was an anxiety ridden mess, but Melissa and Maravilla were like God sent angels who hosted the most magical night of our lives where we completely forgot about all the chaos going on in the world. Melissa was available for every text, call, and on the day she would constantly find us after we kept sneaking off she would pop up and be like "time for ..." and we would laugh because she always knew where we were. Our guest were so impressed with our wedding and talk about it til this day. If anyone is considering this venue or having Melissa as a coordinator or wedding planner, this is your sign, sign the paper, there's no better venue. If anyone has questions for a previous bride feel free to reach out to me and I'm happy to share advice or pictures @heavenlyleen read more

WOW! No words can explain how Amazing Maravilla Gardens is. Our wedding was on Sept. 28, 2024. The Location is breathtaking. Jen and Mel were helpful and amazing from the start till the very end. The venue pretty much comes with everything you need. Booking the venue, made our wedding planning easy and seamless. They have a list of venders that they recommend and made that part of wedding planning just as easy. Our guests loved our wedding and said it was the most beautiful wedding they have ever been to. We 1000% recommend Maravilla Gardens for your special Day! Thank You again Jen and Mel, for making our wedding day magical and unforgettable. read more

As wedding photographers for the past 12 years, We have been to a lot of wedding venues. We love the team, command performance catering is always insanely delicious, the light is unreal, and they keep those grounds immaculate. Our Maravilla couples are always the most stress-free because they are in great hands and you feel it in the photos. I would recommend this venue all day every day. Oh man... This place, absolutely beautiful. But for what they charge... so not worth it to get married here, at least for us. The price put such a negative spin on this place, specifically for my fiancé. With the price that they are charging, we basically expect them to have a contingency plan for if it rains... but you have to pay an extra $8k to use a tent they already own?? Also, the lady that gave us the tour, Jen, man it was like PULLING TEETH to try to get her to have any kind of interaction with us. What is up with these places not caring about customer service? Like we get it, you do think 15 times a day, but we don't, and we want to be excited about having our wedding there, with people who seem to care, or at least someone who is excited to show us their location. The best part was the cat, Gypsy, that followed us the whole time... but literally my fiancé was almost MAD when we left there, and he never gets mad. Feels like they're just taking the piss out of it being a wedding venue. Not worth it. read more

We just had our wedding at Maravilla Gardens and it was one of the most beautiful, magical, wonderful experiences of my LIFE. The venue itself is just so unique and beautiful. The planning team, Jenn, Mel, Keith, Robert, Gidget etc are just masters at wedding planning and so the entire process was so easy and helpful. All of our guests loved the California feel to the venue and how unique it was. Maravilla constantly updates their own rentals, decor and services so it's always building. We also rented the day of getting ready house which was a life saver and saved me so much stress and worry about transportation. Mel is a dream come true month of coordinator and was very responsive and professional. We were so happy to have met her. Jenn was with his most of the earlier planning process and her and Gidget helped with all of the set up to throw it over the Mel. Keith and Robert for Command Performance Catering were amazing and so informative and helpful when building our wedding menu. We had multiple guests asking if the catering had a restaurant as well! Everyone absolutely loved the food, the atmosphere, the venue and everything that made our day as unique and magical as I could have ever imagined. read more

Jen, please consider self reflection because all of your 1 star reviews are complaining about your communication skills, how unwelcoming you are, and how rude you come off. I felt your reply back was full of incorrect and misleading information, there was no way you gave us any type of discount or matched any prices with any other venues because 1. You were the first venue we looked at in Camarillo 2. The price you gave me in person during our first visit was the same price you gave me months prior when I contacted you over the phone for the 1st time. So this story of you matching prices with other venues is completely made up and shows how unprofessional this is. Besides the owners at casi cielo let us know if we needed to add a few chairs because we were going to have 2 more guest arrive it wouldn't be any type of additional cost, unlike at your facility where it's $100 a chair for the ceremony. This not only shows how money hungry this business is but how unaccommodating you are. Besides I'm not unsatisfied with the cost of things, my husband, all of my guest and I felt unsatisfied with you. Just like every other 1 start review on here. If that doesn't give you a wake up call about how your person skills needing improvement well you'll be seeing more negative reviews complaining them. I don't need you to "try and resolve things" with me because there's absolutely nothing you can do. Wedding day is over and I'm very grateful for that special day and very grateful we only spend 3 hours there for a beautiful ceremony. Jackie at casi cielo is an amazing example of how venue owners should be, welcoming, comforting, reassuring, and in general just nice. read more

