The Big Daddy sandwich was huge! A large, fresh bread roll contained what seemed like a pound of roast beef with some veggies and a slathering of horseradish. That slathering really kicked up the taste. Sandwich and a drink were south of $9. So, a terrific value. Micasa is a quaint, corner shop in downtown Red Bud. Great sandwiches, good prices. The kids sandwiches could use to be cut down the middle though, they were really messy when the kids picked them up. I got the ranch melt and it was delicious. The bread is fresh, fluffy and good. Restaurant was clean and bright, great easy to find location. The stairs near the front are a bit problematic; my toddler fell down them when we were ordering because they are right by the ordering and line, and don't have any markings or anything to indicate the level change. It's just really close to the ordering station, so we were also waiting on the stairs for our order, which was tough with kids. Overall, it was great! read more

Every time I've eaten here I've never been disappointed. Hearty portions and reasonably priced food. Quick to order and fresh bread. Greek vinaigrette is the bomb. My only suggestion is offer more/better drinks. Keep up the great job serving great food! read more

Food definitely outweighs the customer service. A line of customers waiting outside in the heat but staff still wouldn't unlock the doors and invite guests in until 11:05am. Why not operate during the hours they posted?! 11am!!!!! Mind blowing and unnerving. All the youngsters who work there seem to be inconvenienced by every order they take. I usually pay ahead of time when I call to ensure a quicker transaction and always leave 20-30% gratuity- and they always make me regret it. Gonna have to simply forget the tip next time. read more

Love this place. I've been a Micasa fan since moving to the area. My go-to sandwich is the Daddy, mostly because the horseradish sauce puts some extra pep in my step. Occasionally, I'll try the specials, too. Never really had a bad sandwich here. On top of the food, the workers are really friendly, and the Red Bud location has a very nice feel to it -- super bright, with tons of windows, right on the main strip. read more

This was my 3rd time here in the past 2 months and my very last! It was 6:15, 45 minutes until close. My friend ordered before me and got the last full/whole bread. According to all the workers I could only get a half. Or 2 half's but I would have to pay the 1/2 sandwich price which would make the sandwich be $13.50 ($6.75 half x 2) vs $9 that it costs for a whole. That math is crazy! So you are out of whole pieces of bread and I can't get 2 halves to make a whole because you ran out of bread 45 minutes before close? POOR NON EXISTENT customer service! read more

This is my absolute favorite sandwich. However the last two times I have been here they "ran out of bread." The first time I was told it would be 45 mins and it ended up being two hours. Great little sandwich shop on the Illinois side of the river. Subway on steroids. The sandwiches are stacked with HUGE helpings of real deli meats and generous helpings of veggies. The breads are baked fresh daily and delicious. All very reasonably priced. Interior clean and inviting with lots of natural sunlight. Not a fast food type of place as the workers are true sandwich artists; so make sure you aren't in a rush. read more

I'm a big fan of Subway and always considered it my favorite place to get a fresh sandwich. Tonight I was invited to eat at Micasa in Red Bud. The menu offers "named" sandwiches with predetermined ingredients along with a make-your-own option. Micasa's menu board offers two sizes, but a mini size is available upon request. I ordered the small size which turned out to be plenty for me. The ingredients were plentiful and very fresh. The bread is baked in-house and very tasty. I can't really compare Micasa head to head with Subway because Micasa is at another level, more like a deli. I would certainly recommend Micasa to all my friends and anyone visiting Red Bud!! read more

My now son-in-law has to go to Mi Casa when in town. So for the wedding rehearsal dinner we had Nina(the owner) cater. We had subs --club, Daddy--Monster, a pasta salad and a Greek salad. I picked up the order at 930 am prior to opening and the girls were great! They had just finished making the food. The guests loved the meal! Not your traditional rehearsal dinner---but was a smash hit! The Greek salad was gone and the remaining subs were used for wedding day for the wedding party when getting ready. How perfect!! Our intent was to order a salad for a couple of hungry kids. We were told they "close at 5:00". Workers are present. Patrons are still eating. You have an opportunity to do more business. I am thoroughly IMPRESSED with this little sub shop. Micasa sits right off of Main Street in Red Bud and has the best sandwiches for a great price!! I've driven by several times but had never stopped in and I'm so glad I did. I got a "full size" sub and could hardly finish half!
