    Scallops cooked to perfection

If you're looking for fine dining in Walla Walla, The Marc inside the old Marcus Whitman Hotel can't be beat. The chef prepares meals with the best ingredients appropriate for the season in which the food is prepared. Presentation is always beautiful and the timing of each course is perfect. We love the ambiance of this classic hotel that follows through to the dining room and bar. This most recent visit we found the waitress a bit too attentive to the degree of interruption. This is probably the expectation from management so I don't fault the staff. Reservations are recommended.

Chioppino no garnish, more chunky and less brothy.

Service while friendly, was painfully slow. A table near us waited an hour and a half and left before eating their entree. One person in our party ordered the Whitman old fashion and found the walnut bitters to be too strong and didn't finish, when asked if he wanted a different cocktail, the server gave the impression that the one he didn't like would get comped, but it was not. Two of us ordered the prod fix menu, both had verde chiopino but they were both very different dishes. On was more brothy and had a beautiful garnish, the other was less soupy and more sauce like. See photos .. The short rib, while tasty was barely warm. The rhubarb pie with basil ice cream was the was lovely, the flavors went well together. One person in our party had the gnocchi, which when served, the person serving said it was with, pancetta, but the menu said guanciale, so we were confused what was really in the dish. Unfortunately when the server was clearing the table of dinner dishes, she spilled something on someone in our party's foot/shoe! Overall the experience was very much not worth the price point. The inconsistency with the service and the food, was very disappointing.

The Prawns, I cannot say enough about how Amazing they are!!

What a Gem!! Atmosphere was great, the service was amazing. Very attentive wait staff. But for the food, we had a starter of Prawns and OMG they were out of this world!! Also a spinach salad which every bite was perfectly balanced with dressing, strawberries, cheese. I had the Tri Tip which was cooked perfectly medium and seasoned wonderfully. My husband had the Bolognese and I believe it's best bolognese we've ever had!! The craft cocktails my husband really enjoyed as I enjoyed the sparkling wine. The flavors of everything were top notch!!

    Buttermilk Cured Half - Chicken

I am shocked this is only ranked 3.7. We had an amazing dinner @ The Marc tonight - the innovative menu, the food itself, the presentation, the tastes and the service -- all superb. Albacore Tuna Crudo, Beetroot & Citrus starter, Buttermilk Cured Half Chicken. All excellent. And Ryland, our waiter, was very knowledgeable about the menu and the preparations and took the time to engage with us and answer our questions. Highly recommend!

I sat at the bar as is was pretty wide open on a Wednesday night. I noted they had Gramercy Cellars Pinot Noir on the menu and, generally, I'm not a huge fan on Pinot's, but Gramercy Cellars just does it right. I wasn't too hungry so I opted for the 1/2 dozen oysters (lovely Kumamotos) and the market fish special (Petrole Sole). First the oysters were fresh, and briny. I did enjoy it a spritz of lemon and the mignonette. But the real star of the night was that Petrole Sole swimming in that brown butter sauce! It was divine!!! I *almost* licked my plate clean, but I composed myself... I did end the night with the Mousse au Chocolat, it was just a bit too sweet for me, however chantilly creme helped tone the mousse down). I don't know what took me so long to visit Brasserie Four, but I'm glad I did and I will be back on my next visit to Walla Walla!

What can I say, this was amazing! Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly. We started with KPop…read morechicken as an appetizer and it was juiciey and soo full of flavor. Our meals took some time to come out however we were forewarned. With a scratch kitchen, it's to be expected. I had the Black Cod, moist, flavorful and the favorite of the table. My husband had the Halibut (can't remember the name of the dish) and also perfectly cooked and full of flavor, the sticky rice and sauce really hit the spot. Our friends had the pork cheeks and quadrill, both dishes full of flavor and the meet cooked perfect, juicy and the sauce was an excellent compliment each individual meal. The potato's with the quadril had a nice garlic hint! The portions were filling and we didn't leave anything behind. Friendly staff, clean atmosphere, and great drink options, we will be back! We didn't give 5 stars as even though there was a warning, the timing between the delivery of each plate could have been closer and while our kiddos are foodies, there wasn't a whole lot for them to pick from that we could consider "safe" choices. They ordered the japache and while we adults loved the glass noodles, they felt like it was a little too slimy and the bean sprouts were definitely strong in flavor. The dish itself was well put together and the kiddos devoured the chicken and veggies in the meal.