This is a beautiful venue for a wedding. We got married there in May 2022. Our guests thought it was lovely. That being said, there were numerous missteps that still upset me and I'm posting to leave some tips. I had discussed with our coordinator about the seating arrangements and family dynamics and she assured me she completely understood my issues and that it would definitely be taken care of. Day of the wedding there were no reserved signs on the first two rows like we had discussed and there were eight chairs instead of five for each of the first two rows. If you're getting married there have someone in your wedding party check over the seating and make sure reserve signs are placed if that's important to you. We had to pay for an extra person to help setup which was about an extra $400. Just to let you know if they say they need an assistant. It also cost us another $100 to have our arch flowers moved to be behind our table at the reception. While we were getting ready I thought the coordinator would come say hello at some point but she never did and I was informed after the wedding by Jen that that is not something they have to do. So don't expect that curtesy. I was thinking we could give the vender tips to the coordinator when she came to say hello but that didn't happen. Instead, during the reception the coordinator came up to myself and my husband asking for the tips so then my husband had to leave our reception and go searching for them for twenty minutes. She could have asked one of my bridesmaids instead of taking my husband away from our guests to look for money in the dark! So another tip..have a bridesmaid go down and give your coordinator the vender tips sometime during the day so this doesn't happen to you. After the ceremony was over and we took all of our pictures we went to the getting ready trailer and were there for a bit thinking the coordinator would come and tell us when we could go see the reception space before the guests were seated. Didn't happen. So we never got to see the reception space until everyone was seated and everything started. So that's another tip. Don't wait! Just go check it out while your guests are at cocktail hour. They placed plates on all the tables which I didn't want. We never received an explanation for why things weren't done the way they were planned or why our wedding cake wasn't cut and served to anyone but that's a catering issue. There were so many things I would have done differently if I had known.. so another tip is if you have a complicated family dynamic just hire a wedding planner. Jen told us during the viewing that they had it so organized that we wouldn't need one. But then when I talked to her after the wedding she said we had challenging people in our group and we should have had a planner. We had numerous things go wrong on our wedding day..there was a member of the catering staff having an allergic reaction in the bathroom, the caterer could have cared less about us. The most expensive DJ was lovely but also played the wrong song when I walked down the aisle. Another tip...If you have food allergies in your wedding party or guests which is everyone right?! Discuss it with the caterers and find alternatives for your guests. We assumed since the menu didn't list wheat on the chicken piccata and that we had informed them of the wheat allergy that it would be fine but no. It has wheat. So the caterer came up to my husband sometime during the afternoon and told him he would be getting his food from a restaurant down the street! Never mind that our guests with wheat allergies were out of luck. I think they were offered the vegan entree instead. Anyway! I'm happy we were married and the venue is beautiful. Just do yourself a favor and make sure you have the help you need. Also...If you have someone in your wedding party complain, refuse to help you and be rude to you all day, just kick them out before they're in all your pictures and yell inappropriately at your coordinator and you decide they don't need to be your friend anymore. I think Jen and her husband are lovely. Jen was not there the day of my wedding and was out of town. read more

Definitely don't waste your time here!! Jen made the experience unbearable for us from the very moment we met her. The tour she gave us immediately felt off and rushed. The information she gave us would change from the info she emailed my wife. After the tour my wife and I could not decide what to do! The venue is really nice, but Jen's service is terrible. We should've listened to the other 1 star reviews complaining about the same thing. (Jen's terrible service). Unfortunately, as our big day came closer there was a slight chance of rain and Jen was no help whatsoever. She scheduled a call with my wife and we had her on speaker, MOST NEGATIVE PERSON EVER BRO. This lady proceeds to tell my wife that we should change our date because of the many things that will go wrong on our wedding day. Keep in mind it was only a slight percentage that whole week. My wife and I were just trying to stay positive and hope for the best, meanwhile Jen starts painting a horrible picture of how our wedding will turn out. Anytime we decide we want to do something it's like we're being an inconvenience to her and doesn't want to help out. We decide we want to move forward with our original wedding date, instead of being supportive and easy to work with, it's the opposite. Once we mentioned the chance of rain to ALL of our other vendors, they were absolutely amazing. Our other vendors reassured us that they will make things work however they can and to help us not stress on our special day. The most frustrating part is, my wife leaves a review explaining what happened, and Jen responds with a BUNCH OF LIES. If only she texted us instead of the call I would've posted all the messages and exposed this liar. This lady all of a sudden tries to make herself seem like some angel who did nothing wrong. No one is perfect in this world and especially as a business owner you should be able to accept your mistakes and own up to them. The day of our actual wedding SHE WAS NOWHERE TO BE FOUND. All our guest arrived in a party bus and for the next hour she was nowhere to be found. She eventually walked up and just waved and disappeared again. Yet in her response she claims she made herself available to us immediately. Literally on our call she claims all our pictures will come out dumb due to the rain and we should change our date. Yet in her response she denies saying this. Here's the biggest lie of them all, Maravilla Garden was the first venue we saw in the Camarillo area, after that we visited Casi Cielo. THIS LADY CLAIMS, that she matched the price of Casi Cielo to help us and lowered her price by 30%. When in reality, she gave us her price before we even visited Casi Cielo!!!! She just sprinkled this in her response to make herself seem like such a nice vendor. BS! Instead of making up lies to come off like a good vendor, how about you actually do the work and help your clients!!!!! read more

