Cruise America (CA) in Fillmore had an RV available the next day. Bigger. Fewer amenities. Harold, a super nice guy, running a business outside the likes of a city environment, was nice and had the RV earlier than initially stated. That alone kept us on schedule. He heard my issues and helped immensely. I had an issue with the water pump, CA kept in contact with me and walked me through a process to correct it. I own a catamaran which is highly more sophisticated to deal with electronically, a RV with an issue that was resolved over the phone has never been my experience. CA and Harold at CA Fillmore have been good. By the way, it is less expensive the man RVezy by about a third. So I got a double win. I would use Harold in Fillmore and CA again. Read the online manual thoroughly. It helps a lot. Donna O

A Cruise America employee put her hands on me and lied to 911 about it -- here's what happened on…read moremy cross-country move I rented a motorhome from Cruise America to drive two elderly disabled women, one of them insulin dependent and on a breathing machine 24 hours a day, from Missouri to California. At pickup, the staff couldn't get the dipstick out of the first vehicle to check the oil. The one they gave me instead was missing the dipstick tube entirely, so it could go straight down and hit the engine's crankshaft and wreck it. I told the mechanic on site. He told me not to worry, just don't push it in too far. That was the extent of it. They rented it to me anyway. The vehicle was dirty, had body damage, a fuel gauge that didn't match reality, and a wrong odometer reading I had to correct myself on the paperwork. Partway through the trip we smelled propane, so I shut the whole system down, which meant buying an ice chest and ice on the road to keep my passenger's insulin cold. The microwave wouldn't stay put, a drawer kept popping open, and between everything we couldn't sleep in it, cook in it, or use the bathroom. Three nights of hotels, two rooms a night since both women needed their own space with their equipment. Then I return the vehicle on time, and the employee at the drop-off location won't inspect it, won't look at my paperwork, won't give me her name, and tells me the condition of the vehicle "isn't her problem." I start taking pictures to prove I returned it complete and on time. She comes running at me screaming profanity, physically pushes me trying to knock the phone out of my hand, and calls 911 telling the dispatcher I'm drunk and threatening her. None of that was true. Police showed up, talked to both of us, and asked me straight out if I wanted to press charges against her for putting her hands on me. I told them no. I wasn't cited or arrested. I sat right there and waited for them the whole time. After all of that, Cruise America's customer service offers me $50 and a $75 gift certificate, and wants me to sign something saying that's full and final and I won't bring any other claims against them. I'm not writing this looking for sympathy. I'm writing it so other people know what to check for before they rent from this company, especially if you're moving anyone with medical needs. And I don't think a company should get to make an employee assaulting a customer and lying to police disappear for $125 and a signature. Happy to answer questions if this has happened to anyone else

Ed and Arturo took great care of us, making sure that we had everything we needed, and even went over specific tips and tricks we could use to conserve as much power as possible since we were boondocking for the first time. Ed answered my billion questions over the months leading up to our booking, and made me feel very confident and secure everything would go well. Arturo gave us a great walkthrough of all the RV's features and really set us up for success. When you're talking with these guys, you know that they really care about you having a fantastic and easy time on your adventures. The RV was fully stocked with everything we could have needed - linens, coffee machine, kitchen gear, cleaning supplies, the works! I definitely did not need to pack so much, because it was clear that they had already thought of everything their clients might need. The RV was pristinely clean and didn't have a single technical issue. And the fact that they take Sunday dropoffs was a lifesaver! This was the first time we'd ever rented an RV, and the whole experience was so smooth and comfortable that I can't wait for another excuse to go on an RV trip. We definitely will be booking with Road Shark in the future.

