We were in Ste Genevieve for a meeting and looked on Yelp for a lunch option. Stella and Me was highly rated. It was a quintessential Ste Genevieve experience....kitschy decor, friendly service and awesome food. I had a Monte Cristo sandwich which was uniquely sweet/savory. My wife had soup and a turkey sandwich that she thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommended! read more

Always love coming to Stella's, this is definitely my go-to place in Ste Genevieve- they can do take out or you can go and have dine in service. The food is very healthy, desserts are small portions (so you won't feel bad about getting multiples!) and everyone is friendly. The restaurant itself is small but very nicely decorated and very quaint. Parking is easy! Price is reasonable. Quality of food is amazing! read more

The food is always delicious and fresh. The serving sizes are generous. They are usually busy around lunchtime so don't be in a hurry if eating in or order togo (which in my experience, has always been prepared quickly and ready when I arrive). The dining area is quaint; and there is also some outdoor seating available. read more

Delicious salad and sandwiches with excellent fast courteous service and charming ambiance!!!

Cute lunch spot with excellent fresh made soups & salads plus a great carrot cake is my consistent experience. Cute mis-match chairs, tables, plates & cups are surrounded by a multi-color kitsch & cute art. We usually get the "pick 2, drink & dessert" for $11. Tea can be flavored with different syrups. Seasonal salads have been 100% great. The current salad has fresh fruit, berries, nuts & a tasty maple vinaigrette dressing . They have been offering 2 homemade soups of the day to choose from & I have yet to be disappointed. Sandwiches- Bread & fresh toppings have always been great. The specials like todays chicken salad have always been very good. The only problem is that on sliced meats they do not give large amounts & they use pressed meats. Desserts- Carrot Cake is our family's favorite. Peanut butter pie is very rich. Sea salt caramel chocolate gooey butter cake is extremely rich with a pretzel sprinkling. read more

Such a cute little place! Great selection of sandwiches and salads and a soup of the day. Many drinks and desserts to choose from. We'd go back for sure! read more

This is such a sweet little lunch spot in Ste. Gen. My best friend and I always meet there for lunch since she's in Cape and it's a good halfway spot, and we were actually supposed to go to a different cafe that was closed. My handy Yelp app led me to Stella and Me, and I'm so glad it did! There's so much to look at in this place... tons of family photos and cool knick-knacks. It has all the charm of a small-town cafe, and has a great menu as well. They focus on sandwiches and salads, and usually have one soup to choose from. On my latest visit it was a seafood chowder so unfortunately that was out for me. You can do a pick two deal with a sandwich and salad, and that's a great way to go. I highly recommend the chicken salad sandwich and the cranberry feta salad... you'll leave full and more than satisfied! The best part about this place (aside from the charm) is how great the prices are. I picked up our lunch tab for two of us and it was $20 even. If that's not a bargain, I have no idea what is. They're open seven days a week now, so if you're in the area, you have no reason not to stop by for a visit. End your meal with one of their bite-size desserts! read more

I've been trying to get to this place the last 3 times I've been Saint Genevieve. Totally lived up to what I hoped it would be .. since several restaurants were closed Memorial Day weekend.. the food was good .. reasonable and the owner was gracious.. Highly recommend but remember it's a 1-2 person operation have some patience .. the soup and desserts were exceptional and definitely homemade..AAA-plus read more

Unfortunately I would love to say that our experience was great but I can not. There was no consideration for Covid restrictions. It was raining and we entered the cafe and noted no guess with masks so we socially distanced ourselves as much as possible. The problem was the service staff also had no mask so we had to raise our mask if she approached our table. I regret not saying something to her then but I am saying it now. If you have guess who actually are following Covid restrictions so SHOULD you. The food was good. read more

LOVE this restaurant! So cute and charming. I love getting breakfast or lunch here no need to go out of town for a delicious meal! Service is always great and they treat you like family! Pick up available or dine in. They also cater events which is amazing! Eat here multiple times a week read more

The service was poor. We sat for almost five minutes before a server came out, and she promptly went to a table that had come in after us. When she came to us and I told her we had been there first, she acted as though I had said nothing rather than apologizing for the oversight. It was downhill from there. The other table got their food before we had our drinks, and a party that came in about ten minutes after us got THEIR drinks before we did. Our food, two sandwiches, took over a half hour to arrive, and we had to ask for napkins and a fork for a slice of cake. The food was good, but not worth almost $25 for a simple lunch. We were sorry we didn't go to our other choice, and next time, we will. read more

Stopped in on recent visit. Clean and accommodating. Waitress gracious and attentive. Had the best potato soup I've ever eaten. Followed by sampling each of the five desserts. Each one homemade and delectable. Great job ladies. I'll be back. read more