Maravilla gardens website is beautifully put together. The photos really enhanced the venue and I was very excited to tour this place. Only to find out in person, it's not as dreamy as I thought it would be. Maybe it had something to do with the rushed tour and unwelcoming vibe we got from Jen. We felt as if we wasted her 30mins. So, if you are late 10 mins, you will only get 20mins of her time and she will remind you of that. My fiancé and I just didn't feel welcome and felt restricted. We were told how our wedding is supposed to be and no changes will be made or extra charges will incur. The tour we received felt like we were walking on egg shells. Not a feeling I want to have on my wedding day. Thank you Jen for making our decision easy on picking another venue. read more

Attended a lovely wedding here at Maravilla. The grounds are very nice with nice areas for the ceremony, cocktail reception, and dinner. The dance floor is a little small if you have a big group that wants to cut the rug (or cement in this case), but overall it is a good option for the majority of the year where we have nice enough weather for an al fresco event. The food was good, and the service was fine. I didn't get into the house, but it looks like there are facilities for the family to change/rest/prep. read more

I just attended the wedding of my great niece, Jen Lauderdale, now Burnell, at this venue. It was fantastic!! This is a belated review for Maravilla Gardens, but even a year later, we could not be more happy that we chose MG as our wedding venue! When we first visited Maravilla Gardens, we fell in love with the beautiful outdoor garden set up and the romantic, quaint feel to the venue. My husband and I both had busy schedules leading up to the wedding and were also planning the wedding long-distance. Jen was so experienced and amazing to help coordinate what we needed leading up to the big day. MG and Jen made it so easy to keep us on track! We also couldn't be more happy with Erin, our day-of-coordinator, who was also incredibly experienced and made us feel so much more calm on the big day despite having a large wedding party with many wedding guests. Although we got married in May, the completely unexpected happened and we ended up having rain on the day of! This was something that was only a lower possibility in the forecast in the days leading up to the wedding, so we didn't want to change plans to arrange for a tent. I was hopeful that it wouldn't rain because the morning was still looking OK, but the rain began to hit during the cocktail hour. Thankfully, MG was completely prepared and brought out numerous umbrellas for our guests to use. As we were running behind with all this (and my bustle was taking much longer than expected!), Jen and Erin completely revamped the schedule of our night so that we could get back on track. Even though I knew our timeline was changing, my guests had nothing but the most positive things to say about MG and said that they couldn't even tell as everything seemed to move along so smoothly. Additionally, their team was so helpful throughout the day - we had brought a lot of our own extra decorations and they helped set it up, clean it up, and pack everything for us to pick up the next day. I felt so reassured that I didn't have to worry about those extra details and they really helped make the process go smoothly for us and our families. Thanks to Jen and Erin and the MG team, our day still went beautifully despite the unexpected surprise! read more

We had our wedding here on June 17th 2022 and let me tell you, it was the best night of my life. To begin with, We started talking with Jen in 2020. Due to covid, we wanted to push our wedding date back and she was so flexible and easy to work with during those rough times. Between those two years, she was so accommodating to us. Even when we wanted to stop by the venue to show family, she never has a problem with that. Jen and Rob, (who also works there) are amazing people and really care about the venue. Mel-the day of wedding coordinator is just as amazing. She is so organized and easy to reach, she made sure everything was prepared and ready to go for the big day. The day of the wedding, she made sure everything stayed on time, always checked in, and kept the flow of the wedding running beautifully. I honestly can't say enough about her. My fiancé and I truly appreciate her help. The day of the wedding, everything went very smoothly. The team there really works hard. From catering to security, every single person was just so pleasant. Our family and friends have been raving about the wedding this whole weekend. Thank you Maravilla Gardens for everything!! In addition, Keith Erickson was our DJ and he was awesome! Kept the crowd dancing the whole night! We love you Keith! read more

