    Prime rib and lobster tail
    George N.

Let me start by saying Carol was an absolute gem. From the moment we walked in she was so kind and welcoming. She knew exactly what my brother and his wife (who are regulars) wanted to eat and drink. Ambience was super warm and cozy. The food was very fairly priced (I left thinking we should have spent more). Portions were massive. I got lobster tail and prime rib which was cooked to perfection. All main dishes come with sides. Their desserts are all house-made and so rich and flavorful. One slice of cheesecake fed 3-4 people. Also, they change some items on their menu with the season (so when we went in the fall, they had pumpkin flavored dishes). Overall an excellent experience! Highly recommend if you are in the area.

8oz Filet and an 8oz Lobster Tail

Took my wife to a special Valentines Day dinner at the Springtown Inn. The restaurant is a beautifully appointed old stone house. We were seated n front of the stone fireplace which was very cozy. First we ordered drinks which came quickly. My Manhattan was one of the best I've had in awhile. We ordered a couple of appetizers; crab meat cocktail and a pistachio salad which we both shared. The crab meat was a nice size and very juicy and tender. The salad was delicious as well. Then we both ordered the surf and turf. 8oz lobster tail and a 8oz filet. Both were absolutely delicious. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. We wanted to try one of the homemade desserts but were completely stuffed. We will be back very soon.

    Chicken Parmesan - breaded chicken cutlet/preserved tomato/pomodoro/mozzarella/Parmesan/tagliatelle

Stopped in for a late dinner on a weeknight coming back from the Lehigh Valley. There was plenty of parking and the place looks great from the outside. The inside was beautiful, very homely and nicely decorated. The hostess was also my server and part of management. She seemed overwhelmed from the start of my visit, which is understandable anymore with staff shortages and coming off of the pandemic. The menu had some great choices and my eyes went right to their prime rib, only to find out they were all out of it. Seems to be what they are known for so I felt like I had to settle for something else. I ordered a blood orange old fashioned to start things off. When I received it I noticed it had regular oranges and no maraschino cherry. I hate to be picky and petty, but for $9 it really wasn't a great drink and the menu clearly called it a blood orange old fashioned with - bourbon, blood orange bitters, blood orange and maraschino cherry. I didn't complain and drank it anyway. For an appetizer I went with the Spring Roll du jour at $11 for two rolls. That days chef choice was a darkened meat with a blue cheese sauce on the side. The rolls were a decent size, but inside they were pretty empty. The side sauce was tasty. Dinner wise I chose the recommended Chicken Parmesan - breaded chicken cutlet/preserved tomato pomodoro/mozzarella/parmesan over a homemade tagliatelle at $23. I can't say anything bad about it, but nothing great about it. The portion was decent. I can't say I was wowed by my experience here, I'll be honest I didn't feel like I got my money's worth. The hostess/server was nice, but seemed distant and distracted. I'm sympathetic to a lot and I'm not trying to be judgmental. A lot of places are trying to do more with less to help the burden of rising expenses and lack of labor. It's a tough reality. If I was around and knew they had their prime rib, I would return. The bathroom was a bit dated, but clean. I laughed at the vintage condom machine they left on the wall. The outside deck looked like a great date night spot.

One of the great wedge salads.

First of all they treat everyone like they're locals. Very nice staff here. Decent selection of tap beer. Food is excellent. Very cool place. Prime rib great but a bit towards medium well. Had steak tips special that was outstanding. One of the great wedge salads too.

Cherry cheese and peanut butter pie

From start to finish Springtown inn was a great experience. Visited for Valentine's Day 2/14/20 every course was magnificent. We had the prime rib queen cut which is massive by the way and the twin sweetheart lobster tails stuffed with crabmeat. Both of them were cooked to perfection. Even though I couldn't finish my meal I still proceeded onto a dessert. We got the peanut butter pie and the cherry cheese pie. Both servings again were very large can't say enough on how great it was. This place is great from the pleasant staff (especially our server who was very personable) the beautiful historical building all the way to the decor and ambiance of the restaurant . Highly recommend to anyone!

Our waitress was wonderful and I wish I could have remembered her name. She was engaging, informative and provided professional, friendly service. It was Summer restaurant week but we opted for à la carte and ordered from the appetizer and sandwich sections. I opted for the Blacked Chicken Quesadillas. The chicken was so juicy and flavorful and complicated all the other normal quesadilla ingredients. We shared the perfectly GBD fried cauliflower and opted for the buffalo sauce. Great choice. My niece chose the Roasted Turkey & Brie sans the bacon. She said they use real oven roasted turkey and not deli slices and enjoyed it immensely. We both took half our orders to go. I would definitely return when we are in town because I saw several other menu options I want to try.

Then I had the PB dessert but it was WAY TOO PB AND CHOCOLATEY so if u don't want too much then I don't recommend but it is also delectable. And then the next time I had the cheesecake with caramel on the side and whipped cream (the whipped cream seemed to be made in house) the sauce and cheesecake and caramel sauce are very soft and easy eating and going down, highly recommend if u want something not too overbearing. I also had the bourbon bbq wings which r also really good but don't expect anything crazy with them as they don't seem excessively flavored with artificial flavorings. The ambiance is awesome too, more specially the back, corner spot next to "Stacy's Mom" bathroom is a great spot to sit.

La Maya did not disappoint! The ambience is dimly lit, and perfect for a romantic dinner. On the cocktails side, I tried "Señor Sal" - a dirty martini / Vesper riff featuring their proprietary gin and vodka, dry vermouth, pickled jalapeño, olive brine, and lemon infused olive oil. It was a visually attractive, delicious, and sturdy cocktail. Just what the doctor ordered! Later I tried the house margarita. It was balanced and refreshing. There are options to add flavorings to the house margarita spec for +$2 (e.g., Matcha Coconut, Spicy, Guava Mint, Caramelized Pineapple). My dinner companion tried the caramelized pineapple and loved it. On the culinary side, the guacamole was fresh and flavorful. For an entree, I selected the Carne Nortena - a tequila-marinated ribeye with sauteed scallions, shisito peppers. The steak was cooked perfectly to temperature (medium-rare) and amazingly juicy. The roasted sweet potato wedges (Camote) were also outstanding. Don't forget dessert - the coconut flan was to die for! Service - I believe our server's name was Alex, was on-point. On the sweet side they have house-made baked goods, ice cream, sundaes, banana splits and milkshakes. My son and I stuck with breakfast. I had coffee and "The Shirley Special" - 2 eggs, 1 slice bacon, 1 slice thick French toast, breakfast potatoes $9.50. My son had a Turkey Hill chocolate milk, two eggs and a bagel. The Shirley was a good portion for the price. Everything was fresh and came out quick. My only nitpick was the bagel with my sons meal. It was a plain jane supermarket type of bagel. A place like this needs to serve some fresh local bagels! The coffee was a simple and tasty black roasted blend. Breakfast for two at $20 wasn't bad. When my friend asked for another steak, they brought her a new one that was completely raw in the center. It's clear to me. They don't know how to cook according to temperature. The pan sear deck duck breast was not cooked to perfection either. In between each course, we had to keep asking for silverware because they served us food with no silverware. You should never have to ask in a restaurant of this magnitude to be given silverware with your meal. When we got there, I had brought in a cake for dessert and the guy at the hostess stand said let me take that for you and bring it to the table. I said no it's a surprise.