Just happened through St. Genevieve on my back roads trip and stopped here for lunch. Yay for me! Sidewalk table in dappled sunlight. Excellent iced tea. Yummy potato soup with a turkey and cranberry panini. And a perfectly sized (just enough) absolutely delicious piece of peanut butter pie to finish. Service was friendly and nicely timed. So glad I stopped in! read more

A great, eclectic lunch spot in Ste. Genevieve that makes for a nice alternative to the more traditional and heavier offerings in the town square. They have a wide variety of sandwiches and salads. They also have great lunch specials that mix aforementioned salads and sandwiches. Desserts are housemade. Service can be slow, so don't eat here in a rush. read more

First time here out of state visitors. The food is really good and the price was reasonable. The service was a bit lagging for a drink refill but otherwise good. I would definitely recommend and come back again read more

Nice little find in downtown Ste. Gen. We came on a Mother's Day adventure and the place was surprisingly slow. We had great service and great food...soups, salads and the Stella's Sandwich. Even the kids liked it. I'll come back again on another trip to he wineries. read more

Good soup and sandwich selection. Nice motif. Service a bit lacking on taking order, drink refills, and presenting the check. Great if not in a hurry. read more

One of us had potato soup and a sandwich. The potato soup was very hot and it was very tasty.. the Italian sandwich was also very good. They were quite busy, with one person serving everyone and she managed to keep up very well. The other person had a 1/2 salad with chicken added to it. The chicken was forgotten, but they bought it out pretty quickly once we brought it to their attention. This restaurant is in an old historical type house and it was very interesting the way they have it decorated inside. You have to be very careful on the front steps going into the house. They would not be safe for anyone that is unsteady on their feet. read more

Read about this restaurant on the town's website and liked the choices on their menu. This is a very cute, small and intimate restaurant. I had the turkey artichoke sandwich and seafood bisque 1/2 and 1/2. It was delicious! It was too early for their dinner specials, but if their crab nachos are half as good as the seafood bisque they would be delicious! Sorry I was not going to be in the area tonight and more sorry that this is probably a one time trip to this part of the state for me! Otherwise I would keep returning! read more

The place was super cute inside and outside. The food is very delicious and the dessert is amazing. Would definitely recommend and come again. read more

Decided to take a little ride last Saturday and wound up in St. Gen. An internet search lead us to a couple of restaurants and we decided on Stella's. We were well pleased with the food and the prices and had a wonderful caramel-pretzel- gooey butter cake thing. It was the middle of the afternoon and the four of us were the only ones in the restaurant so the service was very attentive. After we left we strolled down the street and then came back past to get to our car. We noticed that the restaurant had closed for the day and looking at the poster on the door we then realized that it was actually closed when we had gone in to eat. I was very impressed that the young lady never mentioned that she was closing, but instead gave us great food and service and never hurried us in any way. read more

Stopped in on our way back to Illinois. Great chicken salad sandwich and delightful side salad that included bits of peach. The carrot cake was disappointingly small but still excellent. The dining room was small and very informal, with oilcloth table covers and very simple tableware. read more

This place was a hit for my family. My kids split a kids turkey sandwich and it was the perfect size for them thanks to the suggestion of the waitress. The vegetarian sandwich was so full of flavor and delicious with the artichoke spread. The cranberry, walnut, feta salad had a little too much salad dressing but that may just be my preference. And the homemade coconut cake was just the right size and so light and fluffy. If only you could buy their homemade cakes. I will definitey be going back. read more

The food is fantastic! Best options (since Station 2 went out) in town if you want something other than a burger and fries. Love that they have an outdoor eating area and that all prices include tax so you're not worrying about extra change. And while the food came quick, the initial experience upon walking into this place is not pleasant. I awkwardly stood around waiting for assistance for minutes (this has happened twice now), and it's noisy. The first time I went in, I was just getting a dessert to go, but I awkwardly stood in the middle of the dining area for 10 minutes waiting for someone to simply put a pre-made dessert in a box for me. read more

Delicious food and excellent service! Would go there all the time if we lived closer!

Husband & I were on a recent trip to St. Gen and our innkeeper recommended Stella and Me for lunch - turned out to be the best food we had all weekend! The place is very cozy & quaint. The menu, while not huge, had a nice variety. I did the pick-2 with the turkey artichoke sandwich & the soup (I'll never remember the name) but it was a chicken-base with nice curry flavor - delicious! He had the cranberry-turkey panini and a salad, also wonderful. Dessert was the sampler of peanut-butter goey butter cake, every bit as good as it sounds. Great service to top it off. Only wish we had a place like this near home, I'll be back again! read more

Worst place I've ever been too. The ladies were so rude i almost left! My soup was cold and the lettuce looked like it was cut last week. I will NEVER return here. It gives Ste Genevieve a bad name! The owner should be ashamed! read more