I had the pleasure of Dj'ing a wedding on Sunday May 21st, 2018 at Maravilla Gardens. It was my first time at this venue. Since the beginning, Jen and Erin (Manager and Planner) were very responsive with emails and information. I was already pleased with the communication. Then I set foot on the property, and I was very surprised... this venue is GORGEOUS. They have three separate but adjacent spaces, Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, and Dinner/Dancing. All three spaces are designed well, beautiful backdrops in all three. The details from the planner and the hospitality from the manager on the day of the wedding are worth mentioning. They were impeccable. This is a hidden gem in my opinion. I would recommend this venue to anyone. I hope to work there again soon. read more

We can't say enough about Maravilla Gardens. The grounds are sooo beautiful that our guests couldn't stop raving. The whole day was dreamy with the lush grass, blooming flowers, and gorgeous views. But more than that, the staff is wonderful. Jen and Rob clearly love what they do and are incredibly good at it. We worked with Erin as our coordinator for the day of and had a wonderful experience. She's so detail oriented and organized, making everything so easy. The team really brought our vision to life and we'll forever be grateful. read more

The person we met, this was last year and I still rember it, she made me and my now husband feel super uncomfortable. Would not allow an ethnic DJ. Just gave the vibes that she didn't want to rent us her venue because I wasn't white. If you see weddings there are only white and Asians. read more

Weddings are pretty much one of the greatest things to witness when you know that the crazy kids committing themselves to each other for the rest of their lives are gonna make it. And this is coming from someone who is somewhat cynical about marriage. It's a long story that I won't get into. Maybe some day over some drinks =) Anyway, 2 of my dear friends got married Saturday and they chose this place for the ceremony and reception. It was absolutely amazing. Pretty much the best wedding I've ever been to. Located pretty much in the middle of nowhere, this garden was perfect. Easy to get to and easy parking. My only complaint was the dirt paths but that's because I was in heels and dusty feet are so Stone Age. But it's a garden, what are you gonna do? It's family owned and operated and basically a family lives here and rents their garden and backyard out for weddings. Very sweet hosts. There's a small grassy area where the bar's temporary location was following the reception. The dirt path leading to the backyard has some gorgeous flowers and the backyard was incredible. I'm guessing no more than 100 guests, all fit perfectly in the backyard. The dancefloor was just the right size as well. I didn't get a chance to ask if the catering company came with the location, but I'm assuming not. (Catering company gets 5 stars too! Too bad I don't remember their name, wa wa). If anyone ever asks me for suggestions on a wedding location (I get those questions ALL the time - yeah right!), this is what I'm giving them. But only if I think they'll actually make it. Or, I may have to reconsider my position on marriage just for the chance to get married here ;) read more

Lovely lovely spot for a wedding. The gardens are beautiful, the view of the valleys is spectacular. Downsides: 1) In 100 degree heat, it ain't no good to have no shade for the bride and groom as they are saying their vows. 2) The hike from the dinner/dancing area to the bathrooms is uphill all the way and when you've downed a few REd Stripes, it's a bit treacherous. Other than that this is picturesque and quite accomodating area to have a wedding. read more

