Baby area

We had the best time at Reign & Shine. Everything was super clean and well organized, you can tell they really care about the space. I also loved the no shoes policy, it made me feel so much better about my toddler crawling and playing freely. They truly have everything you need already there, which makes the whole visit easy and stress free. The layout is thoughtful too, there is a comfortable couch area for parents, a dedicated baby section, and having a bathroom right there is a huge win. The pretend play area is amazing, so many fun options and it kept my toddler engaged the entire time. The indoor ball pit was a favorite, lots of happy giggles. One more thing that really stood out, the coworking space pod is such a smart idea. We were actually able to get some work done while our toddler played safely nearby. We will absolutely be back, highly recommend for anyone looking for a clean, fun, and well designed open play space.

We visited Reign & Shine Play Lab for the first time, and my kids had an absolute blast! It's such a thoughtfully designed space with so many cool interactive stations--grocery, dress-up, medical, and more. Even my 6-month-old had a safe baby area to enjoy while my 2- and 4-year-olds (along with my nieces, also 2 and 4) explored all the activities. The space is well-ventilated and surprisingly calm--even with multiple kids playing at once, it never felt loud or overwhelming. I really appreciate that it's a quieter environment, which makes it especially favorable for neurodivergent kids who may be sensitive to overstimulation. I also loved the little reading nook with a couch--perfect for cozying up with my baby while the older kids played. To give some perspective: we had just gone to Sky Zone the day before, and all four kids unanimously said this was their favorite. That's unheard of--usually nothing tops Sky Zone! That said, a few small suggestions for improvement that I hope are addressed before the grand opening: * The hardwood flooring: toddlers take tumbles, and with so much exposed hard floor, there's a risk of bumps and head injuries. Adding rugs or softer flooring would make a big difference. * The swing in front of the interactive screen: it's a fun feature, but without a gate, it's an accident waiting to happen if a child runs behind it. * The reading nook couch: the back cushion could be higher, and the side cushions should be secured so kids don't bump their heads or fall off thinking the sides are solid. Overall, this is such a gem of a play space! We will definitely be back and I can see this becoming one of our go-to spots in the area.

I came here for a 6 year old birthday party with my own 6 year old and 4 year old. I'm not kidding…read moreI had more fun than my kids!! And my kids had the best time!! I cannot express how nice and gracious the staff were. They were so accommodating and made sure all race car riders were safe and everyone in the arcade had no issues. They had every arcade game imaginable as well as an interactive AI experience, a pool table that most adults enjoyed, air hockey, bowling, so many claw machines... I definitely plan on coming back and planning my son's birthday party here!! And I'm coming back to win the big bear!!! I was so close!! The space, the staff, the activities... all top quality and excellent! A++++ Highly recommended!!

Not a pleasant experience, especially when you're trying to celebrate a 3-year-old's birthday…read more We called ahead and spoke to the owner Lucine, who told us the soft play area had a private party but the arcade and kart racing were open to the public. We called again when we were 30 minutes out to ask about height requirements. Our call was missed -- and they called us back, so they had our number. We drove from Simi Valley to Sherman Oaks to find the entire place shut down for a private event. When we arrived, Lucine informed us that the party had upgraded their package, which resulted in the entire venue being booked. They had time to make signs for the party but couldn't take two minutes to call us back and save us the trip. Or save my 3-year-old the disappointment. When I said I'd be sharing my experience, Lucine handed over free passes -- then asked if I'd still be leaving a review. That told me everything about the gesture. It wasn't an apology. It was damage control. We may give them another chance, but this visit was sloppy and unprofessional. Call ahead if you're planning a trip. And maybe call twice. Edit to add: I already noted in my original review that an attempt was made to remedy the situation -- bringing it up again here with a dollar figure attached feels more like a rebuttal than a genuine response. For accuracy, what was offered to my three children was two rides and an arcade card each. I'd also push back on the characterization that it was 'gladly accepted.' When you're walking out the door disappointed with three kids, accepting something in the moment isn't the same as feeling made whole. As for the 155 five-star reviews -- a business that opened in September with 155 Google reviews but only 21 on other platforms raises valid questions. That kind of gap doesn't happen organically. It happens when customers are specifically directed to one platform. An honest review is not an attack. I shared our experience so other families can make informed decisions, and I stand by every word of it.

Everything is super colorful and set up in a way that actually keeps them entertained instead of getting bored after 10 minutes. One thing I really appreciated was how clean it was. That's always my biggest concern with indoor play places, and this one felt really well taken care of. The staff were also really nice and present without being overbearing, which made the whole experience feel easy and comfortable. There's a good mix of things to do too--areas for younger kids and enough going on for slightly older ones so no one feels left out. It's one of those places where kids can just run around and be kids while parents can actually sit for a second and breathe. Overall, it just felt easy, fun, and stress-free. Definitely a spot I'd come back to or recommend to other parents looking to get their kids out of the house.

I especially loved how safe everything felt--soft play structures, well-organized zones, and staff who were friendly and attentive. It's also such a great spot for playdates or even birthday parties. Plenty of seating for parents, and honestly, it's one of those rare places where both kids AND adults leave happy. Highly recommend if you're looking for a fun, stress-free place to let the kids burn energy and have a blast. We'll definitely be back!

I had just finished my shift at work nearby and wondered if there were any good saltwater stores nearby. I searched on Yelp and found this place. The store is run in a townhome and the only way you would know about it is by word of mouth or looking online, so it truly is a hidden gem ;). Jason was fantastic! He has a nice little setup that has one of the most amazing collection of corals I've seen in a compact space. If you're an sps guy like me, then this is the place to go to. He also has a nice variety of lps and softies. All of the corals are in great health and are thriving. I bought with confidence! Jason also has amazing prices on his selection of livestock and dry goods so it really is hard to complain about anything. He was really accommodating on my visit and made sure to answer any questions I had. If there is something that isn't there and you would like to get your hands on, just let him know and he will get it for you. I can't believe I drove by this place so many times without taking the time to drop by. I'm really glad I found this place as I will be back very soon for another splurge! It is hard to leave this place without wanting to buy something! Thanks Jason! Edit: also a tip, it would be a good idea to give him a call before arriving to see if he is available to open shop as he is in and out of shop sometimes.
