We had our dream wedding at Rancho De Las Palmas August 2023. Laura was super easy to work with and understood our vision from the start. She was very reassuring since we live 6 hours away in SF and made sure everything we wanted was taken care of. If you want a day-of coordinator, you can hire Laura to take care of all the important details on your big day. We also had our rehearsal dinner here (you can pay extra) to rent out the house on the premises or you could just rent out the huge outdoor area in the back of the house. Table and chairs are included with the rental fee. We decided to go with DJ's catering that Laura recommended and they took great care of the catering + drinks part. That is another business I'd highly recommend. Laura has a pay-it-forward program where you can donate one item from your wedding decor and you get free access to the entire room of decor such as signs, card boxes, table numbers, bar signage, vases,etc to use for your wedding which we made great use of. Our ceremony took place in the front grassy area and the reception dinner in the cobblestone area. Our guests couldn't stop raving about how nice everything was afterwards. We had no hiccups or issues on the day of the wedding, the weather was in the low 80s and by the time dinner came around, it was perfect temperatures. The venue offers plenty of greenery and shade even on a hot day. There is also plenty of parking spaces for guests and areas for guests to roam around the venue during cocktail hour. As a wedding venue, RANCHO DE LAS PALMAS is great. As a guest, there is a large parking lot and it's free and not valet. It is also close to the front entrance. There are multiple spaces that can be used. Indoor and outdoor dining areas available. Pond with ducks and geese. Lots of paths to walk around in to kill time. I see that there is a residence in the premises. If this is available for the bridal party to use to get ready, this facility is even better than I thought. Food was pretty good too. read more

My HUSBAND and I just got married here :) AMAZING venue! They are really full service - helped us find all of our vendors (even a live painter) had day of coordinator, the venue is so stunning we didn't even need florals which alone saved us thousands, it was an absolute dream come true! Huge shoutout to Laura, she really helped us every step of the way to make our dream wedding reality. Not to mention... they have a "Pay it forward" room. This room is fulllll of decor, signs, games ect that you might need for your big day. We were able to use the number table signs, candles, ring security box, flower girl basket and more. We cannot say enough good things about having our wedding at Rancho De Las Palmas. We just got married in June and the grounds were flourishing and looked beautiful. We loved all the different areas for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Laura and the team were wonderful to work with too. My daughter's wedding at Rancho de las Palmas was amazing from beginning to end! Laura was so helpful and available any time we had questions. She was very hands on and worked with every vision my daughter had. She also gave great recommendation for the florist-they were amazing and so reasonable priced! We used the house rental for the wedding party both the night before and after the wedding which was a huge help. It was nice for them all to be together the night before, after the rehearsal dinner -which we had there too. They were able to get ready and relax all in one place-and not have to worry about timing or traffic since they were already at the location. I highly recommend the house rental! We used every part of the Rancho--the boys got ready in the house, the girls got ready (hair and makeup) in the bridal suite at the venue. Then did pics and got dressed in the master bedroom of the house. The wedding was on the large patio with a tent (as it had been raining the day before and morning of)-the cocktail hour was outside in the area around the water with plenty of room for everyone. And the dinner reception was inside. The food was amazing. Everyone we knew said it was the best wedding food they'd ever had-loved the catering service and they were so great to deal with as well. The house DJ was so awesome-once the dancing started the dance floor was full until the end of the wedding. All in all it was an amazing day. My husband and I got married here 6/5/2022 and we are SO grateful we did! We had a Polynesian/Hawaiian themed wedding and this venue is perfect for a destination getaway feeling without the price tag! - Many guests commented how beautiful it was and said it was one of the most beautiful venues they've ever been to - They let you pick your own vendors which was a huge selling point for us. The only exception is the catering must be offered by DJs catering but they were excellent! - When comparing with similar venues (I looked at at least 20) in the area this was actually one of the more affordable locations! Take it from a bride on a budget with champagne taste! - There wasn't a ton of upgrades like other wedding venues made you choose in order to get "the look". Highly recommend paying for Laura's wedding day service and Joan to help as well (vendor list). Both are great and affordable. The best part is Laura, the coordinator, had a room full of goodies to use which saved us tons (table numbers, table and other wedding decor, welcome signs, card box, etc.). - One of the most important things you can have on your wedding day is great support. Laura, Joan, and the whole staff was very on point! They met with me several times before the day, offered a 2 week walk through (other venues don't always offer this), answered any questions I had, and celebrated with us! Laura and I still talk to this day she is so awesome. Also highly recommend Aaron Watene for singer/DJ, Monica Duny Photography, Jenkins Wedding Photography, and Sweet Escake Desserts (Josel). No words will ever be enough to describe how absolutely beautiful this venue is, simply Stunning! We fell in love with it as soon as We walked it. I was lucky enough to have my wedding here 9/1/19 and my guests are still talking about it. I can honestly say I had a magical wedding not to mention STRESS free thanks to Laura. She was our coordinator for the day, best decision we've made she was beyond amazing. No hiccups and if there was I was not aware which was perfect. The venue made my photos beyond perfect. The bridal suite is beautiful, perfect set up with mirrors and lighting for your makeup & hair stylist! Beautiful venue and facilities. The coordinator Laura was not only completely unorganized during the rehearsal AND wedding day as well as unclear about the brides request for the day of. She did not assist in getting the people seated or the wedding started on time. She did not place the aisle runner that was requested until requested by the bride. She was no where to be found for most of the day with any questions. And she was rude to multiple family members AND the bridal party but the day after she "accidentally" text the bride that she "couldn't believe her" and "it must have been her bitchy bridesmaid" so while it was a gorgeous venue and wedding the bridal party should not have to fight for respect OR fight to have the day go exactly as the bride wants. Beautiful venues can be found many places, but customer service affects your big day much more. Laura is in the wrong industry as she seems miserable at her job and she is bashing a bridal party who has only one goal of keeping the bride happy read more

