UPDATE Hi tommy since you would rather respond to my yelp review instead of my husbands email regarding YOU providing physical PROOF of the "extensive mess" we caused. surely if it was "so extensive" you would of photgraphged this mess correct?..i will upload the photos my planner took prior to the ceremomy and the text msgs i had with my wedding coordinator who made sure the cottage was clean. we didnt eat, nor apply any makeup in the cotttage, in fact i was the ONLY person who put their dress on in the cottage (for photos). again in order to accuse someone of damages you need to PROVIDE PROOF of the damages!.. secondly knowhere on the contract does it say the last call is at 9:15. i will upload a screen shot of my contract that says 'beverage service will end no later than 9:30" i also have an email from cheryl saying last call is at 9:30pm then why were you announcing last call at 9:15pm? my contract also states that guest are to leave by 11pm. then why was your staff removing tables and chairs at 10pm!?!? asking my guests to get up so they can remove the tables!? you do realize all of this is a BREACH OF CONTRACT right? i also find it extremly disheartning that you partially responded to my yelp review. i would love to hear your response about how your on site manager tony failed to help us with the large puddle of water that i had to stand in for the entire ceremony. since we got charged for the "extensive mess" in the bridal cottage shall we expect you to pay for the cleaning i had to pay for to get the literal MUD removed from my dress and heels due to your staff over watering the grass hours before my ceremony was to start?, what about you breaching our contract that i stated above?, regarding the DJ mess, my DJ went to tony multiple times to explain that the speakers were muffled even on low sound to songs with alot of bass. Tommy, if you cannot provide proof of the damages we will continue to dispute the charges and seek legal action if this cannot be resolved especially since our contract was breached on many accounts. please email us PROOF of the "extensive mess" we caused and we will have no problem in paying. We had our wedding in late August 2018 at Brookview, and the quick review is that the day was MAGICAL. We loved the venue and Brookview team! If I could give 6 out of 5 stars, I would. We leave the venue with a very positive experience. The venue itself is beautiful, nestled in the Agoura Mountains, with one level of the vast green lawn for the ceremony (tucked under beautiful big trees & twinkle lights), and then above the ceremony on another vast green lawn is the reception. For us, the venue was the perfect solution because they already handled many elements (wooden dance floor, twinkle lights, built in bar, built in speakers at reception, real bathrooms), so we didn't feel like we needed to do "as much" DYI as other locations required. But, we were still able to make it our own and very personalized. Another benefit of Brookview is that you can get access early in the morning (9AM) for the bridal party to do hair & make up (not all California venues allow this, surprisingly). Working with Cheryl (for the year leading up to the wedding) was so easy and pleasant. She was gracious the entire time, and she was kind enough to allow us to tour the venue a few times with our out-of-state parents, as well as our coordinators. So, we felt that we had a very good understanding of the space, process, etc. The team was very responsive to emails throughout, and ultimately hired someone while we were planning (named Priscilla, she's great!) to oversee the day-to-day, layouts, logistics, etc. That immensely helped as we got closer to the big day. Another great offer that Brookview has is a large golf cart for grandparents and the wedding party, driving us to/from the bridal suite and groomsmen cottage for our "first look", ceremony, family photos, etc. The golf cart also drives the couple up to the "look out point" above all the other mountain peaks for fabulous photos with your photographer. This is a must-do... Truly stunning. The bridal suite is gorgeous (whites, grays, and pinks) with great lighting for hair and make up. We spent the entire day there listening to music and getting ready. It was very spacious and was a great home base for us. Same for the groomsmen's cottage. Writing an honest review of course comes with some critiques, but they are minor. More so, I write this to help Brookview continue to be the great venue that they are! - Grass at ceremony: The spot where the bride/groom stand was newly planted with grass sod, and you could see the seems from the pieces of sod, so it didn't look like clean, beautiful grass. It was also a bit muddy, so we asked them to stop watering it while we were doing our rehearsal the day before. This should be resolved if they take care of the new grass, so hopefully this was just a 2018 problem. -Clean Up: The venue requires that all personal belongings be cleared out of the suites before the ceremony. It would be less stressful on the coordinators if we had until the end of the night to have that space cleared out (or even the next morning). We just had to be very on-top of this, when there was a lot more going on that felt more important, such as getting the ceremony/reception ready. -Attention to detail with emails: There were moments throughout the planning process where mistakes were made in rental orders, what was included in our package, etc. So, we had to be very careful in checking the work to be sure everything was correct. Brookview Faced a tragedy but handled it with grace and professionalism. Our wedding was supposed to be March 23, 2019 at Brookview Ranch but a few weeks before Christmas the Woolsey Fires hit and we were notified that they would have to cancel our date. Of course I was absolutely devastated because as a bride thats the last thing you want to here. Even though we couldn't have our wedding here Cheryl was SO SO HELPFUL in giving me a list of venues in the area with open dates and prices matching our budget! It was panic for a day but 24 hours later my now husband and I were secured with several venue tours. They also gave us ALL of our money back in FULL in such a timely manner! We are so grateful to have work with Brookview for the short time that we did. The grounds are beautiful, Cheryl is a DOLL! And i am certain everything would have been absolutely stunning. I would definitely recommend Brookview for your wedding or event. read more

