Everything functioned in the RV as advertised, and there were no issues that interrupted our drive or experience. The RV had 3 beds that were about full size each, but the kids primarily used the one in the back. We were able to connect their Playstation to the TV which made the kids (and I) especially happy. The RV did get warm from time to time considering we drove during a warm spell, so we just cooled it down with the generator before we started driving and then turned it off and used the main cabin vehicle AC to keep it cool so we didn't used much propane. The bathroom worked great, and the vents/ fans kept the bathroom and coach smelling normal. One of the very convenient amenities was having on-board WiFi which allowed the kids to have all the entertainment options they're normally used to at home. Also, Jane was great in giving me, a first-time RV driver/user, a thorough introduction to all the features and functionality of the RV. There are convenient QR codes throughout the RV that provide instructions on how to use everything. Well thought out. If I were to ask for any "nice to haves", I'd say maybe a little more engine power. The RV seems to be most comfortable between 60 and 70 mph, and you just have to be mindful during uphill climbs. Overall, it was a great experience that was relaxing and stress free for my kids, which is stress free for me. I'd recommend to friends or family. Thank you Chill RV for making my kids first long road trip a great experience.

Cruise America - The battery under the hood. Really safe, right?!

Beware! Stay clear of this establishment for your rental needs…read more.. We rented a Motorhome from The Cruise America Fillmore, California location. We had nothing but issues with the motorhome: 1. Both batteries drained and died due to the converter being broken leaving us stranded in Washington 2. Our 22 hour drive with a terrible sewage smell b/c we came to find out it was never dumped. Both Black and Gray were full even though the owner stated they were dumped (lies) 3. The battery had extreme corrosion (photos are in the notes at Cruise America). We were told we had to clean it to give us a little more help. 4. The interior was falling apart 5. The motorhome was in need of a front and rear wheel alignment making it difficult to drive 6. The generator wouldn't turn over...it didn't work. We couldn't use it. We felt completely unsafe and had great difficulty finding the help we needed on the road. When we were stranded we called the Cruise America hotline. We spoke with: 1. Kayla (hung up on my husband) 2. James (the "supervisor" who is completely incompetent in his job) belittled our intelligence. He claimed his knowledge was working at O'Rileys Auto Parts made him the know all. He said there is no way both batteries could die....well they did.....At this time we had a licensed Motorhome Auto-mechanic who was nice enough to help us diagnose the issue (Bradley's Mobile RV Repair out of Idaho...you have their info since they invoiced you and shared photos and diagnostics). James was Rude and gave the silent treatment to Bradley when he told him the diagnostics. He completely ignored what he said and Bradley had to further press the situation and Cruise America said just jump the battery and made us drive to an O'Rileys. Because Bradley was not given the authorization his hands were tied. He jumped the battery and went back to Idaho. Note: we needed a converter not a battery and Bradley could have fixed it right then and there. Upon arriving at O'Rileys...The assistant manager Izzy (who was wonderful) helped us and diagnostics came back same as before. The batteries, the starter, and Alternator was working at 100percent. At that moment I called back AGAIN and got... 3. David: semi helpful but also lied to us in saying he called Bradley back after the cluster thus far and he was returning with the part from Camping World. I had to call Bradley who said he wasn't coming back and didn't answer their calls. So the "Bradley will be back" was a lie. We called back AGAIN... 4. Christine: finally we were getting somewhere but we had to purchase a battery trickle charge and stay in the dark to get us to our next destination. 5. Caito: was the best! She listened and wished we started with her because this wouldn't have escalated this far. Caito tried to get us another repair shop to come and she couldn't find anyone She was hoping to find someone the next day Unfortunately, we had to leave between 5 and 6AM. She tried to find us somewhere in Oregon and successfully did but we didn't make it to Oregon by the time they closed. She did also check on us, but we were again forced to use the trickle charge and hope and pray it worked to get us home. Our trip was ultimately ruined and we got little to no support! Caito, Christine, and David said we could further discuss a refund once the motorhome was back in Fillmore. Caito said a refund is warranted from our ordeal. When returning the Motorhome to Fillmore, the gentlemen/owner was defensive and accusatory as if we were lying. Actually acted very much like James. He refused any conversation regarding a refund. And wouldn't accept his motorhome was problematic or there was lack of care at his establishment for his rigs. We tried to reach Caito again today and were told to call back after 4. We did and got another young lady who wasn't helpful. I didn't catch her name. She said since we turned in the vehicle there is no way to see our dialogue and problems. Also said the only person to give us a refund is the owner in Fillmore. He wouldn't. Never once did David, Christine or Cairo say the only person to give a refund was only the Fillmore man. She also said there is no human or department to help us now. What kind of customer service is that? We were told we were warranted a refund. We deserve a refund. I also would like to add we were traveling with two young children (aged 5 and 1). These conditions were downright unsafe and my children's lives were put in a bad situation. You basically left us to fend for ourselves. I even requested a new vehicle or other means of transportation and that wasn't a go. I sat on hold numerous times listening to your advertisement stating we would be safe in your vehicle. You were wrong! We will never use Cruise America again! Also, we have initiated a complaint with the BBB.

