I go here every time I visit Walla Walla. The wine maker/owner is great. He is very friendly and quite the host. Ifykyk. Lol

El Corazon Winery has a different vibe than the other wineries and tasting rooms in Walla Walla - and that's what I like about El Corazon. It really has that Capitol Hill Seattle dive bar scene to it, which is something you will not find around these parts. We visited El Corazon as it was recommended by a local. When we visited it was half an hour before closing, so the employee told us that we could only get a bottle or glass AKA no tastings, which was totally fine with us. The four of us shared a bottle of the Pistolero, which was a red blend. The wine was solid. It was a drinkable red wine, with fruit forward notes and somewhat silky, from the malbec, merlot and cab sauv mix. It wasn't the best wine we had while in town, but it was good. And again, what I like about El Corazon is that it's incredibly chill, laidback and one of those places that don't allow snobs or name-droppers here, which I'm 100% cool with. With that said, if you're in downtown Walla Walla and in search of a spot that's not at all pretentious like some spots around town, then this is it.

Warning: porn videos are played on the main wall of the tasting room... Porn isn't my thing and what I saw at the tasting room on the night we visited (short splices of one straight, one lesbian porn) gave me nightmares the night we'd visited this tasting room. Honestly, I tried not to look over but it was like a car wreck. I was also confused about some scenes and trying to figure out what was going on (I learned you don't actually need a plot in porn). Guess I gotta get out more. Past the porn, the staff (esp the gal from Portland) was really great and a lot friendlier and more fun than any of the other pourers we'd experienced that weekend. I found a ton of randomly weird things to hold my attention (tear it away from the wall-o-porn), and being that I am the poster child for "Squirrel!" or "Look! Something shiny!" that's saying a lot. The artwork throughout was very controversial, but I dug it. Like the Luche Libre mask, which I just had to put on and pose in while holding a taxidermied badger. There was also a painting of a woman in a burka next to a naked woman (culture differences I suppose). Weird, but very interesting. We tasted the 2016 V-Neck Viognier (white), 2014 With Love Syrah, 2014 ViniVidiVici (Mourvedre, Cinsault & Syrah) and the 2015 Swordfight, El Corazon (a Syrah/Mourverde blend). Unfortunately, I found their wines to be a bit thick. My friend, who is more knowledgeable about wines referred to them as "gummy". At the end of the night, this being our last stop, I refrained from the remaining heavy pours, because I could foresee these wines giving me a bit of a hangover. In the end, they did not. For me, this is a place you go once, for shock value. Unlike the other wineries, there is a lot more going on here than just the wine, so if you like the Portland Hawthorne scene or strip clubs and porn, this would be your normal scene.

In Walla Walla for the weekend, has previously read reviews but didn't think about stopping here. We ended up here on accident on the way to another place. Yes it's risqué..there's adult themed pictures, coloring books and movies on the wall (anything you can find on Netflix). Great place, the tasting room manager was incredibly personable. Wine was decent, music playing. Quirky, cool place. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because it was so cold however red wine warms you up! We will be back.

This is all about the experience and nothing about the wine. It is a shady place to be honest but has a lot of character. The front of the winery looks reasonable but then there is a felt curtain covering the back where the actual bar is. Makes it feel like you are walking into a peep show. You get large pours if you like the wine so that's positive. And the server was very nice and friendly (one of the saving graces). This "winery" is about the shock value and trying to be different in a sea of wineries. If you like Naked Winery this is the place for you. It's a slightly more scandalous version. They have soft core porn on the wall playing all the time. We came for memories and left with plenty plus a free show. It is the dive bar of wineries in Walla Walla. It's the finger to the wine man!

Came for a good time not a long time. We were told to come for Spencer but ended up watching some soft core porn being projected on the wall. Can't say I was expecting to end out wine tasting experience at this joint but also can't say I'm disappointed. Wine is alright, not great but not bad. Vibe is cool.

This place was recommended to us. J'me's coworker had been to it prior and told us that we had to go here! So after brunch, we went looking for El Corazon. Walking into the place, you already know it's not your typical wine tasting room. I would dub it more on the eccentric end. I like eccentric. There were people at the counter, so we opted to have our tasting sitting on the couch near the front entrance. The guy manning the bar would pay us a visit frequently enough. I am not the biggest on drinking wines, but my friend J'me really enjoyed it and bought a $50 bottle. They served us goldfish to clean our pallets. No white wines on the tasting menu, but when my other gf asked if they had any whites, he let us try an unmarked bottle he had in the back. It turned out to be pretty good! I really enjoyed the decor of the place. The taxidermy squirrel with the sombrero and the stuffed elephant were my fave. The baby pictures on the wall might have been a little too out there for me lol. But definitely check this place out for a different experience, I will have to come back!

We drink wine, we play dice, what more could you ask for? Oh yeah great music, and a huge tv.

AKA Hotel California. How great is this place? I'll tell you, what are ridiculously unique experience, we had snacks, EDM music, and pulp fiction in the background. What the hell. Tasting room reinvented. Sally was a true guide. Knows her wines, and keeps you entertained. I enjoy the limited hours, cause you get a full house and it adds to the vibe. If you're a stick in the mud don't come here you'll hate it. If you're young, fun, and ready to let it all hang out, then stop by. It's an unexpected way truly wine.

Unique winery with a non-pretentious attitude. Welcoming and open. Wine was decent but I loved the goldfish with the tasting :p! Will be back!

Spencer and the folks at El Corazon are on to something. They make good wine. They are young and willing to think outside the box. The tasting room is in the middle of renovation but I'm not concerned about that. Make good wine and I'll drink it in an alley for all I care. the winery is small, hip, and very good. Tiger's Blood, Supernova, First Crush, Red Frog, and With Love are all wonderful wines. Next time your in Walla Walla try them out. You'll be pleased. And say hi to Spencer for me.

Quick review here. We did a tasting here and while we didn't stay long, it was a good experience. Friendly and the wine was delicious.

As my husband and I opened the doors to the building, a hallway with an upwards ramp greeted us. To the right, views of a room full of barrels holding the wines we were about to savor. Straight ahead at the end of the "tunnel," a natural soft light gleamed through floor to ceiling windows. And this was on a cloudy day. We reached the room full of windows and it was instantly the most beautiful tasting room I'd ever seen. I was so happy to be seated in the comfy swivel chairs right next to the window. Although the sky was overcast, it was so pleasant to rest our eyes on the clouds grazing over the rolling hills of the valley. A worker asked if we would like a welcome taste of their sparkling rosé, and we happily obliged. It was delicious. Afterwards, I did the tasting with the lighter wines, while my husband did the tasting of the reds. Of course we both shared sips of everything. A different worker gave us wonderful background info and explanations of each wine we sampled. He even suggested that we try one of the wines at the temp it was given, then warm the glass with our hands for a bit to see how it tasted at that temperature. It was really neat to taste the difference. Another worker with a cool turquoise bolo tie checked in on us and refilled our glasses with water. We felt so wonderfully taken care of. Every wine was delightful, but a few stood out the most... I can't quite remember them all but I believe we really liked the Sauvignon Blanc, a Grenache, and a Cab Franc. We didn't plan on buying bottles that day, but we hope to maybe find them at a store near us. In the end, we absolutely loved our experience at Echolands and vowed we would return the next time we're in Walla Walla.
