While I don't blame Aquaholics for this, I blame the young man who sold it to us for not educating us about the possibilities because there is no way we would have taken a chance with our boy's life. But like I said, it was a 1 off incident and James, the owner of Aquaholics reached out personally to offer his condolences and help. He treated me like a grieving friend and I appreciate that from him. He has a wonderful shop and is a kind man.

We walked in and no greeting, pretty sure the guy didn't even look up from his phone (he was playing a game) lol walked around checking their selection out and literally not one person was around to ask if we needed help. We spend quite a bit of money on fish and the hobby and this business lost out on potential for good money. Guess they don't need anymore? We ended up going to Ocean Floor which is our normal go to and found what we were looking for with employees happy to help us.

They have quite literally probably 50 tanks of cichlids. Every color, style, font you could imagine Kenny gave us a personal tour of each aisle and explained all the fish, their quirks and personality, and what would go best with what we have in our tank right now. We left with only 1 fishy today (OB peacock who is absolutely beautiful), but trust there was about 10 we wanted to take home today. We will be back!

It's nothing fancy but their fish look well taken care of and a pretty big selection of fish. It was pretty busy in there but we were able to get help and grabbed a few fish. We got rummy-nose tetras, a long fin pleco and a couple corydora catfish. The girl that helped us was nice and helpful. Definitely prefer to get our fish from local smaller fish stores. Not a petsmart or petco as we feel they don't take as great care of their fishes. Definitely give this place a try if you're looking for reasonable prices and a place that takes care of their stock. We will be back!

Bought 7 neon tetras and added them to my 40 gallon tank with 3 existing ones, 6 have died in less…read morethan a week. I have a healthy colony of shrimp in the same tank and it is very heavily planted so water quality is not an issue. I also bought 15 brilliant rasporas from ocean floor right before going to tropical treasure so those transported longer than the tetras but I haven't lost a single one. I was warned not to buy from tropical treasure from experienced friends but their tetras were half the price of other stores so I gave it a shot. Do not buy fish from here, I can't comment on their reptiles.

First of all, it was open (hours are til 7 pm), open to the public (prior "appointment only" claims were for when they did individual aquarium services only), and had a great selection of freshwater fish and plants. Ashley went above and beyond - she was super patient with us beginners in the field (and our two very excited and vocal children), gave us great advice (advising us to buy a couple of things down the road vs now), offered to order our preferred fish types, and even told us about another store that had some specific hard scape we'd been looking for.
