"Birthday Party" wasn't really in my mother's vocabulary while I was growing up. I can only remember having ONE party, which was in 2nd grade. If I recall, it went well and I received a lot of Barbie Dolls (even though I wasn't really into Barbies but I think the mothers of the other girls assumed I was). Walking into Happy Parties was a journey into my absent past and started to heal all the psychological effects that one is traumatized from by not having childhood birthday parties. Happy Parties wasn't even open when I attempted to walk in but Don, whom appears to be the owner or manager; was still in the shop because the other crew was working on a party that night so since he was there, he allowed me to be there as well, even after hours! The shop is a mixture of party favor supply and vintage toy store. The shelves are filled with standards like party board games, costumes, party favors such fake rings for the little girls and toy guns for the boys, little stuffed animals, rubber stamps, etc; which are sold individually or can be purchased in bulk for your child's party guests. The best part, no matter what your age, is the toys that we remember from our years as a tyke: Smurfs figurines, rubber Gumby dolls, and slinkies to name a few. It is almost like being at a flea market which is always a treat! Happy Parties doesn't just sell party supplies or favors, it also helps plan/run the party providing entertainment (clowns, costumed characters, and face painters), themes, and games. This will take the strain off of any stressed parent! Plus, Don announced that they are starting to run adult parties, as well. To add the icing to the cake (I love puns), Don was kind, polite, and very cheerful. Again, he allowed me to browse even after closing hours but he also exchanged (graciously) information with my boyfriend after learning that he is an artist and would be interested in providing caricature drawing services at future parties. Don genuinely seems happy with what he does for a living (and I learned that he didn't have birthday parties growing up, either!). Whether you are a stressed parent needing party-planning help or just a nutcase needing birthday party therapy like myself, Happy Parties seems to be the solution. Don provides such amazing customer service for our client event each year. The Easter bunny we get each year does great with the kids and never loses energy! We were bummed to have to cancel our this year's event due to the virus spread but Don handled the cancellation in a great and professional manner. OMG!! We just had the most amazing 4th of July party and all handled and run by Lynn herself! They have been doing our parties for years and have never let us down. We have a slew of friends and family from neighbors to movie producers and with her touch of magic they all just come together for a fabulous celebration! I needed Batman characters for my son's 4th bday party, and amongst so many choices for that kind of service, I solely chose them in the first place based on the great customer service that Rebecca provided by always being personable and professional at the same time. Now, the impersonator who "played" Batman , aka "Skippy", was way beyond perfect! The day before the party, I receive a friendly call from him so he could confirm what I wanted from their performance. At the day of the party, he was there 30 minutes early to introduce himself, and again, go over the final details. He was pretty much the leader, but Catwoman was really believable as well, (even talking with that famous accent...) and just followed his lead all the time. They had tons of energy, and he did exactly what I had asked for, which was a pretend fight with Catwoman (which was amazing) and mentioning my son's name quite often. It really felt like we were watching a fight scene from a Batman movie, although I have to mention it; it didn't hurt that they were both really good looking people as well...:) They played many kids games, always with high energy. Even after we sang Happy Birthday "Batman" offered himself to make balloons for the kids at their table while I was serving the cake. Really nice experience! I'll always use them for sure! They can be a little pricey compared to other places that you find on Internet, but seriously, it's totally worth it! A friend of mine hired magicians from Craig's List and they looked like wondering zombies and couldn't even get the magic right... just awful... This is an adorable toy store that has some awesome toys! My son frequents the store with my inlaws as their special place. They recently bought him a fireman hat that makes noise. He LOVES the hat- and uses it daily. The batteries ran out and I tired to get them out to replace them- and couldn't. One short visit to the store, and they happily replaced the hat for me as they couldn't get the batteries out either. Amazing customer service and adorable store! read more

I hired this company for my daughters sixth birthday. They were fantastic. The character girl, which was Ariel was perfect. My daughter is Autistic. Lynn wanted her to be comfortable, and content in every aspect of the party. Nikki really thought that she was Ariel. It was one of the best days in my daughters life. Let me just say that this place saved my butt on a day when I needed to get balloons for a baby shower. My first choice down the street Elegant Balloons let me down; I called two hours earlier asking if they were going to be open, and then what happens when I get there? They're CLOSED! Anyway I'm glad I had my crackberry so I could yelp another place closeby and this little spot popped up. I had a really bad experience with a party character. The costume was in bad shape and the character was late to my party.

As Caterer I am usually the prime contractor for an event, and when I subcontract them out, I always feel confident that they will represent me well. Hired Happy Parties for minion character for my son's 2nd birthday today. Working with Don and his team was excellent and reliable throughout the whole process from the first phone call to the follow up confirmation calls. The minion arrived on time in costume and was great with the kids, bringing all needed equipment to play games and make balloon animals. The minion sang a lot of songs and made the day very enjoyable for my little guy. The kids really appreciated the photo session at the end. The BEST toy store/ party planning store you will ever need! My son and I go in all the time and the owners are so gracious and kind. Beautiful on the inside and out. Fantastic mix of vintage toys and the new stuff.
