There was amazing food and the service was great, the server explained everything well. The overall experience was great. Will definitely come back

Four course dinner for two runs you a pretty penny but IT IS an experience that you pay for. You will be SOOO full by the end because there is a lot to eat. If you come for a date or just a party of 2 you can request for Lovers Lane which is more private seating where you can also adjust the lights of your seating area. Throughout the night the waiter (Jay) was awesome, and one of the managers (Angie) was walking around helping out as well. I enjoyed that every ingredient was explained when being added so you could see everything from start to finish Perks to many of these items is you can request for any extras for instance more pretzels or extra strawberries for no extra cost. Wisconsin cheddar: enjoyed this cheese, enjoyed the pretzels a lot with this Bacon Parmesan ranch: the Parmesan pine nuts are awesome (you can ask for extra) and the salad was purely the very leafy, dark green not the whitish/roots of the lettuce Land and sea: good option if you want some seafood, the garlic pepper steak had a little too much seasoning but it could be scraped off without issues Steak lovers: wasn't a big fan of the teriyaki steak (very tough) but the filet mignon was good The original: nice mix of peanut butter and milk chocolate, not a lot of chocolate but my favorite dips were the fruits, brownies, and waffle Biggest complaints were the cushions in my seat was broken... and the music was very odd throughout the night. Lots of it seemed like cellphone ringtones that just didn't seem to fit. Food: 4.5/5 Ambience: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Overall this is an expensive experience but one that is very unique that I'd recommend. You can definitely get away with just doing the cheese or dessert because those impressed me more than the entree portions. Tl;dr worth paying for the experience, great staff, full 4 course is a lot of food/consider just the cheese or chocolate experience; request lovers lane if on a date

Server asked what we were celebrating and dessert came with this!

Well I have been sleeping on this chain for a decade now. My 21 yr old loves it and it's now become girls night go to. The service is great and the food is fresh. We only do the cheese and chocolate but sometimes add a salad. Everything is tasty so far. Fun fact; red grapes in spinach artichoke cheese is amazing! There is visible wear on some booths and some surfaces but still clean and inviting for the most part. Be sure to make a reservation

The good The staff was incredible. The hostess was sweet and kind. Our server Ang was AMAZING. She was friendly and professional. She chatted with our son and was genuine and thoughtful. The salads were really good. We had Wisconsin cheddar and they would refill the "dippers" if we needed. The Bee's tea was easily best non alcohol drink I ever had. The Ying/yang chocolate was very good. The waffles and chocolate marshmallows were the best part. We added on cream puffs and they were well worth the extra money. We ate soooo much!! The ok part One vegetarian and two steak eaters so I basically just ate all my vegetables raw. Sharing a cast iron skillet wasn't working. Ang's advice was to get a bigger table with two cook plates next time. It was a bit pricey for what you got but it was more about the experience. ***Total cost for 3 people no alcohol $263.20

First time fondue!

Well, that was fun! Wanted to take my 10 year old nephew someplace fun for dinner where they served more than hamburgers and fries. I'd never had fondue and thought the nephew and I would both get a kick out of it. NOTE: I had read online that kids eat free on certain nights, but was told this was incorrect. The restaurant wasn't crowded, but still, there was a bit of a wait at the door. Short staffed would be my guess. We were taken through the labyrinth that is the dark, cozy restaurant and seated in a spacious booth. A young server gave us menus and did an excellent job explaining how it works. Basically, you can get the 3-course meal that includes appetizer, main and dessert or a la carte. Neither of us are big eaters and full course is pricey, so we opted for just appetizers and main meal. Though I bet the chocolate fondue is really fun! You get lots of choices regarding protein and sauces, vegetables seem standard. We decided to order only one appetizer and one main adult entree to split between us. So glad we did because they give you so much food! We got a mix of shrimp, chicken and mushroom ravioli, which came with broccoli and potatoes, as well as a cheddar cheese appetizer which included two kinds of bread (pretzel and French) and veggies and fruit. It's hard to be patient when you're a kid-- or with a kid--so we kept checking to see if the fondue had melted enough yet. Finally, it was time! You put a piece of food on a skewer and lay it in the fondue. You time it using an app where you choose the type of food. Each person can choose their own color in the app. I think the app could be improved (and help pass the time) by allowing guests to personalize, adding their name, an avatar, etc. Also note that skewers have a different colored band for each person. We didn't notice until the end of the meal, after we'd eaten each other's food multiple times. All in all, decent food and a very fun experience.