I almost had my wedding at Maravilla Gardens. If the date I wanted had opened up, I would be having my wedding here but unfortunately there's a long story behind why I didn't get the date I wanted and it would just really affect my review so I'll move on. Maravilla Gardens is a former nursery owned by a woman named Jo. She and her husband bought the dying nursery years ago and turned it into a wedding venue a few years ago. Let's start with the place: The entrance is a little easy to miss. A small sign announcing "Maravilla Gardens" leads you down a dirt path into a paved cement parking lot. A dirt lot "below" this parking lot holds more cars. All in all, I think the lot holds around 75 cars. Facing away from the parking, you will see a largish garden overgrown with flowers and potted plants. A small trailer is Jo's office. If you follow the adorable wooden signs, you'll be led toward the ceremony site. The site is surrounded on three sides by high hedges. Right before you walk into the site, a small "golf green" complete with hole, club and ball make for a cute stop. The actual lawn is absolutely beautiful (and symmetrical). A large platform and well-manicured lawn are where you'll get married. On hot days, you can rent a lovely white overhang that Maravilla will set up. Once you leave the site, again following a path and cute wooden signs, you're led to the cocktail area. This is one thing I LOVED about Maravilla: there are private spaces for each of your events from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception and the paths that lead you to each one are lined with flowering plants and such. The cocktail area is a broad lawn facing a large farm plot that was growing cilantro when I visited. The smell isn't too strong and Jo says that the farmer is always very congenial and nice about removing tractors or portable toilets on the day of your wedding. Large umbrellas provide shade for your guests and there are restrooms toward one side as well as an area for smokers. Facing the farm, to your right will be a wall with shutters set inside it. The wall separates the reception area from the cocktail area and doors keep the former private until you're ready to have everyone head down a few stairs to the reception area. The shutters open to allow a bartender to serve drinks. The reception area is also so nice! I am not doing this place justice and the photographs I added are a little washed out (I used my phone) but I hope you're getting the right idea! It's a level below the cocktail area and also below Jo's home. You can string market lights for extra charge and there's a humongous bird cage where people usually place the cake or gifts. It's not as tacky as it sounds. On a tangent, Jo will have two doves in a small birdcage at the entrance of the ceremony site. A nice touch. Moving on to the bridal room: This is a medium-sized room set off to the side, next to Jo's house. It's very private. A sofa, one huge mirror and three smaller ones fill the room and there's also a private bathroom that's modern and clean. The light isn't ideal, I felt (I wanted more natural sunlight and its very privacy makes the light less available) but it's by no means a sunless cell. The groom's party will get ready in a separate trailer next to Jo's trailer office. It's very uninspiring with a small fridge, a small mirror and a couch, I believe. As for Jo, she is so fabulous. She was really easy to talk to and very accessible by e-mail. She tried very hard to help us get the wedding date we wanted and when she was unable to deliver, sent my fiance and myself a sweet e-mail. The price is also really reasonable. The quotes ran from $17,974.75-$22,270.92 for 150 guests on a Saturday (including food and a lot of extras like market lights and a shade canopy). Catering is provided through a company that Jo works regularly with so I can't say much about the food (but it looks like there are other reviews where people actually went with Maravilla). read more

Where do I even begin?! Maravilla Gardens made my wedding incredible. The venue itself is absolutely stunning. My first walk through, I was reminded of Disneyland: the perfectly manicured flower beds, the cobblestone pathways, the attention to detail in design. If you are looking for romantic, whimsical, garden wedding, look no further. Next was the staff, Jen made planning a wedding on your own completely possible. She provided everything: checklists, to dos, vendor details, catering details, rentals, site coordination. She was friendly and extremely helpful. Her response time for emails and questions was literally minutes. She was so accessible. Erin the site coordinator was a dream. Her suggestions were pointed and smart. She completely put my mind at ease before and day of. Any little bump in the road was quickly and efficiently smoothed over by her. Our wedding day was easy breezy, and that was due to the hard work of Erin and staff. Robert with CPC (Command Performance Catering) was also incredible. He answered questions quickly, was incredibly accessible, and the food and service were perfection. Overall, you know you've had a successful wedding when your guests tell you it's the best wedding they've ever been to. That is exactly the feedback we got. Thank you Maravilla Gardens, you were amazing! read more

