My (now husband) & I came to Bella Vista Groves after our original venue decided they weren't going to be hosting weddings any longer (go figure, right?) I was immediately drawn to Bella Vista Groves for its beautiful garden style, the gorgeous house on the property (that you can stay the weekend in, & I 100% suggest you do) but we loved Bella Vista Groves so much bcus they were completely supportive & understanding of my families needs. We recently had our wedding at Bella Vista. We searched all over Ventura county looking for a beautiful outdoor wedding space and we found it with Bella Vista! We received so many compliments from our wedding guests about this gem we found in Fillmore. The staff was very helpful and Corinne was great making sure all our vendors were committed to making our day special and smooth by having all their ducks in order. I love this place because you can tell they really care about the couple and they are not just a wedding factory. We were looking for balance in our wedding venue when we started our search. We didn't want a completely empty canvas to work on (no lighting, no chairs/tables, no general structured sites) but we didn't want it to feel all-inclusive (must use their vendors, defined look for color scheme or decor and setup). Bella Vista had the perfect balance, and they had all of the options available if even if we hadn't decided to bring in some of our own options. The site is very well maintained and the staff is very personable and flexible. We didn't need to bring in additional lighting, we weren't forced to use their vendors, we didn't even have to bring in much for decor. We ended up sticking with their preferred vendor for our catering, Martino's and they were AMAZING. Our guests loved the food and service and they even made sure we constantly had food in front of us (we know how hard it is to eat at your own wedding). You can make your wedding here classic, rustic, formal, country...really anything with the setting they offer. It is so naturally beautiful too with the groves and the mountain backdrop. It also had a curfew that was later than most local options which was huge for us. We fit 150+ people, a dance floor, cocktail area, corn-hole, cigar lounge, large photo booth, and all of the other activity you'd find at a wedding at the site. Parking is great, lighting and sound is great, staff is great, electricity was great, bridal & groom suites were great. You can't go wrong at this location. Plus Fillmore tends to be a bit warmer so you can push your wedding into seasons that some other outdoor options may not allow. Check them out! Corrine and the rest of the staff are great. Where do I start? I can't thank Corinne and her team enough for my perfect wedding day! Planning a wedding can be pretty stressful (especially when you live out of town) but I never once doubted that Corinne and her team would make it perfect! Our wedding day was PERFECT! Bella vista is beautiful! When looking for an outdoor venue to have our wedding at, Bella vista stood out. When we first arrived for our tour, I had already made up my mind that it would be there before we even entered the grounds. The gated uphill entrance is absolutely breathtaking and made an impression on every one of our guests that attended. This place is an amazing property, in which I had the pleasure to work as a wedding coordinator. I must say in the years in my profession and the many weddings I've attended I never heard of this venue. It's a hidden gem! The property is so well-maintained and the management team really does have passion for the venue, in which they care for it as their own. They also had a list of preferred vendors, in which my client chose Martino's Catering and Divine Visuals DJ. We had the most beautiful even at Bella Vista. The staff was incredibly supportive and our event ran smoothly with the help of recommended vendors. The catering was fabulous and all of our guests enjoyed the food. The venue was stunning with its picturesque landscaping and incredible views of the mountains. We decided to dress it up with a more elegant vibe but it would have been perfect for burlap and lace as well. Bella Vista Groves is the ideal outdoor venue in heritage valley hidden in the lush avocado and lemon orchards in fillmore. The grounds are very well maintained and every corner you turn from the entrance gates with the lined cypress trees to the garden reception area is breathtaking. The venue also has reputable preferred vendors making the planning so much easier. The bistro lighting included in the venue rental adds to the ambiance. This place is the perfect combination of farmhouse and garden theme fairytale. Not to mention they allow for the event to end by 11pm, which is later than most venues in Ventura county. read more

