Great food and fast friendly service. We had the wings and chicken bacon ranch sandwich. Both were excellent.

Hopskeller is an all around fantastic place to visit! We always make a stop here when in Waterloo…read more This is such a cool space! When you enter you see the large bar and all the beautiful wood. The staff are friendly and welcoming. You order drinks at the bar and food at the food window near the back. They have a large selection of beers and cocktails. There is are easy to read, large signs with the beers and drinks on the menu. The bartenders are helpful if you want more info about the style of beer. There is plenty of bar seating and a large area with tables. When the weather is nice I love the patio! Several large tables, a nice fountain and large tree to provide some shade. I have also tried many things on the menu and the must try is for sure one of their pizzas! Perfect size for two people to split. They have a range of your typical toppings and some that are unique. They are all delicious and I especially love the crust! Pizza and beer on the patio! Perfection!

We enjoy sitting upstairs or on the back patio in nicer weather - so many options for a get-together with friends. Service at the bar and the food service counter are excellent. Staff are friendly and always have helpful suggestions. We recently came for Sunday lunch the week of Christmas, and there wasn't much of a crowd. This was great for a relaxed lunch with the kids and brother visiting from out of town. Plenty of seating! There are kid-friendly options here, with the pizza and pub snack menu. My picky daughter (not a fan of pizza) enjoys the pretzels. There is something for everyone. The salads have fresh ingredients, made-to-order. Pizzas on the menu are excellent and can also be modified or build-your-own. Pizzas and other hot appetizers come out on paper-lined pans. When ordering salads, they come in a takeout box rather than a plate or dish. You may need an additional box or plate, because the salads are packed full and you might have a mess! Utensils are plastic. There is a bit of a disconnect because the food and overall cozy vibe seem worthy of real plates and silverware ;) but the plus side is quick table turnover on the busy days or the days where everyone is out on the patio. It's nice to be able to order and pay at the food service counter. You will want to stay a while, but you'll be free to leave whenever you're ready to move on to your next stop!

I put my menu down and asked for my grandmothers, it too had weird grime on it. Nasty. Secondly, the chips we received were stale, the salsa was great though. I ordered a Beef Quesadilla without beans, the rice that came with it was pretty good, but a little overcooked, solid 7/10. The Quesadilla itself, very crispy, an absurd amount of beef, and too little cheese. 6/10. The restaurant itself felt like a small step into Mexico, really nicely set up for the small space they had to work with, the waiters were all working very hard and being very friendly, one called me his "Amigo" lol. No complaints there. The tables were clean, however every table was absolutely plastered in sponsorships and ads, ruining the vibe of the place. Overall I had a somewhat enjoyable experience, despite immediately being disgusted upon opening my menu, it was good. I do wonder what their kitchen could possibly look like if thats what the menus looked like, probably very nasty. On a scale of 1-10 I would rate this restaurant a max of 6 on a good day, however when I was there, it was a 5/10

We had kids, tired parents, and a decent-sized group -- and they handled it effortlessly. Friendly, attentive, and quick without ever making us feel rushed. That balance isn't easy. The food was killer. The brisket mac and cheese was loaded and flavorful, with perfectly cooked pasta and tender meat. The smash burger was another standout -- great crust on the patty, juicy inside, and stacked just right. Even the pretzel bites were a hit with the kids (and let's be honest, the adults too). And the blood orange beer? Fantastic. Crisp, refreshing, and just enough citrus to make it interesting without being overpowering. It was the perfect post-game drink. Great atmosphere, great service, and legitimately good food. If you're anywhere near Main & Mill -- especially with a team or a group -- it's a win. We'll absolutely be back.

Hundreds of Hops US Hop Passport Amazing Brewery Race Stop 30 - 1/18 for Missouri…read more We stopped here as our first stop on our Missouri Brewery Race, plotted intentionally for the eats... specifically all you can eat fried chicken day... not that I could eat a whole lot of it, but I love good fried chicken and that KFC at home isn't scratching that itch. Needless to say, I ordered the fried chicken, dark meat. The hubs got a maple syrup (flavored, turns out - definitely NOT maple syrup). The table behind us ordered directly after our order was put in and also ordered all you can eat fried chicken, dark meat. When i heard, "we're sold out of that", with my order not up yet, I thought we were in for potential problems. Now, at 845pm, I'd understand that but 15min after the "special" starts, with a half empty dining room... I'm gonna have some questions. For example: Why is there no chicken available at open on fried chicken day? Anywho, the plates come out & I'd guess the potatoes were from the last special... cold & crusty, topped with the thickest, most concentrated "gravy" I've ever seen. Both were inedible. The broccoli was cooler than it should have been served at but tasted good. The real star was definitely the fried chicken. It absolutely hit the spot - unfortunately, they were indeed sold out of dark meat & i ended up with a wing... sigh - thankfully, I got 1 thigh, my true love & although it was all you can eat (only way they sell it), 1 thigh is about all I can eat. Still, I could have skipped the sides all together for a 2nd thigh... The burger was "ok", nicely cooked, but maple flavor is not at all the same as real maple syrup tho & it definitely could be improved with real maple syrup. The beer was pretty tasty. We had 3 different ones & could have pulled a 4th had the timing worked out. Overall, a so-so experience. I'm not sure why, when I ordered, that I wasn't told that there wasn't enough chicken for a dark meat order. I would have asked if there was a thigh left & likely still ordered it when they said yes, but it would have been my choice then. They did stop selling the chicken special before we cashed out.