My wife and I got married at Brookview last May, and it was such wonderful experience. We had a shorter engagement period, but still, everyone at Brookview was so accommodating. Everything from the catering, to the gorgeous views, and incredibly kind and helpful staff made our day so magical. The guests I've talked to especially enjoyed the food and beautiful surroundings. The location has lots of pretty olive trees and a gorgeous hilltop for photos (I added one of the shots we got). My wife really enjoyed the brides cottage, and she was very grateful for its size, as we each had 11 person wedding parties. Overall, we had a really special time that day, and had 0 problems with anything at the venue. Everyone working at the venue was so inviting and helpful. It can be so hard to find a great outdoor venue in the LA area that checks all of the boxes (beautiful views, great catering, helpful and friendly staff), but Brookview checked all of those boxes and more. read more

I've been a guest at multiple weddings at Brookview Ranch, including being in the wedding party at one and it's wonderful. The venue is amazingly pretty and my friends (the brides) raved about how easy the process was booking with them. I saw another review that said tables were cramped, but I helped my friend with the layouts of the ceremony and reception, and the seating arrangements (tables/how many people are at each table) are completely up to the bride, so obviously not the venue's fault. Also, the dance floor is permanent concrete so I'm not sure what that reviewer meant by saying it's unstable? Maybe they were confused. Overall just a really great place to get married, all three brides highly recommended it - if I wasn't married already, from talking to my friends who got married there, I would 100% choose Brookview. read more

This was my first time as a guest to this venue for a wedding. The location is lovely and I just have a few comments that would make the experience more enjoyable. Provide more shade for the guests during the wedding ceremony. Do not cram a lot of guests at the tables. My fellow table mates and I commented on how we felt crammed in like sardines. Several people had to back their seat up and eat off of their laps. As the last table to go up to the buffet, I found that the food was cold. The thin slice of chicken was dry and the vegetables were over cooked. If you are a prospective client make sure these things do not happen to you and your guests. read more

I wish I could give Brookview 10 STARS!!! My husband I got married in 2016 and it was the most magical day thanks to Brookview! First all the location was STUNNING and even in high heat, the shade of the trees and cool breeze made it so dreamy under the oaks. The staff were more accommodating and helpful then even my own outside wedding planner! They treated me with respect and attended to my family and I with such care and professionalism. The bridal suite was amazing and was so fun to be in. The string lights under the stars on that warm night are an image that will stay with me forever! The dance floor was full the whole night with everyone having the best time. Brookview made the most important day of our lives more perfect than I could have imagined. My niece had an amazing wedding here! It was the last weekend in July so temperatures were 105? HOT Hot! The lower grass area for the ceremony was nothing but a large area of grass. Not even an arch for the ceremony. We had to bring our own! The upper level for the reception was the best. From the horse stable setting to the tables, dance floor, wedding cake/dessert was perfect. Keep in mind there are no immediate neighbors BUT they have a nose restriction by 9pm? Seriously luckily the wedding party thought of everything and hired a DJ with silent headphones . Our son's wedding was suppose to be at Brookview ranch on May 11, 2019. Due to the Woolsey fire, all weddings were cancelled. The only good thing to come of this is we found a better venue, with people who cared about our bride and groom. The management team/owners at Brookview Ranch were difficult to work with after our wedding was cancelled. They did not refund all of the money we paid in, For ten months. They did not refund all of our deposit, as stated in their contract. They were difficult in emails. Never responding to our concerns. We called the company that does their books and they told us that Brookview could not charge us a fee, nor could they keep the fee. There are so many beautiful venues in our area to pick from. In January 2019, we had to find a new venue, pay new deposits and loose 4% of what we paid into Brookview. Weddings are expensive and emotional enough without having your original venue treat you poorly, Keep some of your money and basically tell you too bad............. We do not recommend this venue. read more

Recently had my sons wedding at this venue. Was a beautiful location, but wanted to say, how unhappy we were with a few things. First, their policy of having to vacate the Bridal & Groom Suites before the ceremony is ridiculous. Everyone was dressed in their wedding attire & we were expected to empty these rooms of everything we had in there before the ceremony. So we were so stressed & upset right before the ceremony. Then, the speakers for the DJ, were so terrible, you couldn't even hear the music on the dance floor. Also the dance floor was terrible! A safety hazard! It was very bumpy & falling apart at the edges. People were falling down while trying to dance on this very uneven floor. On the plus side, It was a very beautiful outdoor venue with plenty of parking. The Bridal Suite was nice & spacious. Every wedding has good parts & bad, but I hope they will fix the items I talked about. Still was a beautiful & memorable wedding. read more

We are over-the-moon with our daughter and son-in-law's stunning wedding celebration under the stars at Brookview Ranch! The memories of our special day could not be sweeter! From the moment we drove through the grand gates leading past the lovely shaded ceremony area, on up to the Bride's cottage we knew we were in for a very special day and night of celebration! The Brides cottage became where we carved out all of the pre-wedding memories where the girls were transformed. It is beautifully decorated yet comfortable. It felt like a lovely home for us to get ready in. We loved having space and several places within the cottage to spread out. It was better than getting ready at a hotel because we were on site which made the energy of the day feel very festive! The Bride's Cottage was so lovely we ended up shooting many of the bridal party photos there. The Grooms area was very cool and rustic which provided amazing pictures for the guys! The First Look on the hilltop established a special tone for the celebration and gorgeous pictures of the couple!!! The ceremony site was elegant with the backdrop of the serene rolling hills and greenery. It was so nice taking pictures following the ceremony with the appetizer/ cocktail hour unfolding there. Dinner in the upper ranch site was amazing! The staff carried out our wishes and we found ourselves able to enjoy what we envisioned without worries. The flow of the day and evening felt so peaceful from start to finish! One of the best things we realized is that the ranch became our wedding home for the day and evening! Can't help but smile and recall this special occasion now as we travel to the beach on Kanan Road and remember this amazing day of celebration at Brookview Ranch. read more
