Complements to the owners/management, the facility is quite unique with the feel of what you expect of a modern butchers shop to be. Shelves are faced and full with unique, intriguing meat market driven products including a few decent selection of sundry products to fill a light shopping list. IMO though after purchasing almost $100 in steaks, pork and sausage products was disappointed with the quality at the plate. The thick cut pork chop were great, juicy and filled a large diner appetite. However the thick cut porterhouse, costing $27 was tuff when cooked to MMR, this was a big downer we had expected a whole lot more. the Link breakfast sausage was under seasoned it left us thinking it didn't bring anything special to the breakfast meal. Customer of 10 years. Went to pick up my online order to find out it was never filled and they were out if every item on the order. The fat dude behind the counter gets smart about it and says they are busy. I said yeah, I have a business and I'm busy too. I dont screw my customers over though. So busy you couldn't fill an oder from 12/18/25 for pickup 12/23? No apology, only attitude. Plenty of other places to get sliced lunch meats. Yeah, I was pissed. I have to drive an hour each way. My friend wanted to have pulled pork for for birthday party! So we went to Schneiders to get 3 pounds of bbq pulled pork from meat counter. They have several delicious brats. They have horseradish brats, bacon and blue cheese brats, apple brats, bell peppers and onion brats, and many more. Also they sell Fritz soda which not very many stores does have Fritz's. Also they sell Gallagher's frozen square pizza. Pictures I took was fresh meatloaf and stuffed pork chops. Both look yummy Also they have smoke sausage jerky stick on the cool counter. Don't take my 3 star rating too hard. I'm being a little critical but honest. So I went here to buy some uncured pork belly. They gave me a decent price but only compared to their cured/smoked bacon. The kicker was that it was gonna be frozen. Wasn't quite a deal breaker but I saw the butcher cutting open vacuum packs of baby back ribs like I buy at Costco, Sam's, Walmart. I'd expect this at a grocery store but I drove here from St. Louis Looking for a butcher, not a reseller. I can buy frozen meat online. It is a cute store and the people are nice. I got a couple turkey sandwiches to go that were pretty good but pretty basic. I wish we had more legit butcher shops where butchering was their main market. I won't avoid Schneider's but not going out of my way either. read more

We stopped here on our way to the Red Bud Winery! Great little market. Full butcher's counter which looked wonderful. Honestly we just ran in in search of some jerky! One of the "butchers" pleasantly offered to give us samples and opened a couple things for us to try! One was their own kind of flat beef stick and one was their own jerky. We tried them both and ended up leaving with their Bigger, round beef sticks and some cheese curds!! Sadly, the jerky was a no go. We walked through the Market on our way to the register and did notice great beer and wine selections! They really seemed to have it all. read more

This is the best meat you're gonna get this side of the river. Super good steaks, chops, excellent bacon, snack sticks, and tons of fixings to go with your meat. Stop getting your meat at the grocery store and get serious, go to Schneider's, it's a completely different quality level than the grocery store meat counter. read more

Ehhhh-------I'm going to do this review in a little different style than I do most my others- Becuase I'm so torn on certain things, we're going to do this pro/con style.... Pros: + they invented breakfast brats...if you've nver had them--- GET THEM!!! + they have tons of spices, and seasonings +they carry excel bottling co. sodas...in bottles.... :) +they are a full functioning deli +a neat place to stop in Cons: - expensive-- (in my mind) -we wanted to sides of uncured bacon (got there and had to come back two days later to pick it up) They do however some really awesome stuff in the freezer, and their pork burgers, and brats are really really good!!! Woohoo!!!! Woohooooooo!!! They get the extra o's woohoo at Schneiders. If you're a meat lover, this place is a must see. They must have 30 variations of brats in their freezer, both pork and chicken varieties. We asked a couple of people for their opinions, then went with the Hot Buffalo Chicken and Garlic Parmesan Chicken brats. They were both very delicious, delivered on flavor and kick (for the Buffalo) while also providing an nice lean meat alternative. This is especially awesome if you're going low carb - it add variety to your life. They have a huge case full of beautiful fresh meats, including everyday style sausages, but the more exotic flavors are all in the freezer. The lady behind the counter said put them in water for 10 minutes before you cook them and they're good to go. We put our two packs in the fridge overnight and they were ready to throw on the grill. Very friendly, super clean and well organized. They have an interesting selection of smoked meats, a big selection of bbq and other marinating sauces, some misc groceries and a small assortment of local produce. It's maybe 15 minutes beyond the JB bridge, a few miles south of Columbia. Be careful about your speed through Columbia, btw. I speak from experience. read more

The only place to get brats. They are hands down the best brats around and I have tried many other meat markets. I can't say that I have had anything bad from here, but they are a little pricey. I still keep coming back for the brats. They do know that they have something special going on with their brats. 5 stars would have been granted if their prices were a little more friendly. read more

This was our first time using Schneider's for our family party of 14. The pulled pork was delicious and the favorite of the crowd. We also had pulled chicken & brisket. The chicken was liked , but not as much as the pork. Everyone thought the brats were the best they've ever had. Baked beans & coleslaw also delicious. I thought the price was good. We had 3 lbs pork, 2 lbs chicken, 3 lbs brisket, large pan of baked beans, large pan of coleslaw & 12 brats all for $160.00. This will be our go to place from now on, for our parties. read more
