Beautiful property, we have been at friends weddings here, so we like the venue. Very easy to find, they have good signage, classy decor, big place, very Californian in a good way with lots of nature and vegetation around, very green. We have been here in the winter as well, still nice and woodsy, great decorations during the holidays. Calamigos Ranch is a nice getaway, very close to the city!

I just went to my son's wedding here and the place is beautiful- with trees and meadows and waterfalls-oh my!!!! The one thing I asked my son and bride to be was the importance of the food for the guests ( I didn't need to ask since they are both foodie connoisseurs ). But all our guests enjoyed the hors d'oeuervs, and complimented on the dinners. You get what you pay for and this was great. I can't say much about the service since their wedding planner coordinated everything, but the venue and the food is beautiful and good. The newlyweds stayed 3 nights there and it was luxurious!

What a beautiful venue for events! This ranch is very classy, beautiful, and gives tranquility vibes! I'm happy I was invited here for my friends job picnic, it was a very good time for sure. Professional staff here soon as you arrive they tell you where to go and park. They had nice valet parking that was complementary for the event, and I was able to walk through the ranch to see all what they have to offer! They have a coffee shop, restaurant, and you can view the nice rooms as you walk through the venues. Just very beautiful and well kept up. I see why many people have weddings here because it's quite memorable, which great photos to capture. I would love to stay here but I would have to save up some coins because it's not cheap, but I see why you get what you pay for. It's very worth it! They even had the paddle boats available for us to use, and that was so much fun! This place was perfect for a picnic. I will love to come back and stay when I try the wineries in the area! I hope I get invited to someone's wedding here in the future :)

WOW! Just wow at this place! We came to Calamigos ranch for a birthday dinner. This place is huge! It's over 200 acres and we got a bit lost at the beginning looking for the restaurant But i wasn't mad at it. It gave us a chance to take a look around. We came at night and the lighting/chandeliers in the trees made everything look like a fairytale place i swear! I can see why a lot of people choose to make this place their wedding venue. Nonetheless, the food at the Calamigos guest ranch and beach club restaurant was amazing! It was super intimate and the inside was just so warm and inviting. The staff was great and we basically ordered the whole menu. NOTHING we ordered left us disappointed. It was all very flavorful and I liked that it was like an asian fusion theme. We'll definitely return because from the moment we arrived to when we left we were left in "Awe" the staff was amazing as well and we loved our waiter.

Great place for family or day drinking. Areas to play or walk or sit and enjoy the sun.

Staycation Dream! I have been coming to Calamigos for years and to witness the amazing transformation they have been going through is SO IMPRESSIVE. You feel like you have been transported to a magic tree house! My daughter and I went here for a staycation before she heads off to college and it was a truly special experience. From the staff, servers, valets to the front desk , everyone was extremely warm and at the ready to make our stay the most memorable. I especially want to point out the staff at the front desk and spa, they went ABOVE and BEYOND to make our visit special but especially The Beach Club guys who set us up on the beach and made the hike to and from the club to get us food and drinks. THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

This venue is perfect for weddings of all sizes. There are plenty of rooms to choose from and each room has its own characteristics. The food is amazing! It is quite a drive from the San Gabriel Valley area for guests but it's still a good venue for celebrations. Not a fan of the flies and mosquitoes but it's part of the package due to the location in the mountain area.

The Calamigos Ranch is the luxury destination in Malibu that encompasses both a private ranch as well as an exclusive beachfront beach club. The private Cottages, Bungalows and Estate Rooms are thoughtfully designed to be cozy, intimate spaces to exist sustainably within the undisturbed nature, and the cabins have been created with the rural land. There's a pond inside the ranch area and it's good for pedal boat.

Calamigos Ranch is synonymous with elegant, SoCal weddings. Albeit a wedding factory, Calamigos is somehow able to make every wedding feel special, unique, and bespoke. My wife and I's wedding was no exception. From the moment we arrived on our tour, to the moment we left on our big day, most everything was spectacular and our friends and family remarked at how beautiful the venue was. Some of the venue highlights included: +A gorgeous, tree-filled woodland backdrop for the ceremony +A spectacular, twinkle-light studded reception +Attentive and courteous waitstaff +Free use of not only our ceremony location, but also the surrounding gardens and lots +Zero visibility into or cross-contamination with other weddings occurring that day However, there are a few setbacks (and warnings) that prevent me from giving Calamigos a five star review: +The sales office staff were somewhat haughty (and fussed over a small refund they owed me the day before my wedding) +A wedding planner or coordinator was an absolute must (and a month of coordinator is required by Calamigos)--you will not feel very secure navigating all the choices, paperwork, and dates without one +The parking "lot" is ample in size but has no pavement, thus guests complained that it scuffed up shoes and dresses (don't let the bride walk here!) +The signage and instructions to get to the venue are adequate at best and frustrating at worst, leaving some folks scurrying they day off

    Pool area and spa

Calamigos ranch is definitely one of our favorite stays! Thanks to Kurt and his exceptional service/communication I was able to plan a dream vacation and an awesome surprise proposal! Kurt went above and beyond when it came to planning and coordinating our trip/ proposal! We are definitely going to be back! Such a beautiful and relaxing stay!