This venue is absolutely beautiful, we chose November. The white drapery lit gazebo for the reception was exactly what I was looking for. You have several options here for where you want the ceremony to take place and plenty of photo backgrounds selections (which I didn't take advantage of, I highly recommend telling your photographerto to do this). They have a bridal room and private bridal bathroom which helps the night of when you want your privacy! The best part about this venue is the coordinator Laura. She knows this venue and knows how to make your day seamless, she thinks of it all. Absolutely the Best!!!! As we began looking for a wedding venue for our daughter, amid the covid pandemic, our thought was to find an outdoor space. Wow, were we blessed to find Rancho! Everything about this venue was perfectly situated for a great wedding! The grounds were beautifully manicured, and we actually heard our guest using the word "magical". The common statement was "how did you find this incredible space". The best thing we did was to hire the Day of event Coordinator, Laura! She is a MUST HAVE!! She will provide you with all the best names for caterers, flowers, etc, and is truly so talented at what she does! We would have been lost without her! Use the house DJ, Gary, as he is great at what he does, gets the crowd up and dancing, and keeps the event flowing perfectly. He can provide you with a great photo booth if you like. Rancho has just added housing on the property, that you can rent. We took advantage of this, which worked wonders for our out of town guest. I got a lot of quotes when I was looking around and this venue was one of the more reasonable ones which is why we went to check it out in person. If you do book your wedding here, do yourself a favor and hire Laura as your coordinator. She took care of everything for me and she has a great team working with her. She resolved any issues that came up on our day and made it perfect for us. The pay it forward room is a wonderful option they have and has beautiful decor to use for the day. Their bridal suite is extremely useful to have for getting ready. The food is DJ's catering which was sooo delicious and was presented wonderfully. They came a few times during dinner to check and make sure we were happy with everything. I also highly recommend sticking with DJ Gary for your wedding. A wedding venue like no other! Well, not entirely. This wedding venue actually reminded me a lot of my other friends' wedding. It's kind of in the middle of nowhere, you drive up to it and you think, "Man this is a desolate area" and then you walk in and you enter a secluded venue with rich vegetation and water features that make you forget where you are! Ambiance: As mentioned above, the ambiance is pretty dang nice. There's a lot of bridges and water fountains to take great pictures. The ceremony area's nice and covered with nice structures, and as also mentioned before, you completely forget you're in the middle of a valley. It's just a pleasant area to be in! Staff: The service was decent. The food was served buffet style and they were very attentive and accommodating. One drawback was that they ran out of hot water and people were standing around for a while waiting for it. Not a major minus but still a minus. Another thing that caught me off guard was people cleaning while the event was going on. It wasn't in the background either. There were people cleaning tables and glass with (pretty potent smelling) cleaner juts behind the ceremony area. Also not a major minus, but still a minus. Food: The food was decent. Not overwhelmingly great nor overwhelmingly disappointing. Parking: Ample parking in the front! What more can you ask for? The guests don't have to worry about street parking or walking in the dirt in their dresses/suits. It's a pleasant experience. Facilities: This is where this place is not lacking, but it doesn't shine either. The bathrooms are port-a-potties. Not the crappy ones you see that are made out of plastic. No, they were the super nice trailer type ones with hot water, electricity, and full on stalls. You almost forget that it's a port-a-potty until someone leaves the door open to a stall. It gets a LITTLE smelly. The bathrooms were really nothing bad just something to note. Not a full on bathroom but certainly not lacking. The dining area is where I'd have my biggest gripe. Again, not that it was bad, it's just not amazingly great. If you are planning on having your wedding on a winter night, be sure that have your guests bring a coat. The venue had a huge heater pointed at the middle of the room and it was in front of the VIP guest table, but those who were off to the side were, unfortunately not benefiting from the heater. Our area had no cover which also means if it was raining, we'd have issues. The Dining area was a circular-esque area with a cover (just not over our table) and a dance floor in the middle Honestly a quite beautiful area, just a little cold. So there you have it, Everything here is just okay. Nothing stood out but nothing was bad. Would I host something here? Heck yeah I would. TL:DR - A-OK does it justice for all facets. read more

