    Chicken Cheesesteak
    Will B.

The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Beautiful atmosphere, with it's easily accessible location and very charming interior decor. I didn't get a cocktail but the options looked absolutely fantastic and if I'm ever in the area again, I will be trying one of them! The food also came really quickly, and the waitress was very kind and friendly. Overall, not a bad thing to say about it!

The start of my DM to Beckers on FB.
    Jen F.

I forgot to leave this review back in September when this happened, but because of the issue explained below, I will never go back. The quality of their food has gone completely downhill and for how much they charge for their food should be a crime. The customer service that I received, or lack thereof was completely astonishing. I not only emailed the owners and received no response, I messaged them through Facebook too. I even had to tag them in some of their posts asking them to read my DM. And you could see that they read my message. They NEVER even took the time to respond. Not even a lousy "sorry, we will do our best in the future". I used to tell so many people about how cool this place WAS. Going forward however, for not even responding to my issue, I will never recommend this restaurant or go back myself. How disappointing. It USED to be a hidden gem in our area. But to ignore a customer as blatantly as they did, I will never waste my money there again and I hope whoever is reading this won't either. Go further up the road to the Tohickon Tavern in Ottsville or go to JT Bankers in Sellersville. Or for really decent food, hit up the Proper Brewery in Quakertown. I have never been let down in any of those establishments.

    The chicken and Broccoli Alfredo.
    Carlos E.

The chicken and broccoli Alfredo was the best Alfredo I've ever had. Better then how I make it and that's something that shocked me. One bite was like an explosion of flavor. It had that creamy, it had that good Ferrucci spaghetti, and the chicken was cooked perfectly and the broccoli was soft. I'll rate the chicken Alfredo a 8/10. Recommend it 100%.

The inside was clean with plenty of table seating, a small square bar and some high top tables. The inside was a little dated but still charming for an old inn. Our server was prompt, friendly and wasn't afraid to make some suggestions. Their menu is Italian so you have chicken, fish, pork and veal dishes with pasta. They also include a bar menu for sandwiches and pizza. I noticed a lot of people coming in for pizza so I ordered a small personal. My oldest ordered a cheeseburger and my wife the Chicken Marsala. They started us off with some warm bread. Drink wise they have a full bar. I had a Stillwater IPA on draft, my wife enjoyed their cucumber martini (she recommends it) and my son was loving their hot chocolate. The pizza was thin, cheese and sauce ratio just right, cheese little sweet and not too stringy. Sauce was a little sweet and seasoned. I'd say it was above average. My wife enjoyed the Chicken Marsala. It was a big portion, so be prepared for leftovers. The burger was decent, but nothing special. My wife ordered potato's for one side and asked for the spinach as a second. The spinach had some heat from red pepper flakes that I was digging. My wife could have done without it. They had an acoustic guitar player in the bar area who was playing some good tunes. We will repeat when we are in the area and I'll dive deeper into their Italian grub. Thanks guys!

On Route 611 in Ottsville, PA, this suds house has been pulling draft beer handles for a long time, with variety enough to keep most beer aficionados quite content. And, if those kegs aren't sufficient, the long wall of available takeout brews is yet another plentiful option. You really can't go wrong. Walking in people were standing all around the barroom, while NASCAR blared from the two high up HDTVs. I took the stool near the end of the long bar, and was immediately greeted by the owner, who worked the entire room with assistance from a long white haired dude who seemed to know everything about the joint (He might be an owner, too). He recommended their roast pork sandwich, as he tapped the white board where it was described. I was more in the mood for a burger, and had heard that their onion soup was worth the price of admission. He grinned and said the Bistro Burger was his creation and I would love it, too. Okay then. Let's do a cup of the Onion Soup and a medium grilled Bistro Burger (aioli mayo, jalapeños, lettuce, tomato and cheese). Apple Crisp Cider for the washdown. The house hummed as I waited for the grub. People clearly knew each other, and treated the tavern as their clubhouse. It was fun just to watch and listen. Good people all around. And, the soup and burger were on the high end of bar cuisine. The Onion Soup was covered with melted Gruyère; underneath was a still hot and steaming savory beef broth with soft onions and chunks of dark bread. Had to let each spoonful cool a minute before putting mouthward. Very good! The Bistro Baby was a half pounder on a large bun, loaded up with all the fixings mentioned above, with the right amount of heat from the 'penos, and at the exact medium pink finish. Had to press it all down to fit in mi boca. Sure glad they handed me a bunch of napkins, because it was a bit messy consumption. Excellent burger! Need 3 napkins to get through. The thirty minute drive from Central to Northern Bucks to reach Tohickon Tavern was well worth the time and energy. The Cons: The service was horrific. If we hadn't already purchased tickets (no refunds...) We would have been long gone from there. The owner is totally missing the boat here. Granted the place is in the middle of nowhere but it's got SO much potential. We went for a music event (outside - Artie's "Summer Stage"). While we waited at the inside bar for the event to start (45 minutes late) we tried to get drinks, but couldn't get a drink to save our lives. The place was half empty, and there were two bartenders but they completely ignored us. Like puposely and specifically didn't make eye contact. We waited at the bar for 10-15 minutes without a drink while the bartenders chatted with (I'm asumming) the local regulars, cleaned and checked their phones. Crazy. Once outside the seating (iron tables and chairs) were pretty rusty and really hard. The outside was generally a little rundown, though the stage and the sound system were newer and nice. The outside bartender was more attentive, but the servcie was still bad. BAD bad. Only one bartender at the outside bar was simply not enough. And she had to keep going inside to get supplies, drinks, etc. So if you ordered a wine (my wife...) the bartender would dissapear inside for like five minutes, then come back with a glass of wine. There was a single waitress outside for about 20 tables - drinks and food - also not enough. We easily would have had 2x the drinks and food we had if the service was better. Also we got the same round of drinks each time, but were charged different amounts each round. Random amounts. Not sure I would go back unless it was an event i REALLY wanted to see. I would definitely eat first and not plan on drinking, The experience was was frustrating. Such a shame, this really could be an awesome place.