Bella Vita Events had the honor of producing events over the last 10 years at the Calamigos Ranch. The venue has been expanding and is always trying to stay up to date, in order to provide the exceptional experiences to our clients. It is a pleasure to work there, and you have the choice in-between several rooms for your event. The Team is flexible and always willing to go the extra mile. Unfortunately, the customer service completely overshadowed what should have been a fun birthday celebration. I made a reservation for 8 people, which later increased to 10. When we arrived, the hostess was incredibly kind and seated us in the couch area, letting us know we had a 2-hour limit, which we were completely happy to respect. By the time everything settled, four people had canceled, so there were only six of us. The hostess and valet were wonderful, but unfortunately that was where the positive experience ended. About an hour into our reservation (with over an hour still remaining), a staff member approached us and accused us of lying about the size of our party because they needed the couch area for a larger group. If they had simply come over and politely asked if we'd be willing to move to one of the many open smaller tables, we would have gladly done so. We were there to celebrate, not make anyone's job harder. Instead, multiple staff members approached us within minutes of each other, each becoming more abrupt than the last. We had already told the first employee that we were wrapping things up, and literally just a few minutes later another employee came over with even more attitude insisting they needed the space. At that point, I simply said we'd leave. His response was, "Thank you," in a tone that made us feel completely unwelcome. To make matters worse, a wine flight was accidentally delivered to our table that none of us ordered. We politely let the staff know because we didn't want to be charged for something that wasn't ours, and instead of an apology or even checking what happened, we were met with skepticism, as though we were trying to get away with something. We never touched the flight--we simply wanted to make sure the mistake was corrected. What disappointed me most wasn't that they needed the table back. I completely understand restaurants and wineries have to accommodate guests and maximize seating. It was the way we were spoken to throughout the experience. Hospitality goes a long way, and a simple, respectful conversation would have changed everything. We weren't loud, disrespectful, or causing any issues. We still tipped our server because we believe in taking care of service staff, but the overall experience left us feeling uncomfortable and honestly put a damper on my birthday. The scenery is beautiful, and the location has so much potential. Unfortunately, the customer service made the experience feel anything but welcoming. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I hope this feedback encourages management to focus on how guests are treated. A little kindness and professionalism would have made all the difference. Sadly, I don't see myself returning. We did however leave and ended up going to paradise cove right on the beach and the staff was AMAZING so I'm glad it happened but I hope this never happens to someone else Also very over priced for basic items/food. The staff also just didn't seem like they knew what we were doing and we had to flag them down because service was so slow (mind you there was so many of them just kind of huddled not being attentive) and like they didn't even want to be there I'd like to add because I don't know how to reply to your comment as a manager We never ordered that extra flight and let them know immediately and also they never asked us to relocate as I stated we would've been happy to had them asked us nicely as stated above we enjoying our time until the staff spoke so rudely to us. Clearly this was not well documented because we only ordered 2 total flights and being spoken to like that is unacceptable. It's very disappointing to continue to be treated poorly there was multiple people there who can attest to what I'm saying. I guess you just ban people without getting all the facts and have never experienced this ever. I understand guests number changes AGAIN we would've been happy to move if asked nicely nobody offered or asked us to relocate . Also we forsure never ordered an extra flight so again another staff member lying when it's totally fine if it was mistakenly brought to our table. Best of wishes to your business. Sad sharing my experience got me banned it is what it is I just hope no one ever feels uncomfortable for a place with potential

It was a gorgeous wedding, and the venue was wonderful. I can't speak to the planning part or anything (though I know Bret and FeiFei liked working with both the site coordinator Cathy and the owners, Jill and Sparky--I've thoroughly enjoyed reading the Avesta Diaries on this page, but she and her damage are history), but from where I was sitting, the place seemed ideal. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and seated reception all took place at Rancho Del Cielo, in different parts of the scenic grounds. There were about a hundred of us in attendance, and we fit perfectly--there was plenty of room to party, but it felt warm and intimate, too. The views were marvelous before and after sundown, well worth the trek to Malibu (though the drive up seemed long and tricky enough that I was grateful the bride and groom hired shuttles). The decor was on point, charming and well suited to an al fresco California wedding. I had a lovely time at Rancho Del Cielo, and would highly recommend it if you're looking to get hitched in Malibu.
