This is a hidden gem. Came for a slightly early dinner on a Thursday. FYI the restaurant Entrance is inside the lobby of the Residence Inn by Marriot at DFW. Small and cozy, only 8 or so tables. Nice bar. Tasteful wood paneling and nice solid wood, upholstered chairs. The waitress, Callie, was super and pulled double duty as the bartender. Made us some nice rum mixed drinks, nice, big size, tasty and reasonably priced for a hotel bar. Food was excellent. We shared a Caesar salad and were in the mood for steak. My husband had the chicken fried steak which came with green beans sautéed with onion and bacon and garlic mashed potatoes for under $20! I had the 12 oz ribeye, perfectly medium and well seasoned, the green beans and a loaded baked potato smothered in butter, cheese, bacon and sour cream for $29. We were looking for a lunch spot that would let us continue to work on a project that required WiFi and thru Yelp we found the Library. We didn't realize it at first but it is in the hotel the residence inn. The bar restaurant to was open for lunch and was quiet with the WiFi we needed. We ordered the lasagna and the chicken carifolo (sic) which had sort of a Picata flavoring Despite my not being able to spell it it was excellent. While staying at the attached hotel we were hungry after our long drive into Grapevine. We decided to trying the little bar and grill. They also do the room service for the hotel. The menu was small but it had some delicious choices. The waitress was amazing and let us know about the days steak and seafood specials. She immediately took our drink order. We just ordered waters but they do have a full service bar. My husband ordered the Steak dinner special which was a ribeye with bake potato and asparagus. The steak was cooked perfect to my husbands liking and he didn't even use any steak sauce which usually he would DRENCH his steak with. This tells you something on how the steak was cooked. PERFECT. I ordered Chef's Fermin's Chicken Carciofo (Italian for artichoke) This had lightly breaded chicken with tomatoes, artichoke hearts, capers and spinach with bearer Blanc Sauce. Served with perfectly cooked asparagus and mash potatoes. SUPER MOUTH HEAVEN. It was so much I didn't get to eat it all but I did share it with my son. My son ordered the Beef stew which was served with green beans and mash potatoes. IT was amazing beef stew. Yet my son wanted to try my Chicken Carciofo. My daughter had a caesar salad with grilled chicken. She said that the chicken was cooked to perfection and not dry at all . She ate every last bite on her plate and even enjoyed some of the beef stew and Mash potatoes. The portions are pretty big. Well worth your money. We would definitely come back and enjoy something else on the menu. They do have take out and catering. Yet it is a little hidden wonderful restaurant inside the Resident Inn in Grapevine. Perfect food and staff. My kids even want to come back next time we come into town. Yes, this restaurant is as good as others said. In fact, the only question is that why there is not more customers. Yes, the food is at 5 star standard. Food was impeccable. I ordered salmon. The taste is great! They also provided some bread and butter to eat before salmon came. Presentation was good. Pasta was great. Waiter obviously is very experienced. Some of the food was excellent! Some was, bleh... The real issue here is that this bar & grill is punching above its weight class. Its located in a Residence Inn. I believe its simply the hotel bar. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how small (almost tiny) the restaurant is. We quickly realized its not really a restaurant. Its a bar and a hotel bar at that. Somehow, someone got the idea to make it into a reasonably classy restaurant. So what you have is a bar, serving restaurant quality food and a restaurant staffed with the efficiency of a bar. That means EXTREMELY slow service! I was happy for the meal I had, but I was not getting the restaurant experience I hoped for, especially the service. But the food was a notch above what you would normally see at a hotel bar of this class. read more

Reviews intrigued, me, the restaurant's lack of any ambiance almost made me leave. I think I heard Madonna on their music track. Sat at bar while the AC poured down from the ceiling above me making my nipples hard (I'm a dude). It was finally turned down, or up, whichever you prefer, making it more comfortable. The whole vibe was weird. Two guys at bar seemed like regulars. One even saying "see you tomorrow" after he ate his lasagna and wine. Bar regulars are cool, but at a hotel bar??? I felt unwelcome. The TVs above the bar played various sports stories, but the lighting directly above them made it hard to see. Weird hotel restaurant with over inflated ratings. Came here because the reviews. well our waiter was the bartender and busboy and the host. Food portions were huge but everyone food tatsed mediocre. I had the Chicken fried steak which was good but the broccoli was frozen or re cooked definitely not fresh. Cheesecake was good. This is a hidden gem. I was apprehensive the first time when I realized GPS was taking me to a Residence Inn. Our waiter Javier was very knowledgeable about the menu. My friend and I loved the char grill salmon over spinach with garlic lemon sauce and spaghetti so much she chooses to come back to celebrate her birthday. It took me three days to finally come here because it's located inside of a hotel. As a business traveler, I try to avoid hotel food, but the reviews kept calling to me. So, on the last day, I finally tried it. I came in at an odd time- 2pm on Wednesday. I was the only person in there. It's a very small place; only 10 tables, total. Cannot imagine how crowded it would feel when it was busy! I ordered the chicken with burre blanc sauce, which is what they're known for, I guess. The wait for my food was rather long, considering, but I received blazing hot chicken and there was no crust on the mashed potatoes, so it was freshly cooked. Bread came with the meal instead of before (which I would have appreciated since I waited so long). It was, in fact, a fabulous meal. Glad I gave it a try, and wish I had done so earlier! read more

Very good food for a smaller rated hotel class. The service is what makes this place stand out to us! We like that it's small, quieter than some places, has TV's for sports watching and a great bartender/server! My family and I ate here and loved it so much.My dad and mom loved the artichoke spinach dip as their appetizer and they scraped it till it was gone.My sister had the three mini slider dish and was satisfied with it! My dad had the pot roast dish and loved it so much My mom and I each had the Cesar salad and loved it too! Over all we were all satisfied with the service and the food! This is a wonderful lil hideaway restaurant in the Grapevine area. Our party of 3 found seating and was served promptly by our waiter. Don't let the hotel atmosphere fool you..... it is worth stopping by and trying something different. On our order was: Steak Sliders, Grilled Chicken Salad and Turkey Avocado Wrap. Two of the plates came with a generous helping of the best crunchy tasting fries! Around Dallas it is hard to find a good fry that isnt oily, heavily salted or undercooked.....at The Library you get the best fries in town! After eating we decided the try the Rum cake and we are so glad we ordered it! The taste of rum wasn't overbearing or too soggy.....perfect blend of REAL rum (not extract) and a butter moist cake. WOW! This is a must try if you haven't before. I stopped in to check out The Library as I tasted their food at an event they catered. Talk about delicious. Their menu offered you 6 appetizers, 6 salads and 8-10 lunch options all which sounded like something you hear about on Top Chef. Presentation was on point. The waitress Karen, was so inviting and informative of the menu and offered wonderful suggestions. We started with the shrimp n crab appetizer, marvelous! I wanted sweet tea, she offers to brew some fresh. Best glass of tea I've ever had! I had he 5 pepper chicken, it was heavenly. My husband had the rib eye burger and it was so hearty and cooked to perfection. There is something in their seasoning that made those onion rings sing!!! We complimented the Chef, Chef Fermin he came out and said hello. The gentleman who over sees the bar n grill Clem came out and introduced himself to us. I couldn't say enough about how wonderful our experience was. We will definitely make this our go to spot for date night. I don't think you have to a guest of the hotel to eat there either.