Ed and Arturo took great care of us, making sure that we had everything we needed, and even went over specific tips and tricks we could use to conserve as much power as possible since we were boondocking for the first time. Ed answered my billion questions over the months leading up to our booking, and made me feel very confident and secure everything would go well. Arturo gave us a great walkthrough of all the RV's features and really set us up for success. When you're talking with these guys, you know that they really care about you having a fantastic and easy time on your adventures. The RV was fully stocked with everything we could have needed - linens, coffee machine, kitchen gear, cleaning supplies, the works! I definitely did not need to pack so much, because it was clear that they had already thought of everything their clients might need. The RV was pristinely clean and didn't have a single technical issue. And the fact that they take Sunday dropoffs was a lifesaver! This was the first time we'd ever rented an RV, and the whole experience was so smooth and comfortable that I can't wait for another excuse to go on an RV trip. We definitely will be booking with Road Shark in the future.

8/8/24-8/11/24 Mini-getaway…read more My family and I are not outdoorsy people, but we decided to surprise my kids with an opportunity to glamp with a fancy RV. I did a lot of research on private rental companies vs. owner rentals. I really liked how luxurious the interiors were and how they offered delivery and pick up. It was more pricey but I wanted to be comfortable. I decided to give Road shark a try and it worked out beautifully. *One thing I did not know is how much additional rental insurance etc. you had to tack on with the rental. Besides that, the amenities were suitable for my family of four and my two fur boys. I checked in with Brett prior to delivery date to get some of my questions answered. He personally delivered the RV and gave us a run down of all the amenities and how to operate everything. I appreciated the accuracy of the yelp photos of the interiors. So many times you rent and find out when you arrive, the pictures were very outdated and what you get paid is not what you get. Not in this case. I paid for Wifi connection but they did not bring an ipad for connectivity. Brett apologized and said he would comp us for the Wifi charge. He told us we could just use our phone's hotspot and connect. It worked out nicely, and we had Wifi at the campgrounds. We were comped for it. Brett made sure we understood all instructions before he hailed an uber back to LA. Since it was out first time RV-ing, we went to KOA in San Diego to reduce anxiety. the drive was smooth up to 65 miles per hour. When we exceeded the recommended speed, things would start rattling and shaking. We quickly understood why we had to adhere to the speed recommended to drive. Other than that, my kids were very happy sitting in the back enjoying their onboard entertainment. When we arrived at the campgrounds, went pulled into our spot with full hookups. We took note the black water port did not have an adapter so we could not hook it up full time to empty. I texted Brett and he said we could either purchase a kit that would be reimburses or not empty it (and we would not get charged since no adapter). We later figured out a way how to manually empty as needed. Everything else worked well. I was extremely surprised at how well the convection oven/microwave worked for the kids chicken nuggets and corn dogs. Even though all the kitchenware was included in the RV, we still brought our own pans and disposable dishware. The beds were clean, freshly laundered sheets smelled great but did not fit the beds well (probably a common issue). It only comes with 3 sets of sheets and towels. Only two pillows which I also asked Brett about. He said we could purchase some and they will comp us for the cost. We survived without it. We took a shower the first night on the RV but then decided to transition to the showers in the building due to space. The onboard water temp and pressure was great. I did not have to worry about running out of hot water. The toilet flush pressure was also ideal to combat my husbands bathroom trips. No issues with the kitchen sink or any other appliances. The fridge was a perfect size for all our meats and frozen desserts. The car shades in front and the shades for the interior created a perfect environment for sleep. We really enjoy the outside LED light awnings. We utilized the camp ground picnic table and internet to eat dinners and watch movies around the campfire. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. Brett had great communication throughout the trip and the last day as we came home. I let him know we were heading back and he let us know when he would be coming over to provide pick up. We got home, he came to pick up the RV, and he was on his way back to LA. About a week later I received the email about the $1,500 deposit scheduled for refund on our account, and he swapped the pick up delivery/fee with the Wifi charge. I highly recommend renting with RoadShark RV. We had a great newbie glamping experience. The price of a comfortable and newer interior rental made all the difference for me and my family. Thank you again, Brett for the awesome customer service!

Best decision ever! Although getting to the meeting point was a bit scary as we drove 15 mph through winding roads next to steep cliffs, the views were nice and the ATV experience was totally worth it! We gave ourselves plenty of time to get lost and it took us about 1.5 hours to get to the checkpoint. Luckily Google Maps was on the entire time and we even had an hour to kill on top of the mountain before our 12:30pm appointment. (Also had screenshots of the directions in case we lost service). Upon arrival, we met with the two girls who were wearing face masks and face shields so we felt safe. They had all the sanitizing stuff. They checked us all in, gave us each a mesh covering for our head, pairs of gloves, goggles and helmets. They offered different insurance plans (just like a rental car company), each ranging in price. Then, they walked us over to the ATVs where Jorge was our tour guide. He asked us if we've ever rode before and taught us how to use the automatic ATVs and made us feel comfortable and safe. (Throttle was on the right handle bar and brakes on the left. Second brake was a foot pedal). We drove on wide and narrow trails, over some fun rocky areas, kicking up lots of dust, and he took photos of us the entire time. This was a great family bonding experience and we're all still talking about how fun it was and want to do it again. Know Before You Go: It gets dusty so wear clothes and closed toe shoes that you're ok getting dirty. Give yourself plenty of time to drive to the location because the last thing you want to do is rush through the scary mountain roads. 10/10 would definitely do this again!
