Hadn't been here since the remodel etc. it looks very nice! We arrived at 9:40 and were greeted and seated immediately. It took a little while to get to order. Order basic breakfast, eggs, meat, and toast. It took an hour for food to arrive. Not sure what the delay was. The food was prepared ok. I do not recommend the hash browns. They were cold and not crispy.

What's with the deal having 9 open tables and making people wait to be seated because the kitchen is backed up and the "kitchen staff gets upset" if they seat people?

WOW... What a find! I love going less than 1 mile off the beaten path and finding a gem like this! After driving 5 hours from Chi Town, on my way to Talladega, by way of some blues in Memphis, Michelle "F", not to be confused with the 2 other Michelles, was just what the trip needed! Except for the light layer of dust on top of the duct work 20 feet up, this place seemed clean as a whistle! Along with The Dew Drop Inn which is located downstairs, this place needs to be seen! Biscuits and gravy, just a little sweet, were delicious and the eggs done just right! I could go on but you should see it for yourself. Other than the waitstaff having too much fun with their customers, everything was fantastic

Everything bagel and herbed goat cheese

This place is just OK. We stopped on our way home from camping/hiking down at Hawn State Park. Our server switched part way through our service. No one offered refills on our underwhelming coffee and "home brewed" lemonade. Both of our dishes (a Benedict and a skillet) had one of two eggs overcooked. Hashbrowns were unseasoned and relied heavily on being smothered in gravy for flavor. The gravy was good, though. Ham and pulled pork were decent, but the bacon was thin and not super crispy. The shining star was the special everything bagel stuffed with herbed goat cheese - it was soft but crisp and well seasoned. I was still going to give it 4 stars, despite the service short comings, but there was a dead fly and hair in our window sill.

Tungsten Pork steak - Tough as nails with napkin-like flavor and hard potato

They recently have reworked the inside some and have a new candy station that is full of all kinds of seasonal goodies. When I worked down the street, I would often come for their cold brew coffee, fir an afternoon pick me up. They also serve some pretty amazing breakfast and lunch sandwiches on New York bagels. Weekend hours are longer over the summer and early fall staying open until 10pm but as they hit October the hours shift to close by 9 o'clock on the weekends. They have cute ice cream cone seating tables as well as an old time soda bar. Definitely our families go-to ice cream splurge. Their coffee of the week was White Chocolate Irish Cream, and I could not resist that! It came out hot, but not so hot that I could not drink it, and it was just the right sweetness. Their "little somethings" were a variety of muffins, scones, and cinnamon rolls. Maybe something else, but I stopped his recitation over the phone after he said "cinnamon rolls". Another winner, but next time I will take up their offer of heating it up. At the time I wasn't sure I was going to eat it right away, but I do love some drippy icing! They are still take-out only, and you can either call in your order, which I did, or you can appear outside their door and they will come out to take your order. I was very happy that the young lady who came out with my goodies was wearing a mask! Service was quick, and what I had was good, so give them a try if you're in the area!

Even when we stop by other coffee shops in STL or Saint Charles, Corner Cup is still our favorite. My go-to is an iced pistachio latte with honey drizzle (the first time I came here they had a seasonal Baklava Latte and it was sooo good) and my husband gets an iced hazelnut latte. I've also tried their iced chai and it is delicious--not too sweet and just the right amount of spices. My favorite, savory baked food is their spinach and feta danish. I highly recommend getting one with your coffee for a light breakfast. The baristas are so kind and welcoming, and they always remember my name because I go there so much haha. The shop itself is very cute, and their furniture is quaint and unique, and they always have fun, coffee-related knick-knacks for sale. Must-try spot in Festus!
