Went for my friends 21st birthday. Made a reservation and they were not too busy when we went. Got the wine tasting and it was $30. We also got the chocolate to pair with the wines, if you reserve they get it prepared for you before you come. they also had complimentary popcorn with each wine. The outside and view was so pretty, it was in February so there was still some snow on the mountains. If you want to sit outside they do have a fire for each table and seating. The woman serving us was very nice and knowledgeable, especially for us younger people. most people are nicer to older patrons because of the money they'll bring in. Went here to wine taste and the views were beautiful. It's up on a hill and it just gives you a really great vantage point. They put us back on a big room, which a table that felt more like we were at a business meeting and was a little less intimate. The wines were okay, but not great. I did get the cheese pairs with the wine though and most of them were wonderful. We ended up going from here to the Walla Walla cheese store after this, because it was so good. The service was okay. We had quite a wait between the wines, which was a little bit of a bummer. Also, we were laughing and having a good time and they ended up shutting the doors on us. Which, I don't know, felt a little crappy. Lastly, the bathrooms. This isn't necessarily their fault, but they have gender neutral bathrooms and it's gross. I went in there after a man and he left the toilet seat up and there was urine all over the floor in front of the toilet and all over the rim. It was just really gross. read more

Went to this lovely spot for tasting. Beautiful day and beautiful view. The Semillon was nice but served room temp which was odd for a white and ruined the experience. The rose was acrid. All the reds had a very light bouquet. No matter how much we warmed and aerated, nose did not improve. Both Syrah and cab lacked depth. They do have a nice price point but there are much better wines in Walla Walla. read more

We went for the happy hour - at 5:30 on a Friday there was lots of seating on their beautiful outside deck. And it's rare that wineries are open on this time in the evening so plus one star for that too! The deal of two glasses of wine and a pizza for 24 bucks seems so good there is almost something wrong with it - especially when the pizza is wood fired and fresh and delicious and a nice size for two people to share (or one hungry person) and the wine is high quality and balanced. We had a great time at Amavi Cellars! Amavi always has great wines and the setting here in Walla Walla was picturesque. I recommend visiting Amavi Cellars in Walla Walla for the wine and views of the Blue Mountains. We visited Amavi Cellars on a Saturday afternoon and was able to be seated outside on the deck, which is the best seat in the house! There, you also have the option to use the fire pit at the table, which is a nice touch. The staff was the absolute sweetest people. They were very friendly, personable and offered to take photos of our group. All of us each had a glass of the cabernet sauvignon, which was fantastic. I like a bold glass of red wine and that's what you will find here at Amavi Cellars. You really can't go wrong here. Plus, they also do a wine and chocolate pairing! Amazing! I'm lucky that there's a Woodinville location of Amavi Cellars, so I can easily enjoy a glass of the cab sauv. Not a good wine tasting experience! First there was the bridesmaids party of 8 that were clearly inebriated, shouting, whooping & hollering in the tasting room. They were back in a very echoing private room, but without a door. And no one asked them to keep it down. If we had known, we would have gone outside but by the time we figured it out, it was too late. Then there was the staff member who decided I shouldn't use the tasting notes as I was tasting the wines. She ripped up my notes & told me I should just taste what I taste. Yikes! I like looking at the tasting notes. Sorry!! Beautiful view, nice wines, but the wine tasting experience is the reason people come back. And we'll never go back to Amavi again. read more

One thing you miss when you go to their woodinville location is the amazing atmosphere. The 180 degree views from the second story really give you a great view of the entire area. This is only helped by the large windows they have covering the entire side of the winery. The chairs outside are really comfortable and have nice herb gardens spacing them apart. They are even shaded too which makes them the ideal spot when you go to Amavi. The wine itself is pretty good as well and they have some reasonably priced snacks you can easily grab. We had a great tasting experience at the bar of Amani Cellars. We enjoyed the wine so much we took two bottles home (waiving both tasting fees). The bottles were reasonably priced and everything we tried was really good. Amavi has a great outdoor patio with views of the hills and vineyards which is lovely. It was one of the most crowded wineries we visited on our trip so we had far less individual attention than at other places. Their grounds are beautiful and the terrace and red truck are very instagram-able. ;) I thoroughly enjoyed the 2016 Syrah and purchased it on the spot. Shout-out to the lady with the dark blonde, short hair and glasses for offering a number of times to be the photographer and hype girl for our impromptu photoshoots on their deck. Seriously, it was a whole ordeal. We moved around all their deck furniture and was probably so loud from all of our "yassssss girl" admirations to eachother. So for that we apologize. The facility was nice - especially the outdoor deck. However - the atmosphere could have been better. First, there wasn't a ton of customers / tasters but I was asked to pre-pay for my tastings as soon as I walked in. I asked for two tastings but was only given one glass (the gentlemen seemed a bit overwhelmed and since he only charged me for one tasting - I didn't bother to ask for another glass). In terms of the wine, i would say average 3/5 stars. I tasted my wine from the deck while enjoying the view of Walla Walla. One thing I wish the deck had though was music to give the place some energy. I did see speakers outside thought but for that given day - they just weren't on. The best view in Walla Walla!!! Ahhh this place is like a little glass oasis. So pretty. You drive up to this stunning building in the middle of nowhere. Just to go into a building covered with glass. And I have a major love/crush/obsession with bright open spaces with glass. it was an instant lovefest!!! Came on a beautiful 100 degrees plus day. So hot, everything melts. But the views drew me outside anyway. Sip wine while gazing out into that green, mountainy background? Love it. Tasted three different wines. Semillon was white crisp and refreshing! Syrah~ peppery and 100% !Last but not least, Cabernet Sauvignon! The wine staff even let me tasted their ice wine that was not on the tasting. It was a sweet perfection. If I love sweet, I would go for that. But a sip was a enough for such a hot day. Overall, beautiful tasting experience. I sat outside the whole time! They came to check on me several times. Service was laid back and relaxed. The views however are magical!! It can clam anyone down. Even a sleepless toddler high on caffeine, eating ice cream that just got a new puppy! That's saying a lot!! Not saying bring your toddlers but you get the point. Can't wait to come back!! read more

Sue and I mainly came here because of the sleek and newish (apparently it has been around for 2.5 years) tasting room. We knew the wines were a bit out of our price range, but we wanted to come anyway. The tasting was $5 each, but we only had 3 different wines. All were priced at $29. The lady pouring was friendly, but we didn't end up buying anything. Beautiful space and I imagine it would be a bit more amazing if the sky was clear and the sun was shining. This was our first stop on our trip to Walla Walla for our anniversary. (Saturday @ 2pm.) The woman who poured our wine tasting was wonderful! The hostess, not so much. Not as polite or warm as she may think she is. She cheek-ily corrected me when I stated the wrong hour after she also made sure to tell us we have to rush through our reservation because we asked to be seated inside instead of outside on a cold and windy afternoon. We even arrived early. I understand the difficulties for space when my reservation was for outdoor, but there's a way to say things that isn't off-putting. Anyway, the woman who poured our wine was sweet and so we left with a bottle purchase, otherwise, we would have left without spending any more money than we already paid at the time of making the reservation. Hostess shouldn't be the first face and interaction of your business. read more
