I was in the area and heard of new rumors of this new food hot spot opening up right across from the college im attending. So I decided to check it out for myself and to my suprise another food paradise had become know to me. At the Long beach exchange Hangar, food spots like the Kroft, Bite mi and a few more recently opened for business. I wasn't sure where to start, but I had to start with the Krofts poutine. The vibe here kinda compares to that of the Anaheim packing district or Steelcraft, but maybe on a smaller scale. Looking forward to what else is going to open in the future!! read more

Big fan of this place. There isn't much poutine where I'm at, so it's cool to swing by when I'm visiting the area. I like that is it conveniently located near the airport, inside of The Hangar. I always end up getting the poutine with the braised beef and pickled onions. The beef adds enough to make it feel like a meal. For the price, it's a great deal too. The only complaint would be that I wish it had a bit more cheese curds. But the gravy and everything else are great. read more

I was excited to go to the Hanger and try a restaurant. Several of my friends went to different restaurants while I chose the Porchetta sandwich. Found this place at the LBX ! Great stuff here. Good menu and quality food. I ordered garlic fries it wasn't over the top it tasted awesome not overly seasoned. I wish though the fries were the shoe string kind I think I would have eaten more of it. The cut of the fries are regular thickness. Second thing I ordered was the fried chicken sandwich which was also bomb! Did t disappoint. The chicken had a perfect crunch to it and the bread was hearty it was able to hold up all the stuffings. I ordered dessert as well-- deep fried bread pudding and they did not make a mistake of adding raisins in them thangs! Thank goodness! It came with a scoop of ice cream- it was delish! Very unhappy! I'm gluten free with celiac disease. The menu clearly lists GF the team which is why I came in the first place. However, cheese curd alone were listed as not-GF, however they are then listed in an item labeled gf. When asked, they said they don't always keep fryer foods separate. Boo! For my food (the porchetta and chili mac n cheese) I would give 5 stars. My fiance had the brussel sprouts and said they were good, but used a little too much oil. I cannot say enough about the porchetta sandwich. Normally I'm not a fan of cracklins (pork rinds), but that mixed with everything else gave a perfect combination of crunch, soft, and savory with that amazing green sauce. Ordered a Cubano sandwich. For a little more than $13, the sandwich was so small. It wasn't even full of meat or cheese either. Really disappointing. The sandwich seemed more like it would be $7. I don't get all the hype??? Someone must be getting payed to say these things about their food...The food it's adequate at best.... I'd tried their 'French Dip', and to me tasted like 'Arby's' (The fast food chain) French dip, when the meat is processed and reformed, and it's been sitting in a bathtub of Au Jus' before it was slapped onto a brioche bun. A French dip sandwich to be served on a French baguette, (not a brioche bun), and the Au Jus' tasted like it came out of a packet. Now that there's a location in Long Beach, this is one of my new favorite places to eat! The cashier recommended the popular Country Fried Chicken poutine, but also suggested her personal favorite.. the Tikka Masala poutine. I had to give it a shot and it did not disappoint. The masala gravy was rich with flavor and the fries remained crispy. The line was longer than every other restaurant in the LBX Hangar.. which gave me a pretty good idea that this was a place to try out. The wait was worth it! This location is smaller than the one in the Anaheim Packing District. They don't have have their own seating but on a Saturday morning, there's many places to sit inside & outside. Just looking at the menu it had so much promise and I was truly looking forward to a decadent feast; however after the interminable wait for my order (watching at least 5 folks who ordered after me walk away with their food!) the dreams turned into nightmares. The staff we friendly but sadly there was no process or efficiency from the order entry to leaving the pass. The Cubano sandwich was okay. I think they skipped my aioli (not sure if it is on the sandwich or in a separate dish, either way it was not there. The fries from ostensibly the place that won the best fries award were horrible. I got through about a 1/4 of the order and that was it. The garlic fries were a little garlicky but the taters themselves were over-cooked, half were burnt or bordering on burnt and the rest were crunchy and tasteless. I showed the staff at the till and he offered me a replacement order but I didn't have the 30 minutes or so to wait (based on their early performance or lack thereof) Great looking menu but a totally inefficient system that makes for extremely looooong waits. read more