I ate here with my boyfriend the first time and we were satisfied with the service. We ordered the 4-course meal from cheese fondue, salad, entree and dessert fondue. The server was very considerate, polite and knowledgable. The kitchen manager was very professional as he offered to give me half portion of dark chocolate fondue because the flambe was not to my liking. Thank you for that:)

Dessert is always our favorite!

Super fun place! We've been here for a date night and recently brought our teen to have some fun. She loved it! Neat experience!

My partner and I came here to celebrate my birthday, it was an amazing experience from the start, our waiter Stephen was very attentive and helpful with the menu, he also was generous enough to take a few pictures of us. They spread petals all over our booth and gift me a bear with a ballon and a complementary Caramel Cheesecake that it was delicious. We order the Complete Experience and every single thing was outstanding. The place is impeccable, dazzling and has a very mood vibe which I like, the fire place reflection on the ceiling is chef kiss.

This place really exceeded my expectations. I came here for my birthday dinner. My boyfriend order some special package that came with rose petals on the table and a picture. We order the 4 course meal. It was so much food. We got a cheese fondue to start. We then selected a salad and choose our meat dishes and our style of cooking them. Lastly we had dessert which was my favorite. We got a plate filled with poundcake, strawberries and other sweet goodies to dip in chocolate. The staff here was really nice and our server was very attentive and explained how everything worked before we ordered. The total bill was about $150 but for a special occasion I felt like it was worth it. The only issue we had was finding parking. We came late enough where we could park on the street close by and not have to pay. I'm looking forward to visiting again.

Alpine Cheese

I really enjoyed my time at the Melting Pot in Bethlehem, PA. My server was Kaitlyn and she was fantastic. I went for the 4-course Endless Premium Entree, which included filet mignon, teriyaki steak, mushroom ravioli, shrimp, dry rubbed pork, and herb crusted chicken. This 4 course included cheese, salad, entree, and chocolate for $65. I got the Alpine cheese, with extra garlic, and a touch of green goddess added. It was delicious! The cheese was accompanied by a nice sized charcuterie board full of breads, veggies, and apples. The pretzel bread is my favorite, so I opted for an extra bowl of that. Next came my Caesar salad. Everything was fresh and crisp. Of course my favorite part of this salad is the candied pine nuts! Next came the entree. Since the entree was endless, I opted to remove the chicken and to double up on the filet mignon. Everything was so fresh. The meat was red and I enjoyed every bite. I took a refill of the shrimp and the filet to capitalize on the endless entree. I paired the shrimp with their amazing cocktail sauce, which I have learned is not available at every Melting Pot location. I used the teriyaki sauce for pretty much all of the meats! I even dipped the mushroom ravioli in it. That sauce is so versatile!! For the veggies, I opted for a bowl of mushrooms, and passed on the potatoes and broccoli that usually come with it. Of course, I stuffed those mushroom caps w/ the green goddess sauce. And happy to report that I received whole mushroom caps, not mushroom caps cut up into 4s like I did at the Melting Pot in Red Bank! All of the dipper plates were plentiful and refills on everything were accommodated. This had the look and feel of a $65 meal. Lastly, I went for a traditional milk chocolate with peanut butter for my dessert. Again, I received a dessert dippers boat that was very full. I asked for extra rice krispy treats since those are my favorites. The waffles are also really good, and really tasted awesome with the chocolate peanut butter combo! Overall, it was an amazing experience and I will certainly be back!

