So reviewing specialty coffee shops is a little unfair because I'm basically walking in and saying, I'll have coffee. Meanwhile, my friend Winnie ordered some elaborate latte situation involving approximately 47 pumps, 12 scoops and probably a small mortgage and she said it was fabulous. I am here for the cookies. I got the orange and pistachio chocolate chip cookie. WOW! This was exactly my kind of dessert. Not aggressively sweet. The orange and pistachio gave it something interesting. Give me my basic black coffee and that cookie and I'm happy.

Enter Pine Mountain Country Coffee on Festus Main Street. This is a mini Cracker Barrel. If you look around, it will resemble Cracker Barrel. They have all the candies and the sweets and the baked items. It's adorable inside. Their coffee is strong, it's great, and you should be supporting Local businesses like this. The service is genuine and way faster than the chains. Do not make me go protest in the Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts parking lots. Don't do that to me.

When I worked down the street, I would often come for their cold brew coffee, fir an afternoon pick me up. They also serve some pretty amazing breakfast and lunch sandwiches on New York bagels. Weekend hours are longer over the summer and early fall staying open until 10pm but as they hit October the hours shift to close by 9 o'clock on the weekends. They have cute ice cream cone seating tables as well as an old time soda bar. Definitely our families go-to ice cream splurge. The wrap itself was good but unfortunately, the only "flavor" I got came from the cheddar cheese as the seasoning was no where to be found. Aside from that, it def kept me full and was a solid choice for breakfast. I liked the coffee shop as well, as it felt cozy and welcoming.