I had my wedding at this beautiful location on 6/17. The experience from the moment I called was amazing. I was handed all of the information I needed both via email and when we visited the venue. When we saw this venue, my husband and I both really liked it! We loved how beautiful the garden area was and how romantic the setting is and would fit our theme perfectly. The house that comes with it is also beautiful on the outside but not as great on the inside. It's only fair to write this review with two different ratings, one for the time leading up to the wedding and one for the actual wedding day. Let me explain. Working with Corinne, the Venue Manager, was a headache. We felt that everything went downhill after we booked the venue and started working with her directly. She has a very strong personality and can be difficult to work with. We had some difficulties getting information from Corinne about the size of the pergola for flowers and she did not seem welcoming when I basically had to beg to go with our officiant to check out the venue. She was unwilling to provide the gate access code about 30 minutes in advance because she "likes us calling to get the code from her". If I had known it was going to be so difficult to work with the venue manager, I would not have selected this venue. The unnecessary stress was not worth enjoying this beautiful venue when there are other options in the nearby area. Due to this, I would rate this venue a 3 out of 5 and would NOT recommend it. We got married on a Saturday and I stayed the night at the rental house on Friday night with some of the bridesmaids. The house is not very pretty on the inside and the beds felt terrible. Based on the contract, we felt like we couldn't do much in that place. We basically just stayed to sleep. I would not recommend staying the night in this rental property, not worth the money. The wedding day went much better than expected, thankfully. We hired Corinne as the day of coordinator and I will admit she did a great job. She did stay out of my hair unless needed and I hear almost everything went as planned. I did also hear some of our guests were not happy with her as she came off very bossy and not very friendly or approachable. Some of our family was trying to go into the house before the ceremony to just say hi and to stay away from the heat but I heard she was kicking people out of the house and that bothered a few people. Overall, I felt like she really was trying to do a good job and tried to not bother me and let me enjoy the day. I would give the actual wedding day a 5 out of 5 simply because of the venue being as beautiful as it is and our vendors were able to come together to make it happen. read more

We had our wedding at Bellavista groves July 20th 2018. It was amazing. All our guests have raved about the venue they loved how beautiful it was. My husband and I loved how romantic, elegant, and relaxed it felt. Just perfect for what we wanted. We loved working with corrine (our wedding cordinator) she helped with all the details leading up to the big day and helped everything run smoothly the day of. We fell behind on our time line but she kept us on track and kept things running smoothly and made our time worry free by working closely with the vendors and ensuring everything was taken care of. We rented the house at the venue for the night of the wedding. We didnt have to worry about driving anywhere and corrine packed us some food for a midnight snack. YUM! The only thing I wish I had done differently would have been to rent the house the night before the wedding. So I would have gotten ready there and not have been running a little late. I was originally scheduled to have my wedding at another venue, unfortunately I received a phone call (4 1/2 months before my wedding) stating that they had lost their license and I was now unable to have my wedding at their property. So the search began. I had come across dozens of venues but Bella Vista Groves stood out to me. The first thing that stood out was the appearance of the venue, The grounds are maintained and very well kept. I visited the property several times and every time I showed up it always looked event ready. I originally met with the coordinator Ashley and then started working with Corrine. Corrine was very helpful at pointing me in the right direction of looking for vendors, everytime I had a question about a service she was able to provide names of vendors that would be able to assist me. Corrine also recommended a day of coordinator, Tracy,and I have to say it was one of the best decisions I made. Tracy was on top of everything and made sure everything/everyone was where they were supposed to be. Bella vista has a selection of rentals to chose from, from a truck/tractor to tables and decorations. I had paid for the yellow flat bed truck and Corrine brought out the tractor for me as well even though I didn't rent it. I am so happy she brought it out because the pictures I have with the red tractor are some of my favorite pictures from the day. Corrine went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed for the day of my wedding, as well as everything I didn't know I needed. I can not say enough good things about the property and the people I had the absolute pleasure of working with there. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone who was in need of a venue for any occasion. read more
