Turkey, pepper jack, add avocado
Michelle W.

All around bad experience. The woman who took our order was sick and spoke very quietly so she was difficult to understand. There was a man making the sandwiches so I hoped my order would be safe. She ended up helping with the sandwiches but wore gloves so I felt better. Chip options were very minimal and they had no other sides. Not sure if the tables were stained or dirty. Excited to get our sandwiches as the reviews are really good. Sandwiches were loaded with meat but the meat was VERY cheap. Ended up removing half the meat as is did not taste good. The bead was good but soggy. Loved the avocado I added but that's about the only thing I did like. I do not recommend this place as there are much better sandwich places with 2 miles that use quality meats.

Small

Kind of a weird place. The cashier was the first problem, not saying hello or explaining the menu to a first timer. The rest of the decor in the place is quite dated. But, as for the food, the small sandwich was huge, but something just didn't taste right. It looked like fresh meat, but there was way too much and it didn't taste that great. Whoever was making the sandwich still thinks it's 2020 in full covid gear. Must be a locals only place, not for me.

Was out visiting in Apache Junction and came across The Meat Slicer. Just from looking at photos and reading about it, I had to try and I was not disappointed. This massive mammoth of a sandwich came loaded up with Ham, Turkey, Roast Beef, Pastrami, Cheddar, Swiss, Provolone, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Mayo and Mustard (*catching my breath). Slapped it in between some French Bread and unhinged the jaw for this epic mess of deliciousness. Not that you can't whip these up at home, Meat Slicer puts the deli touch in it. If you're ever in the town of AJ, give 'em a go. Cheers.

Great sandwich! You can tell the meat (and all ingredients really) is top quality. But, I had to take off one star because of one factor. Now, I don't know if it is because I'm from California, or that I have a pre-existing condition that makes me super cautious during this pandemic, but it was super jarring to see my food get made by someone not wearing a mask. At first, I was trying to accept it...the fact that the young lady who took our order was not wearing a mask was not too bad because the guy in the kitchen had did have one on, and I thought: "that's what matters, right?" But, then, the young lady ended up helping him make our food. And she had her hair down as well, which matters just as much to me because loose hair is super gross to me. We still ate our food and it seemed to be well made and clean. But, 'twas an interesting experience for sure. It's like my boyfriend says, there are many kitchens that prepare our food we don't even get a chance to see, so what are you gonna do?!

Turkey, bacon, avocado large sub
Rhiannon H.

found this place on Yelp, decided to give it a try. Came up as "most reviewed" for Apache Junction. A one man show, the service was kind and quick. I ordered the Turkey, Bacon, Avocado large sub. I could finish 1/2 of it & took the rest to go. The sandwiches are stacked tall, no matter how big your face is, it will be a struggle to fit the height of the sandwich in your mouth. The bacon was crisp and tasty. Avocado fresh. The bread was soft & did not fall apart. Good price for the portion size. Large subs come with a small bag of chips. Inside is extremely casual, not very busy and not many seating options. There is a small fee for credit transactions.

Order counter and table.

We ordered three sandwiches for work. The sandwiches are huge. They could've easily fed six people.

Simple Bad-da Bad-da Boom done! Simple try it. Parking 5/5 Arrived a few minutes before our 6pm reservation and our hostess found and confirmed our Yelp reservations. She brought us to our table. Ambiance 5/5 Thats correct not atmosphere here it's 100% ambiance. Subdued lighting, table candlelight's, Service 10/5 Alyssa was our server tonight. Very friendly and welcoming. She had in depth knowledge the menu, specials, wines and pairings, and Sprites. She timed our courses perfectly which allowed us to enjoy starters, Salado which is a detail lost on many Resturant's today. The kitchen was magnifico tonight. Thank-you guys! Alyssa was all that and more, this is what table service should be like. Great job we will be asking for you again. Food 10/5 We ordered the zucchini which were served in a nice and little crisp batter. They were great. We ordered a salad which was large enough for sharing. The dressing was the perfect paring for all the wonderful ingredients. Entrees included an order of Egg plant parmigiana over pasta. Portions are generous. My entree was tonight's special, prime rib ragu also a generous portion. The prime rib was nicely incorporated in their linguine style pasta and with other fresh vegetables in a hearty an slightly sweet sauce like my own. This was a perfect recommendation by Alyssa thank- you I'd order this again. Desert was a large serving of crème brûlée. The topping was perfectly toasted giving it its crispy texture and smoky notes. Looking for an Italian date night or cozy chill and classy place to finish your day on a good note, Sam & Luca's Italian Bistro won't disappoint. Servizio come dovrebbe essere, cibo fantastico in un'atmosfera che si stabilizza. Magnifico! Eat well my friends-SYOY!

The new bill did have a 4% discount for cash subtracted to the bill but when I got home I saw that they ADDED 3.5% back for the service charge. I called and was told the SERVICE CHARGE was to pay for the employees sick time & other costs. This is outrageous and reminds me of the feces that went on during covid and the practices that came from California, I will never go back and I will warn all of this policy.

Both were made to perfection. Great flavor and so tender. A perfect start to the dinner. We had the Caprese and Caesar Salad next. Both had solid flavors, but the Caesar was our favorite. What a treat. Exactly what I'm looking for in a Caesar salad. So good! The pesto on the Caprese was house made and so tasty. I want to try a pesto dish next time. My wife had the Sacchetti Porcini with truffle and it was light and perfectly balanced flavor. The pillows melted in your mouth. Will definitely have again. The Lobster Ravioli had a well balanced limoncello flavor and not too creamy. Cool striped pasta. Perfect for those not super hungry but wanting a unique dish that is sure to please. Steak Nicola was was cooked to perfection and had a suburb combination of black truffle, aus jus and prosciutto cotto to make it a memorable dish. I'm still craving it the day after. The cannelloni for dessert was perfectly Italian with awesome flavors. A perfectly compliment to an amazing dinner. This is a gem is Chandler!!!
