I LOVE me Eggs Benedict, I order it everywhere I go for breakfast/brunch. Ordered the Goat and the Egg Benedict... this was hardly edible and not a Benedict. The eggs were not poached, the toast was not toasted and got extremely soggy quickly, the hollandaise sauce was way too much and the taste was off. It was supposed to be served with Avacado and there was none (they did bring me some on the side) and a very sad amount of Goat Cheese. Also came with no sides at almost $15. Hadn't been here since the remodel etc. it looks very nice! We arrived at 9:40 and were greeted and seated immediately. It took a little while to get to order. Order basic breakfast, eggs, meat, and toast. It took an hour for food to arrive. Not sure what the delay was. The food was prepared ok. I do not recommend the hash browns. 10/10/25, placed a carryout order. Ordered Bruscetta chicken, chicken was dry, overcooked, no feta cheese to be found, and a really really tiny piece of chicken, the sides (brocolli, green beeans, rice) all ok, but tasted like they were reheated from frozen, reminded me of bad cafateria food. Salmon entree was average in flavor, overcooked, tasted fishy. I gave it to my dogs. Ceasar salad was your average ceasar salad, cant really complain. Onion rings were good, but they forgot to give me both sauces I paid extra for. Online ordering was super convenient. read more

What a gem of a find in a small town. We were camping for the solar eclipse. We wanted to explore the surrounding area. Stumbled upon this establishment. We had great service and the atmosphere was perfect for the small town vibe. I had the fried green tomato egg Benedict. Now, the tomatoes were a bit overdone, but the rest of the meal was enjoyable. WOW... What a find! I love going less than 1 mile off the beaten path and finding a gem like this! After driving 5 hours from Chi Town, on my way to Talladega, by way of some blues in Memphis, Michelle "F", not to be confused with the 2 other Michelles, was just what the trip needed! Except for the light layer of dust on top of the duct work 20 feet up, this place seemed clean as a whistle! Along with The Dew Drop Inn which is located downstairs, this place needs to be seen! Biscuits and gravy, just a little sweet, were delicious and the eggs done just right! I could go on but you should see it for yourself. I would have rated higher because almost every time the service and the food is good but i just went and mind you it was busy and i was aware of the 15-20 min wait before seating which is 100% understandable, but i came in after 17-18 mins and just simply asked how much longer and the host said we can wipe that table off over there and i was perfectly fine with that until the people who were AFTER us to be seated said "how about us as well we're right after them" and i didn't think much of that until the host had sat them at a the twble she said we would sit at and then after she came back, mind you im irritated about that and asked her how come they got to sit before us if me and my boyfriend were before them and her answer was simply i don't know . so then we got seated a few minutes after they did and waited for our order to be taken which again it is busy i 100% get that but after having our food out after about 30 ish minutes waiting for it(again they were busy so i get it) and not going to lie the burger my boyfriend had looked super dry and a little shortly after the waitress asked if we needed anything else and he simply asked for honey mustard(he's obsessed with honey mustard lol) and she said she'll get it and then a few minutes later proceeded to take a table tops order, mind you it was their biggest table in there and still never got his sauce which at that point the food is just going to get cold so he's not going to sit and wait for it. i usually am not one to complain about service because i myself have worked two food service jobs and i get the rush, the struggle, and the stress or even simply forgetting something but to be right in front of the host and sit people after us and then asking us for sauce and then saying you'll get it and then multitasking taking the biggest table in there and never getting that sauce is a little upsetting, i love this place and i won't lie i may come back later in the future because im not going to let one bad day ruined my love for the food and place here because ive had a good experience every other time but id like to put this out to hopefully better the service and understanding that it isnt okay. read more

This place is just OK. We stopped on our way home from camping/hiking down at Hawn State Park. Our server switched part way through our service. No one offered refills on our underwhelming coffee and "home brewed" lemonade. Both of our dishes (a Benedict and a skillet) had one of two eggs overcooked. Hashbrowns were unseasoned and relied heavily on being smothered in gravy for flavor. The gravy was good, though. Ham and pulled pork were decent, but the bacon was thin and not super crispy. The shining star was the special everything bagel stuffed with herbed goat cheese - it was soft but crisp and well seasoned. I was still going to give it 4 stars, despite the service short comings, but there was a dead fly and hair in our window sill. read more

This place has amazing service and the workers are all very nice. We tried the fried mushrooms and they are very good. Also tried the chicken and waffles and my boyfriend compared them to eating a cloud because the waffles are so good. Also got the bourbon chicken which is really just a bourbon jelly. That was okay not the best i've had but i didn't mind it. The fry's needed a little salt and the boneless wings in the hot honey were not very good. The chicken was fine it was the sauce that made it not good it just tasted like franks red hot but it wasn't spicy so im not sure how that happened. The prices were reasonable and it was very quiet and gave a small town vibe. read more