Overall, the bill wasn't too expensive either. However, the ambience is majorly lacking for how cool the historical building looks from outside. That was a big let down after years of seeing this in passing. It feels too much like a 90s coffee shop from Friends / a poorly converted modern bank lobby with the lighting, and the floor layout lacks flow if you're sitting at the bar. It would be an improvement to see historic qualities restored to the interior, rather than bland sheet rocking, no crown molding, etc. Aside from this, we found the music to be a very distracting and random selection of early 2000s dance, pop, EDM, emo, and rock, mixed with the occasional alt rock hit that was (finally) tolerable enough to fade into the background. The room is vacuous because of the high ceilings and hard building materials, so turning the volume down a little and choosing something consistent in tone (perhaps neo soul or just sticking to alt rock) would be beneficial for the overall atmosphere. Bottom line: would return again for the food, but the atmosphere wasn't what we expected and could be improved for a cozier, vintage styled atmosphere (but that's mostly a matter of preference). Friendly service, affordable prices, and good eats go a long way.

Great service, great food…read more The person who booked our dinner reservations did not know this was a cigar bar so we were a bit shocked walking in, but we were seated downstairs at the farthest away table so we thankfully didn't smell much smoke. Service was great, our waitress was very attentive and friendly. For apps we did the pirogies which were some of the best I've ever had, the red wine sauce was amazing!, as well as the shoulder lean which was good. For an entree, I did the Jimmy Pesto wrap. Good flavor and massive portion, but the chicken was very dry. Husband got the What's the Dilla, which was great and again a massive portion. We also enjoyed most our cocktails.

However, the overall experience was disappointing due to slow service, lack of communication, and issues with the food. We visited after the Lehigh Graduate Commencement Ceremony and were seated from 1:30-3:00 PM. Our server, Younise, only checked on us roughly every 15 minutes. It then took 45 minutes for pretzels and another 30 minutes for our 2 entrees. While we overheard that the kitchen was behind, this was never communicated to us directly, which made the long wait more frustrating. There was also an issue with my order. I ordered the Caesar salad wrap (Julius' Chicken Dance $14), but I was brought a Caesar salad with chicken ($3 up-charge) instead. The server did not offer to have the kitchen correct it or provide an alternative. After discussing it, I eventually asked if she could bring me a tortilla so I could make the wrap myself. A 15% discount was applied, which I appreciated, but the bill still listed the incorrect meal and reflected the higher-priced salad instead of the wrap I originally ordered. The burger was also underwhelming, as the cheese was not melted. For a meal that came to over $60 for pretzels, a burger, a salad item, and one drink, I expected better communication, food quality, and customer service. The ambiance was great, but the entrees and service unfortunately did not match the setting

First time I visited was for lunch. As soon as I saw the menu, I knew I needed to order the Wild Scotch Egg (difficult to find). I also had the half portion of Fish and Chips. The Wild Scotch Egg consisted of hard boiled egg and sausage, which was panko fried, sitting on Guinness fondue and crisp arugula, topped with Parmesan crisps. I really enjoyed this. The outer breading was light and satisfyingly crispy, while the egg and sausage interior was expertly cooked, tender and well seasoned. Cheesy fondue sauce was rich and creamy. Parmesan crisp was a nice, tasty touch. The beer battered Fish and Chips were also yummy. Fish was succulent, perfectly flaky and flavorful, while the Steak Fries were wonderfully crunchy, full of true potato taste. I knew I needed to return in order to try the Sticky Toffee Pudding, one of my all time favorite desserts. This was served warm, with Earl Grey tea date sponge cake, paired with sweet sticky toffee sauce and clotted cream. So deliciously mouthwatering and decadent! Service was good. The waiter was warm and easy to talk with. Everything came out in a timely manner. Prices were quite reasonable. I'm glad I came across this place to have my fill of some British classics!
