Open 4 weeks. Grand opening tonight Brand new place on Main Street in downtown Ventura. This location has only been open for 4 weeks but when we went it was their grand opening weekend! This place is a small tap house with a variety of seating. The cidery offers a wide range of ciders, including slushie and hot drinks! Must ciders were combined with something. Ciders tend to be sweet in my opinion. As I'm a purest, the ciders were not my jam, but if you prefer something a bit sweeter then this may be your place. As the apple cider seemed light in apple taste, I enjoy the apricot cider. The apricot cider was full on apricot. Super friendly staff! Owner has been making cider for awhile. Now his son has joined him in his business. Worth a try....

This place rocks my socks off. Good cider, good people, good times. Constantly rotating flavors and always delicious, if they have a Sound Labs flight you must get it! So happy they exist!!

We recently found this new business and since I've never been to a cider brewery (if that's what it's called) I was quite excited. A brightly lit space that has a sofa seating area which provided a cozy spot for a group to hang out or play the board/trivia games that they provide. I loved how each offering was in a picture frame on the wall, simply designed yet classy. Their flight comes with three tasters and is a good way to try out the different offerings. My experience with ciders is that it tends to be sweet and filling so I was pleasantly surprised that the ones here were not. Although I didn't have a favorite, there were two that stood out more for me, the Salted Caramel Apple had a strong caramel flavor which I enjoyed, and the Zapote Sour Wine was too tart for my liking. I had a sip of the hot mulled cider from my friend, it really gave me a festive vibe. Not sure if this is a seasonal drink due to the holidays or if it'll be available year round. The owners are very friendly. Definitely coming back soon to try more of their offerings.

Absolutely delicious

Only cider bar in town. Has some cool flavors. I wish there was a little more personality inside though.

We stopped in to check out this new place to us and found out that this establishment has been open for approximately 12 years as a winery. And several years ago they got into making ciders! This place is primarily a winery with a spin off of a cidery where they feature approximately 5 ciders on tap. Plus they have ciders in bottles that you can take away. They had one apple cider and several other flavors. As I am a traditionalist when it comes to cider, I stick to the apple cider! It was good but definitely on the sweeter side! I prefer dry ciders! Ciders cost 11 dollars a glass. They have take away bottles of ciders too! Nice item to take to the beach! If you are not a cider fan or prefer wine, they have an extensive menu of wine! The winery/cidery does have a comfy location to kick back within a small space! They have nice comfy seats plus larger communal tables! They also have a venue space where they have their wine barrels! Looks like a nice space to do an event! We appreciate the great hospitality! Thanks Tyler for the intro to this establishment!

The location itself is nice - it's beautifully decorated with plenty of seating options. They had live music while we were there, which was super fun. We sat far enough away that we could still hold a conversation while listening to the music. They also offer food items, such as pizza and charcuterie, which is a plus - always nice to have food while doing a tasting. They offer flight options of five ciders. They explained that the first cider in the flight (I believe it was the sour apple) was the base for all their ciders. The problem was that I didn't like that first cider at all, so it was a lost cause for all the other ciders on the flight as well. It sounds like other people really like their cider, but for me, this one was a loss. They're also part of Four Brix Winery, so if you're not a cider fan, you can also order a glass of wine or try their wine flight. Overall, it was a nice experience between the music and time spent with friends, but I wouldn't return because I wasn't a fan of their ciders.

Blake Owner/Brewer/ Magician!! Couldn't have been more inviting. He genuinely cares about his craft as he went into detail about every cider they offer. The location is not set up yet for sit down service but that didn't stop Blake from giving us a mini tour and an actual sample straight from the tank of a new Blueberry cider. I must have sampled at least 8 different flavors & when it was time to decide it was not easy. I'll say the prices are pretty good when you consider the product is the best in Ventura County! I will share this experience with anyone who supports local business! Thank you Blake!! You made our day!

There was one roller door open and a small self-made bar with only a couple people sitting at it. We took our chances, stepped out of our car and went to inquire if we were in the right place for a cider tasting. The owner/bartender was very enthusiastic and welcomed us in! We were then treated to a tasting of approximately 10 different ciders, all handcrafted by the owner and his partner themselves. There's a story behind each cider, and the owner took the time to explain the stories, converse with us and laugh with us. It was beyond a pleasant experience. And the ciders were nothing short of phenomenal!

Back Patio Cellars feels like you've just meandered into Frank & Jen's backyard, and they invite you to stay awhile to try some cider/wine. This is definitely their passion project, and it shows in how they talk about their ciders/wine and enjoy sharing with people. It's located in a business park where they have what seems like a traditional tasting room with a few tables, a "living room" with comfortable seats and a couch surrounded by their barrels, and a "patio" outside with covered seating. We opted for a cider tasting, and as someone who was a little wary, because I don't have much of a sweet tooth, I was so excited to hear that their style is on the drier side. These hard ciders are dangerously good... refreshing, delicately flavored, and you wouldn't even know that they're packed with a high ABV. We tried the Apple, Black Berry Pie, Golden Kiwi, Guava, Blood Orange, and Key Lime. My favorite was the guava and my SO's was the Black Berry Pie. These are perfect for warm weather, and you can even take cans or growlers to go! As for food, there are some snacks available for purchase, and folks are welcome to bring their own snacks (uh, charcuterie plate, anyone?) except when there's a food truck. Jen mentioned that they don't have a cider club just yet, but they do have a wine club. We're definitely planning on coming back for a wine tasting very soon, see ya there!

This is a family owned/operated wine and beer tasting room located in Carpinteria, with their vineyards located on nearby Rincon Mountain and in Paso Robles. Cool vibe entry area, with a large, garage-like back room and outdoor tasting areas. Parking available both on street and in a private lot in back. WINES: We were fortunate to have Jill, co-owner with her husband Edward, pour for us and the service was excellent. We tried 5 wines from the tasting menu, a '22 Storytime Rosè, '22 Susie Q (white Rhone blend), 2020 Dusty Vinyl (Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre red blend), '19 Tempranillo, and a '19 Monk (Bordeaux red blend). In addition, Jill also poured us a '22 Syrah. Again, all the wines were well-made and flavorful. We took advantage of the waived tasting fee and took several bottles home with us. You can also purchase wines by the glass or enjoy a bottle onsite. BEER: New since our last visit, Jill and Edward decided to brew beer, so we also decided to share a tasting. All ingredients are grown on their property and they're currently pouring a Lu Lu Lager, a Monk's Ration (Belgian Ale), and a Sal's Stout. The pours are generous and easily enough for two people to share a tasting. We're not huge beer fans, but these, especially the lager and the ale, were so refreshing and full of flavor. They're sold in 750ml bottles, and we took a couple of these home as well. I highly recommend a visit to Rincon Mountain Winery's tasting room. You won't be disappointed!