We were planning to see and hear a whole lot about Jesus during this wedding. So, we brought flasks. Ever played the game "take a shot when the pastor says Jesus or God"? No? Then I better trademark that shit fast before it starts spreading round the country because God (take a shot) knows we need our drinks while watching our Jesus (take a shot) loving friends walk down the aisle at too early of an age. Elegant, tasteful, and well designed. The dance floor and tables area was laid out perfectly (except for those poor people who had to sit outside in the back) and the bridge across the water was a nice touch. If you're looking for a unique, down to earth, California picturesque beautiful venue for any special occasion then definitely pay Club Rancho De Las Palmas a visit. I attended a wedding here recently and it was so beautiful. It feels like you're in San Louis Obispo with its laid back charming vibes. There are beautiful hand made art pieces everywhere from giant water fountains and crystal planters. Very hippie chic. There's plenty of parking and plenty of indoor and outdoor area. The outdoor area has a pond with turtles and ducks. It's very romantic. The staff was so nice too which is always a huge plus to the experience. The dining area was nicely lit and the ambiance was spot on, the only downside is that there was no air conditioning, only giant movie set fans blowing like the wind. Tips: The wedding was held in the summer, it gets really really hot and a little humid here, comparable to Hawaii but with no breeze.. I imagine the weather would be perfect in Fall, Winter or Spring. Also, ladies, wear wedges, my stilettos kept getting stuck on the wood deck and there's are beautiful custom designs on the floor throughout the venue which my heels also caught on. read more

Dedicated bar and photo booth area made it very unique and very spacious for event attendees to mill around. The ceremonial area was tucked into the corner so that it was easy to conduct crowd control. Wedding parties had air conditioned room to do make up. Groom men could lounge around beyond the bridge and pond to have pre wedding party of their own. Recommended food service was very delicious. The rest room may be a bit crowded but very clean. If you want the wedding event to go smoothly, hire Laura, the event coordinator. We got so many compliments on the venue, the ambiance and the service from both friends and family. Beautiful remote-feeling location, but with the convenience of near a highway exit (easy to find). As a wedding coordinator, when I first heard their tagline "Somewhere paradise still exits" I thought it was totally corny. Then, I went there and realize how perfectly it fits. Rancho De Las Palmas has an easy-to-find location, while still being private and secluded. Because of the beautiful garden and scenery, brides and grooms can save a bit on decorations. They have several areas suited for a ceremony and a large gazebo for the reception - perfect back up plan in case it ever rains. There's plenty of parking, a bridal ready-room, and even some storage if you want to leave things the night before. Their staff are incredibly helpful and truly go above and beyond the call of duty. They are very easy to work with and will accommodate almost any schedule. The preferred caterer is one of the best in Ventura County and is both professional and tasty, which is hard to come by. Rancho De Las Palmas has been around for awhile too, so they have great connections in the area including local hotels who provide shuttle services. There are water fountains everywhere, creating a serene water trickling sound and all the areas where the guests hang out are amazing (Groom Island in the middle of the lake is definitely a favorite place to be). We had Laura (the owner) be our day of coordinator and she did an amazing job. She was able to decorate and organize everything, herded the guests, gave us the cue to walk down the aisle... everything. She did cost $500 but it was worth it. The place was $1500 to rent on a Friday (Saturdays and Sundays are much more), which is a really good price, but you also have to use their caterer. The catering service was cheaper than a lot of other wedding catering services and the food was delicious, so it wasn't a loss. read more

This venue had everything we were looking for! It's a beautiful location with views of the surrounding hills, farms and sunset. The ceremony and reception can be held here with 2 options for a ceremony location. Parking is abundant and everything is flat and wheel chair accessible. The bridal suite is spacious with a mini fridge and great AC. It also locks so during the wedding all of my bridesmaids could leave their belongings with no stress. There is also a large private restroom with a code provided for the bride and a hangar for the dress. My bridal party and I were able to arrive at 8 am to start getting ready and when the groomsmen arrived they hung out on "grooms island" prior to starting photos. It's a covered patio that reaches out into the on site pond with plenty of shade, seating and a foosball table. There is also a playground available with child care provided for an additional cost. Everything about the venue was spot on. It has a beautiful tropical paradise vibe with tons of flowers and greenery and immaculate landscaping. There was plenty of shade, pretty little sitting areas for the guests and umbrellas available for the ceremony space. I was a little worried about the covered reception area getting hot in the evening but it was perfect! We worked with Laura Schnieder from our first tour of the venue to the wedding. She is phenomenal! She responds promptly and answered all of my questions with patience and detail. We weren't sure about hiring a day of coordinator but Laura offers it for a very reasonable price. Added bonus- having her do day of coordination allows participation in her sharing program where you can use anything from her room full of decor and donate one item from your wedding to her collection. EVERYTHING you can imagine wanting for your wedding is there! Any signage you have seen on Pinterest, head table decor, entrance table pieces, easels, ceremony aisle decor, you name it...she has it. It saved me SO much money. Not to mention she sets everything up and did an incredible job! It really added that extra touch to our wedding an the guests loved it.
