    Nice and clean.

Passing thru and saw this place. Nice, clean, good service and good food. Glad we stopped.

Hadn't been here since the remodel etc. it looks very nice! We arrived at 9:40 and were greeted and seated immediately. It took a little while to get to order. Order basic breakfast, eggs, meat, and toast. It took an hour for food to arrive. Not sure what the delay was. The food was prepared ok. I do not recommend the hash browns. They were cold and not crispy.

What's with the deal having 9 open tables and making people wait to be seated because the kitchen is backed up and the "kitchen staff gets upset" if they seat people?

WOW... What a find! I love going less than 1 mile off the beaten path and finding a gem like this! After driving 5 hours from Chi Town, on my way to Talladega, by way of some blues in Memphis, Michelle "F", not to be confused with the 2 other Michelles, was just what the trip needed! Except for the light layer of dust on top of the duct work 20 feet up, this place seemed clean as a whistle! Along with The Dew Drop Inn which is located downstairs, this place needs to be seen! Biscuits and gravy, just a little sweet, were delicious and the eggs done just right! I could go on but you should see it for yourself. Other than the waitstaff having too much fun with their customers, everything was fantastic

Everything bagel and herbed goat cheese

This place is just OK. We stopped on our way home from camping/hiking down at Hawn State Park. Our server switched part way through our service. No one offered refills on our underwhelming coffee and "home brewed" lemonade. Both of our dishes (a Benedict and a skillet) had one of two eggs overcooked. Hashbrowns were unseasoned and relied heavily on being smothered in gravy for flavor. The gravy was good, though. Ham and pulled pork were decent, but the bacon was thin and not super crispy. The shining star was the special everything bagel stuffed with herbed goat cheese - it was soft but crisp and well seasoned. I was still going to give it 4 stars, despite the service short comings, but there was a dead fly and hair in our window sill.

    Riverside Grill - Fried pickles

It was clearly a…read morelocals place (off major highways and all) and the food is freshly made in-house which is so uncommon now. I asked what they do best and the waitress confidently recommended catfish and proceeded to talk about the breading and all. A woman at a nearby table said "it's so good" and held up a piece to take a bite. I was sold and the crunch of the breading was awesome and the fish was amazing! The hand cut fries were great too. And because I needed more fried food, I ordered a side of fried pickles. Yum with ranch! My sister had the ribeye sandwich and wouldn't stop talking about how awesome it was. She loved everything about it. Made each of us try it. Talked about the marinade, the fresh mushrooms that were sauted and all the things. And the onion rings were so good she gushed. My brother-in-law had a brisket pastrami that he loved. We had a great server who was friendly, quick and knew the place inside and out! They have been traveling for three weeks and said this was the best meal of the trip! That definitely rates stars and a Yelp review!

She didn't bother checking on me for coffee refill ect I got tired of waiting to pay and walked up to counter to see if I could pay and leave. Had to wait for her and the cook till they finished arguing with another patron about a sandwich wrap. Took a few more minutes to get her to ring me up. The cook seemed irritated and told the lady "I'll remake it" If it was me seeing how annoyed he was I wouldn't eat that wrap. I won't be going back , my omelet was decent and would rate a 4 star but the service was horrible. Waitress seemed more inclined to gab with other staff or checking her phone than tending to customers.

Weekend hours are longer over the summer and early fall staying open until 10pm but as they hit October the hours shift to close by 9 o'clock on the weekends. They have cute ice cream cone seating tables as well as an old time soda bar. Definitely our families go-to ice cream splurge.