Where do I start with how amazing Maravilla is! I truly don't have one bad thing to say. My husband and I got married here June 3rd and it was by far the BEST DAY EVER! The venue itself is breath taking! It's literally a piece of heaven that you would never know existed. The flowers, the birds, the trees, the view... the list can go on and on. Every single one of our guests compliment it to this day. Jen- she is by far the most organized person. She knows what works and it's a blessing to have had walked through this experience with her. She saved us so much time and truly made our lives so much easier. Trust in her and know she doesn't hold back any details or information. She's so honest and makes things so easy with her base camp information and communication site. Erin- talk about a wedding coordinator of every brides dreams.. she is soo welcoming and from the first day I met her, I felt like I had known her for years. She made my month prior and day of so smooth and amazing. She is the calm every bride dreams of. And not to mention she is amazingly creative. I brought 2 cars filled with stuff and she made EVERYTHING look amazing. Rob- He helped us unpack 2 cars filled and labeled and organized it all! He is the nicest guy and always working so hard. Everyday I was at Maravilla, he was hard at work. Command/ Robert- the most organized company! They don't miss anything. The food is amazing and I was told by soo many guests that It was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. Robert made my life sooo easy. He is very responsive and truly helped me with every detail, even the ones I forgot to tell him about. Thank you to the most amazing dream team and venue for the best day of my life! Came here for a my cousin's wedding and it couldn't have been on a more perfect day. The weather was in the nice spring time 70 degree weather and a lot of the flowers and foliage were in bloom. The garden might be a bit too easy to miss, if you're not looking at the right place. Up front sits an old picturesque barn and small garden. I can see why this is a popular spots to hold weddings as there's plenty of space to have a good size wedding while still having a close intimate feeling. It seems as if this place was built around with the idea of hosting weddings. The location can be compartmentalized into 3 locations, the ceremony area, cocktail/waiting area, and reception area all within short walking distance from each other. But be warned if you are wearing really high heels, this place is on a downhill slope on stone walk ways. read more

The moment we walked onto the property we knew this was where we needed to get married. They were easy and amazing to work with. They are professional and organized that it made the planning process easy. They have all their own rentals and work with the caterer directly. It was overall a wonderful experience having our wedding there. We will recommend Maravilla Gardens to everyone we know. Everyone commented on how awesome the venue was. Working with Erin (Our coordinator) was also absolutely wonderful. It was truly the best day of our lives getting married there. read more

I haven't even visited Maravilla Gardens and I was trying to coordinate a tour with Jen. She was not very helpful and extremely rude. This is a special time for me and I don't think I'd like to work with someone who complains about doing tours "200+ times" and are tired of repeating yourself. This is my first time doing this and I would love to work with someone who is excited to share their venue with me. Thanks for helping us narrow down to only venues that really want to be a part of my amazing day. read more

What a wonderful location for a wedding! This place is so picturesque! My lovely friends were wed here a couple of weeks ago. The layout of the place is perfect for wedding ceremonies with cocktail & receptions. When you first arrive, there's a short walk to the ceremony location which is surrounded with tall trees & flower bushes so it is very intimate. There is a path down the hill to the cocktail area that is pretty steep so be careful in those heels. It is separated from the reception area which is grassy and natural with a walkway around the perimeter. Make sure you go to the restroom before heading down the path as the restrooms are at the top of the hill from everything else. It can be a hike in heels. The onsite caterer was fabulous. Cocktail hour included hors d' oeuvres and signature his & her drinks. The dinner was buffet style with chicken and prime rib as main dishes, beet salad, mac n cheese, and goodies were all very delicious and presented very elegantly. The best part was the mini desserts table! The experience here is great except, however, the parking area it can get very sandy, I kept getting pebbles in my shoes and were hard to walk in. read more

I had my wedding here about a month ago and we really fell in love with he venue. The grounds are kept very well and the place is gorgeous! We were so excited about the general feel of the venue. Our wedding was beautiful and went off without a hitch. The staff is very professional and helpful. We were very happy with how our day turned out. The caterer they always use is outstanding and they recommend certain DJs that are excellent. A few things to note about this venue: 1. They charged us for a few things on the back end that shouldn't have been charged. They did not communicate expectations well and took it out of our deposit. 2. The coordinators get a little overwhelmed if you bring a lot of decor and DIY crafts to be set out. Be sure to communicate what you want from them and provide helpers! 3. They do not offer a discount on the per person cost if you are doubling their minimums. Most venues we looked at did this, but they did not. 4. The hike between the reception area to decent bathrooms is considerable. The bathrooms down by the reception are porta-potties. We truly had a great wedding but there are some negatives to this place. read more

It is evident from the moment I stepped on this property how much love has gone into creating an absolutely beautiful venue. It is private, lovely, and so well maintained. I've been very picky about bathrooms as I believe guests should be well taken care of, and they are spotless here. Additionally, Jen is so professional, helpful, and has amazing follow up. I had specific questions about my wedding as we wanted to work with specific vendors and caterers. She went out of her way to show us potential budgets, and she made sure all our questions were answered. Had we decided to have our wedding in Camarillo, it absolutely would have been held here. A true gem. read more

The venue was nice enough/ and since it never Rains there from April till October, but if it does rain there are no provision's for it. Since it Rained several inches July 18/ the beautiful Venue was no longer so nice; it became a disaster for what the Bride & Groom had envisioned. read more