8/8/24-8/11/24 Mini-getaway…read more My family and I are not outdoorsy people, but we decided to surprise my kids with an opportunity to glamp with a fancy RV. I did a lot of research on private rental companies vs. owner rentals. I really liked how luxurious the interiors were and how they offered delivery and pick up. It was more pricey but I wanted to be comfortable. I decided to give Road shark a try and it worked out beautifully. *One thing I did not know is how much additional rental insurance etc. you had to tack on with the rental. Besides that, the amenities were suitable for my family of four and my two fur boys. I checked in with Brett prior to delivery date to get some of my questions answered. He personally delivered the RV and gave us a run down of all the amenities and how to operate everything. I appreciated the accuracy of the yelp photos of the interiors. So many times you rent and find out when you arrive, the pictures were very outdated and what you get paid is not what you get. Not in this case. I paid for Wifi connection but they did not bring an ipad for connectivity. Brett apologized and said he would comp us for the Wifi charge. He told us we could just use our phone's hotspot and connect. It worked out nicely, and we had Wifi at the campgrounds. We were comped for it. Brett made sure we understood all instructions before he hailed an uber back to LA. Since it was out first time RV-ing, we went to KOA in San Diego to reduce anxiety. the drive was smooth up to 65 miles per hour. When we exceeded the recommended speed, things would start rattling and shaking. We quickly understood why we had to adhere to the speed recommended to drive. Other than that, my kids were very happy sitting in the back enjoying their onboard entertainment. When we arrived at the campgrounds, went pulled into our spot with full hookups. We took note the black water port did not have an adapter so we could not hook it up full time to empty. I texted Brett and he said we could either purchase a kit that would be reimburses or not empty it (and we would not get charged since no adapter). We later figured out a way how to manually empty as needed. Everything else worked well. I was extremely surprised at how well the convection oven/microwave worked for the kids chicken nuggets and corn dogs. Even though all the kitchenware was included in the RV, we still brought our own pans and disposable dishware. The beds were clean, freshly laundered sheets smelled great but did not fit the beds well (probably a common issue). It only comes with 3 sets of sheets and towels. Only two pillows which I also asked Brett about. He said we could purchase some and they will comp us for the cost. We survived without it. We took a shower the first night on the RV but then decided to transition to the showers in the building due to space. The onboard water temp and pressure was great. I did not have to worry about running out of hot water. The toilet flush pressure was also ideal to combat my husbands bathroom trips. No issues with the kitchen sink or any other appliances. The fridge was a perfect size for all our meats and frozen desserts. The car shades in front and the shades for the interior created a perfect environment for sleep. We really enjoy the outside LED light awnings. We utilized the camp ground picnic table and internet to eat dinners and watch movies around the campfire. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. Brett had great communication throughout the trip and the last day as we came home. I let him know we were heading back and he let us know when he would be coming over to provide pick up. We got home, he came to pick up the RV, and he was on his way back to LA. About a week later I received the email about the $1,500 deposit scheduled for refund on our account, and he swapped the pick up delivery/fee with the Wifi charge. I highly recommend renting with RoadShark RV. We had a great newbie glamping experience. The price of a comfortable and newer interior rental made all the difference for me and my family. Thank you again, Brett for the awesome customer service!

Best decision ever! Although getting to the meeting point was a bit scary as we drove 15 mph through winding roads next to steep cliffs, the views were nice and the ATV experience was totally worth it! We gave ourselves plenty of time to get lost and it took us about 1.5 hours to get to the checkpoint. Luckily Google Maps was on the entire time and we even had an hour to kill on top of the mountain before our 12:30pm appointment. (Also had screenshots of the directions in case we lost service). Upon arrival, we met with the two girls who were wearing face masks and face shields so we felt safe. They had all the sanitizing stuff. They checked us all in, gave us each a mesh covering for our head, pairs of gloves, goggles and helmets. They offered different insurance plans (just like a rental car company), each ranging in price. Then, they walked us over to the ATVs where Jorge was our tour guide. He asked us if we've ever rode before and taught us how to use the automatic ATVs and made us feel comfortable and safe. (Throttle was on the right handle bar and brakes on the left. Second brake was a foot pedal). We drove on wide and narrow trails, over some fun rocky areas, kicking up lots of dust, and he took photos of us the entire time. This was a great family bonding experience and we're all still talking about how fun it was and want to do it again. Know Before You Go: It gets dusty so wear clothes and closed toe shoes that you're ok getting dirty. Give yourself plenty of time to drive to the location because the last thing you want to do is rush through the scary mountain roads. 10/10 would definitely do this again!

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY -- TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE- Location in Tracy- Northern CA…read more We booked a mountain ATV ride with Enjoy the Mountain ATV in July 2026, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. The first red flag was that the company did not provide a phone number, making it difficult to get help or clarification when we needed it. We followed their directions exactly and arrived 30 minutes early. We parked in the designated lot as instructed by the person at the gate, but our guide never came to meet us. We eventually had to drive into the park ourselves and locate the guide, who was parked on the side of the road. There was no clear signage identifying the company or where customers were supposed to check in. Once we finally found the guide, the intake process took approximately 40 minutes. After all of that, we paid approximately $700 for a ride that lasted only about 20 minutes. We were also promised pictures from the experience, but no pictures were ever provided. What made the experience even worse was the customer service afterward. Rather than taking responsibility for the poor communication, unclear instructions, lack of signage, and failure to provide what was promised, the company provided little to no accountability. For the amount of money we spent, this was absolutely not the experience we expected. Poor communication, poor organization, inadequate customer service, and failure to deliver what was promised. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this company and would strongly encourage others to consider other ATV companies before booking.
