Downtown Walla Walla has what seems like ten tasting rooms every block so it's hard to decide which one to walk into. I'd suggest giving this one a try as it not only has delicious wines, it's got a great story and fun experience. If you're a Twin Peaks/Kyle MacLachlan fan, you'll love this place. Kyle owns the winery and the tasting room staffer Stacey regaled us with fun stories about Kyle growing up in Yakima and his deep involvement with the project. If you're into bears, you will love this place. Is it weird to say that there is such a thing as tasteful bear decor? I think there is and this place has it! Huge bronze bear statue included. And oh yeah, the wines! They are lovely. It was a carefully chosen and fun tasting experience and I recommend!

The wine was great and the space downtown is a wonderful tasting room! Our pourer was amazing and very knowledgeable about the wines.

We went to this winery with a small group of six and had a great time!!! The service was top notch and the wines were excellent. Brand new winery. They even serve delicious sourdough crackers to cleanse the palate between wines. Looking forward to returning here soon.

Pursued by Bear Wines are are some of our favorite Walla Walla wines and we're thrilled that they have recently opened a tasting room in town. Kyle MacLachlan (of Twin Peaks, Portlandia, etc. fame) is the proprietor. His exquisite taste and tremendous talents are reflected in these wines. Amy was our "hostess" today. She is the winemaker at Abeja and her husband is the winemaker for Pursued by Bear. Amy clearly knows her wines, she is incredibly knowledgeable and absolutely delightful to speak speak with. We are excited to try her wines at a Abeja! The tasting room is quaint and decorated in a classy way with a hint of rustic decor. It's wam and inviting. The life size bronze bear is a wonderful centerpiece! They have a little gift shop area with wine glasses, wine key, coffee mug, water bottle, books, etc. They also sell the delicious crackers that they served us for our tasting. Amazing wines! Adorable tasting room.

My husband and I are in Walla Walla for the holiday weekend and had to stop by for a tasting at Pursued By Bear. We had heard about this tasting room/winery through instagram when the owner, Kyle MacLachlan, posted about it. Gwen and Stacy, our wine experts, were incredibly knowledgeable about the wines and you could sense how much they love their jobs. They also provided great recommendations for other Walla Walla activities and eateries. The tasting room is quaint and initimate, really ensuring all visitors get a fantastic 1:1 experience. We had a wonderful time and will absolutely be visiting again! Try the Rosè :)

Some of my favorite wines in the Columbia Valley (shoutout to Blushing Bear and the flagship Cab).

Tastings of a flight of 3 for $25 and waived with a 2 bottle purchase. The wines were Grenache 2024, Syrah Les Collins Vineyard 2022 and Resound 2022. We were able to try some other wines and bought 4. Definitely a place to come back to.

We are wine drinkers of 30 years, beginning in Italy and Oregon, and have been coming to Walla Walla for 20 years. View: 5 Tasting room/property: 5 - We had seats by the windows and appreciated the electric car chargers. Service: 4 - We love coming to Walla Walla because we often get to talk with the wine maker. This was definitely not the case here. However, our host Thea was very knowledgeable and engaging! Wine Quality: 3 - We had a white flight and a red flight. The varietals and descriptions sounded like they matched our taste perfectly, but with the extra pours 7 of 9 missed the mark. My husband even questioned if they used an odd detergent to wash their glasses. A vintner in town told us their wines are improving, so we might try again, except for the next category... Overall Impression: 2.5 - The owners are two men who live out of state. MINUS. The estate is managed organically and sustainably. PLUS. Honestly this is probably enough reason for us to not return because there are so many amazing locally owned wineries in WW with better wine.

The staff/owner, were incredibly friendly and made us feel truly welcome with her smile The ambience is modern and inviting perfect for enjoying a glass of wine. The restrooms were spotless and stylish, and a thoughtful touch was the dark chocolate in the women's restroom, which was a lovely surprise. I really enjoyed the overall tasting experience. The tasting menu included two reds and one white, all of which were excellent. The most surprising part came at the end, when we were ready to pay and the staff informed us that the tasting was complimentary. We were genuinely shocked and grateful, and we ended up purchasing two bottles.

The good - staff very nice-friendly and knowledgeable. Building and grounds are beautiful but it was too windy to sit outside. What was disappointing was they charge $65 per person per tasting. It's just 3 wines and the food while complimentary... they serve the same amount for one person that they do for 2-3. I mean if we have to pay $65 for each person, they should have individual plates for each person. I would have expected at least 5 wines and individual servings for the price. Not sure if we would come back again unless they changed their tastings and food service.
