    Iced PSL
    Stephanie S.

I stopped in this morning while in the area. I'm glad I did! I got an iced PSL which was really good. For breakfast o decided to try the turkey bacon bagel. Wow! First, it's so well made and looks delish, but it's actually just as good as it looks. I really liked it! The staff are all very kind and friendly. I thought the coffee bar was cutely decorated and love how it's attached to the salon! I'll be back!

Not available to public knowledge but I tried going twice during the hours thats posted d and they have been closed. When asking the staff with celeslies they were a little vague about when they're opening again. The last time I tried to go she said September they will be open as normal..... at this point I'm a little skeptical and would like to see better communication If this place is open or not because I really enjoyed going when they were.

The coffee here is great! I got a cappuccino and the foam was perfect and the espresso was pulled amazingly!! The owner here really knows what she's doing, plus she has good prices for such amazing quality. The cafe itself is super cute as well!

Great smoothies and sandwiches. They source from local bakeries and businesses, which is always nice.

This is my favorite place in Missouri. The staff is always friendly, very prompt, and the coffee is delicious. And very well priced!

It was the only place to get an UNsweet tea in Alabama back in the day. Ten years later, now living in Arnold, MO--land of chain restaurants--I went into McAlister's. I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance, the music, the smiling faces and the really good--perfectly portioned sandwich. They customized it for me like I was at a local deli. Great to have a good sandwich (not hero or hoagie or sub) shop back in the rotation. One funny note. They have no trash cans in there, but they are not needed. People kept coming by to clean up after me. On my way out I had a wadded up napkin in my hand, looking for a trash can to throw it in. A guy with a green McAlister's polo on and latex gloves, looked me in the eye, and held out his hand to take my trash. I had to laugh.

I stood at the counter for several minutes without being acknowledged, and when I was finally helped, the employee seemed annoyed and rushed through my order without listening. To make matters worse, I found a broken toothpick in my sandwich, which actually hurt my gums. That's a serious safety issue and honestly unacceptable for any place serving food. The sandwich itself was also poorly made--ingredients were unevenly distributed and the bread tasted stale. The bathrooms were just as bad. The mirror had a swastika smeared on it, and it clearly hadn't been cleaned in a while. I also saw a worker go in and laugh after noticing it, which was extremely inappropriate. As an Ashkenazi Jewish customer, I found this deeply disrespectful and disturbing. The bathroom arsonists smelled like someone recently smoked in there, and there was trash overflowing from the bins, which made the whole area feel neglected and unsanitary. Overall, this was a very upsetting and unacceptable experience. Between the lack of basic food safety, poor customer service, and offensive, unclean environment, I will not be returning. I don't think anyone should either!

The guy at the front taking orders looked either stoned or he just woke up.. I told him NO TOMATOES on two of the subs..twice.. I also ordered one medium Fry.. He seemed like he didn't want to be there. The guy making the subs was listening to hip hop songs with the lyrics of, and I quote "she sucked my dick", while my 14 year old daughter listened on... When the subs finally came out, and they called my order, the fries were not in the bag.. They offered to make some, but I was t about to wait 20 more minutes for medium fries. Besides, the guy at the order station didn't even put them on there... When we got home, one of the subs that I asked for no tomatoes on had tomatoes... The store itself was dirty, with open container drinks from the employees sitting next to the food prep area... Dirty work area, tables, floors.. Subs were bland and had very little meat.. definitely not worth 50 bucks. This was our FIRST TIME ever trying Penn Station.. It reminded me of gas station food. Looks like I can scratch this place off the list ..Ill re-post in a week to let you guys know if I developed food poisoning or not.. Also... out of the 3 person staff, the kid wearing the Blues hat was the only one remotely doing his job..

However, the two people that were working seemed to clash. The manager, a young guy who was wearing a white blues hat was GREAT! He was probably one of the nicest and fastest workers i've encountered here. The second worker seemed to be the issue. He was a bald man who seemed to disagree with how the manager worked. He then proceeded to cause a loud altercation where he was very adamant to let everyone in the place know that he was mad and he didn't agree with the manager. Both workers apologized however, being in the restaurant industry he needs to understand that this should've taken place after we left or at least quietly. Even though the bald man apologized, he then proceeded to continue for the third time about the subject. This was after we decided to eat inside but as the bald man kept going at the topic we almost left to eat inside our car. Love the place! Love the food! Love the young manager! Don't love the bald man.