I am giving this rating because the girl that worked at the front gave us our orders and when we asked her for the white and orange sauce, she told us they charge. We told her ok and tried to pay for it. Instead of doing our payment, she told us to wait and started helping new customers in line with their orders. We were so baffled because we waited 20 minutes for the food and when we finally got it, she made us wait to buy the sauce while she was taking new people's orders! You would think that she would know to finish with the previous customer first before tending to new customers. Anyways, after about 5 minutes, we decided to just give her a dollar and not need change just to get the sauce. I have always LOVED the food at the Kroft. I introduced this place to my date, and we had such a good time that he's now my boyfriend. Recently though, we came during COVID. The person serving us was wearing a mask, which was good. Although she was wearing gloves, she used the same gloves to wipe/clean the counter, touch the pen and bill, and then, the same gloves to touch our food. Honestly, I FELT SO DISGUSTED. Honestly the food was pretty decent nothing to really complain about. My biggest issue is that they missed a part of my order. I had ordered 2 poutine and was only given 1. It's a lengthy drive to this location roughly 40 min one way. By the time I got home and found out I was only given half of my order, I called to see what could be done. They immediately knew that they missed giving me my poutine, but even knowing it's would take 1 hour 20 min roundtrip, they said the only thing they could do is have me drive over to pick it up. Said they aren't able to do any refunds because the manager isn't working that day. I asked if they could leave a note or something so that the manager could contact me on the next working day, but they basically told me doing that would be too troublesome and just asked me to call back the next day. I called today right when they opened to speak to the manager and they just told me he was busy and didn't have time to sort this out. I think this is ridiculous. Sure it's only 1 poutine and I could honestly care less about the 10 dollars but the way they treat a paying customer even though the fault was mostly on them (I should have checked the bag before leaving) is disgusting. Great new place in the hanger @the new LBX shopping center. Me and my wife had the cheese curds a porchetta and the cubano. First off a place that actually serves real Wisconsin cheese curds and they were delicious they are impossible to find in southern California. The porchetta was perfectly roasted and the skin nice a crispy like chicharon the textures and flavor were on point! The Cuban was my fave! The soft bread salty ham, roasted pork, Swiss cheese, pickles and mayo! Bomb! Look forward to trying more of the menu soon! read more

They advertise special hours for this weekend on ig to sell their Krumpets the IG ads stated that the Kroft would be opening at 9am today. I arrived at 9:30 to a dude manager telling me that you guys were not open yet and that you would open at 9:45. Would like to give the Kraft zero stars! Very, very fatty French Dip sandwich.....for very, very much money! A big disappointment having to pull and cut all the fat off the sandwich and try and re-assemble it together again! Not a fun thing to do! Wish I had a picture..... They took over 30 minutes to give me my food and I was the first customer that got there and they weren't really busy. When I got my food, my Cubano sandwich was on the cold side and it was super dry. The Tikka Masala fries were on the cold side as well and soggy. I went outta my way to drive here and I feel like I wasted my time and money. I would've asked for a refund or to get my order corrected, but I just threw my food in the trash because I was so furious and disgusted. Food was delicious and staff is super nice. But they are advertising beer even though they don't have any, misleading numerous people like myself who only went here because the brewery line was long. Even though the line was short here, it still took forever. When I arrived at the front I found out that they don't have their liquor license yet. The person at the register agreed that it wrong to advertise craft beers when they don't have any, but she said the ownership refuses to take it off the electronic menu or put a sign over the taps. As for the brussel sprouts, they were undercooked. It might help if the food prep person cut the large sprouts smaller. Went twice at the hanger and both experience was disappointing. First time, I had garlic fries, it cold and stale. Second time, we had cheeseburger eggrolls and it was given to is at thawed temperature, fillings was cold, cheese did not melt.
