3/14/26 I took my fiance, my daughter & her fiance here to eat... we had the buffet ($90) after we ate & paid we left & stood out front on sidewalk talking ... a male employee or the pregnant waitress' man came out & told us how pathetic we were for not tipping... a tip is optional not required... 2nd outing here was much better than the first. I had the chicken Parmesan sandwich for lunch along with fries and a side salad. Everything was great. My food was hot, tasty, and filling. My drink was kept full, and the waitress very attentive. No complaints. My previous visit I had tried the cheese on my fries and it tasted burnt or something so I am scared to try them again. How can you go wrong with a grilled cheese sandwich with pulled pork and Mac and cheese on it (the Bow Wow)? They nailed it and was really good. Took a minute to figure out you don't pick this thing up which made the fries a little soggy and adding pickles on the side would had been perfect. Also don't like ketchup selection, it tasted watered down. Look forward to coming back and keep playing with those combos. read more

First time visit to this place at their festus location. The food was good as far as burgers go but the wait and the service was horrible. An hour wait just to be seated when we were told 20 mins. Then we ordered...my husband ordered a salad....he waited 40mins for a salad. I don't know if I should complain about that because our burgers took much much longer. We couldn't get a refill to save our lives and on more than one occasion our waitress was standing doing absolutely nothing. No napkins and flys were everywhere. I ordered the grilled cheese bacon cheese burger along with my husband and my daughter ordered a bacon cheese burger. It's an interesting place but like the last restaurant at this location it's good food is ruined by lousy service. Hopefully it's just kinks they need to work out since they just opened. read more

This place was fantastic. My fiancé and I were traveling from Texas and came across this great place while stopping in De Soto, and I am glad that we did. Even though they were slammed busy we were greeted promptly, sat, and had drinks within a couple minutes. When our server Kelley (sorry if I misspelled) cane over she was quick to explain the foods we hadn't heard of before and had some great recommendations. The menu wasn't too terribly complicated but they were sure good at making what they have. We were pleased overall with our experience not only with the food (great taste and filling as well) but with the friendly service from employees to owner. Any time we come up this way we will definitely make a point to come by Dog House. P.s. we absolutely loved that all the food was served in dog bowls to keep with the theme of it all. read more

Not impressed with the burgers. First time there , so let's review this restaurant industry staple . It was hot , on Texas toast , which I didn't like. Over cooked and dry . Zero on the juicy scale ! The fries were crinkle cut and obviously frozen . Cannot recommend this place if you want a good burger . Pizza and original dishes such as bbq fries make this restaurant in DeSoto worth coming to. It is a little small with limited seating, but I have always gotten seated pretty quick. Today is a great place for lunch. Great hamburgers and hot wings. read more

I can highly recommend the Bow Wow. The service has always been good & it is definitely kid friendly with everything coming in dog bowls.

Not sure what all the hype is about the place. I guess it is all due to the money they spent to get on tv. The food is average at best. The place is super small. Neat if you have a kid and they can eat out of a dog bowl. Otherwise....I am not sure that I will be back. Big portions but I would rather have smaller portions with a quality product. read more

Pros=The food was a great portion size. The food was good but the burgers were a little dry but that's because of the size of them. Thickest burgers I have ever gotten at a restaurant. Cons= way too small of a cafe. You are so close you could reach over to steal a fry from the other customers. They need to find a way to control flies. We had to leave because there were probably 6 flies driving us crazy. And we weren't told sorry for it or anything when we said we need it to go because of the flies. That was disappointing. Service wasn't great but that's because they were so busy. We had to keep asking for things they forgot and what we needed. read more

When here for the first time today. I had the grilled cheese, pulled pork, mac & cheese sandwich. It was served on toasted bread that was warm crispy and soft. It was delicious. The pulled pork was great mac & cheese was smooth and delicious. Huge servings, I could only eat half. The staff was friendly and I enjoyed my dinner. read more

First off, "we are out of onion rings" really set the tone. Too long of a wait for food. Service was fair. Empty drink glasses for the whole meal. Fried appetizers where either overcooked or fried in burnt oil. (Mushrooms, zucchini, pickles). They were out of onions. We threw away boneless hot wings and a chicken club sandwich. Horrible. Literally threw them away. We never waist food. Western hamburger was good but missing the onion. The place is a dump. Always will be unless someone guts the building. I am constantly told by their staff they are too understaffed to take to go orders on the phone. When I eat inside, I have not one time had someone wait on me with a smile or a good attitude. Had high hopes from the rating on yelp except we were let down from the beginning. We ordered an appetizer called dog balls they told us they already ran out that they only had dragon balls left . So they don't make the food fresh it's premade . When we received the dragon balls we expected bigger portions then they 4 little golf size balls. So the appetizer is completely over priced for what you get . Then we order our meals and their dog burger is covered in cheese that tastes horrible it's out of a can type of cheese so that automatically put me off on the burger . This place has been open for a couple of months now and finally got a chance to visit this evening, we have wasted some time and missed some great meals! Wife had the cheeseburger and onion rings and I had the bacon cheeseburger and onion rings, AWESOME!! Easily the best burger for miles around and the portions of onion rings were huge, not like the skimpy 5 -6 you get every where else. Service was great!!