So much potential. Servers were friendly and energetic. Our server was essentially nice and brought things out in great time. She would come and check on us and ask if everything was perfect... my wife and I both delayed when answering her - then stuttered then said, "um...sure! yeah. it's...". Right then she interrupted and said, "Good to hear!" and then she bolted away. So she wasn't a stellar listener. But was very nice. The restaurant is called "Dew Drop Inn", and we didn't realize it was primarily a bbcue place that also has pizza and a few other sandwiches. My wife opted for the saturday special pork steak. I went with brisket. We both had baked potato and applesauce. i had one of their craft beers from their sister brewery / winery. We got the fried mushrooms as an appetizer. The beer was called Tornado Alley and it was fantastic. The mushrooms were good but could have used some different sauce or dip - was also kinda bland and salt was needed. The applesauce appeared to be canned and it was also good as far as applesauce goes. The pork steak and brisket were essentially the worst bbcue I've ever had. Sauce was ketchup-ish, it had no soul, lifeless and bland. The pork steak was tough like the back of a Chuck Norris hand. When I took a bite of my wife's pork steak I said,"Wow. That's as tough as a Chuck Norris hand". All of the flavor had been systematically zapped away. Cutting into it was reminiscent of cutting into a nice thick climbing rope (the kind you climb in gym class). Turning to my brisket... words like stringy, chewy, and meat-like all come to mind. This brisket must have been slow smoking for all of 12 minutes, then finished in a pot of boiling water followed by a microwave set to "kill". For full transparency I have no idea what they did to those poor cuts of cheap meat, all i know is they were awful. We ride our motorcycle to visit new places within reasonable distance to STL... and while the atmosphere seemed fun and cool and like a cool place to hang - I doubt we'd ever go back based on how monumentally bad the two main courses were. Additionally the baked potato was hard and undercooked. AAAAANNND - they brought out those little awful plastic containers of "spread" not butter not margarine... it's just labeled "spread"... and that is exactly what it tastes like. The place seems to do well and perhaps pizza is the way to go rather than the bbcue. Additionally - i would never want a restaurant to close down or lose business. I would love to see them improve and figure out how to do bbcue or better yet simplify and get a few other options on the menu. i've had far better bologna sandwiches that would receive a better review than our meal at Dew Drop Inn... Based on our experience we probably wouldn't go back there but will keep our ears and eyes peeled incase we hear of so thing changing. Then if we try again we will update this review. read more

Food came out in a reasonable amount of time given the size of our party. For me--since I'm a vegetarian--the only thing I could find on the menu that didn't have meat in it was a veggie quesadilla that was technically an appetizer. That's fine, I like quesadillas. But not that quesadilla. It was incredibly greasy and not very flavorful. Made my stomach feel pretty nasty afterwards. The fries I ordered were yummy though! Talking to a couple of people around the table, everybody felt pretty mixed. Some people thought their burger/meal was good, others didn't really like it. Just ok. We love the Dew Drop so was excited to try The Kozy side. We had heard good things about the breakfast buffet. Was a little disappointed with it. It's not very big but that's ok....the biscuits were hard as rocks. The rest of the food was just average, nothing special. Mimosas were great! That was the highlight. Stopped here for breakfast on a recent motorcycle ride. I've been to the adjacent bar several times for lunch but tried the Kozy this visit. The decor is very nice and has a country feel to it. My wife had the eggs Benedict and I had the breakfast burrito at the recommendation of the waitress. Portions were huge and the food was outstanding. Much better than the connected bar as I remember. The members of the waitstaff were all very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended. read more

The Cozy is a darling little restaurant in Bloomsdale, MO which is about halfway between my home and my daughter's house in Cape Girardeau. We meet up there and grab lunch or dinner and visit for a while. The building is really cute, very modern, spacious and always clean. The menu is what you would expect from a place called The Cozy: soup, salad, sandwiches and bigger entrées at dinner. They are connected to a tavern that serves bar-be-que, and you can order an assortment of adult beverages. On our most recent visit my daughter and I ordered the same thing: steak, which we ordered medium rare, and shrimp. My steak was cooked perfectly and the whisky grilled shrimp were so good I wish I had ordered a plateful of them. Sides (I had broccoli and fries, my daughter had fries and Mac n Cheese. Once again my foo8thd was great, tasty, cooked perfectly and tasty. My daughter's meal had some issues. The first steak she was served was really close to well-done. Our server took it back and later brought a new steak. I am not sure if one of the cooks was not happy with it being sent back or legitimately did not know how to cook a steak because the second steak was blue rare. The server took it back again and when she returned the steak was good but her sides were cold. A word of advice if ordering a cocktail is that every drink I have had there has been way over poured. Also this time when I pulled out my credit card to pay the bill I was informed by our server of a 2% upcharge. T h at was disappointing but it is becoming more common these days. Next time I will remember to bring cash. The staff have always been delightful and kind. All in all it is a sweet place that is half way between St. Charles and Cape Girardeau that serves good food at fair prices. read more

I called ahead on our trip to Saint Louis via New Orleans to seat a party of 10. We were told to comf on in and out table will be ready. After driving with kids we were ecstatic to walk in this comfortable and friendly restaurant. We were seated and served a delicious breakfast that was priced perfectly. Our billed was $89 for a party of 10. Kirsten was our waitress I believe because she had just received her name tag after working their 3 years lol. She's a very sweet local and we wish her the best. Below 1 if I could ! Terrible western salad; bowl of dirty lettuce from a bag I guess and tablespoon of beans and corn. Explain the disappointment to my waitress and she said "oh that's funny the manager made it!"! This business has expanded and now have wedding venues in Cape Girardeau and Bloomsdale and I think like with a lot of small businesses they are unable to handle their regular business. Therefore the quality of their service for sure and food has gone down!
