They have everything you need to either start a business in cake decorating or just making a cake In general. The wife requested a cake for a cake for her birthday and graduation. She sent me ideas on how she wanted her cake. At first I thought I would just put an order in for the cake she wanted but as a cook I challenged myself to make it for her. Stopped by this place and got the items I needed. I even had question on how to get the correct shape of the cake (wife requested a heart shape cake). They gave me tips on how to make the shape and the easiest way to do it. After speaking ti them I felt more confident on producing this request. They don't even deserve the second star. It's my second time wasting my time. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but .. my time was wasted. They price the edible images really high. (It's per image) I sent them early morning. Stated I would be there around 2 pm. When I got there they said they didn't receive the order. I had to resend everything. then the girl ( same chick as last time) lets me know I was about to spend $20 a sheet with out even knowing what I was going g to get. It would have been $80 bucks worth of edible images? Which is insane. For 26 pictures ? They ranged in size too. It seemed a little ridiculous for the price. Here's what I was looking at. If you get one full 1/4 sheet with a full page edible image it's $10 but if I get 12 - 2 inch images it's $20. The math ain't mathing. So I decided that I wasn't going to purchase them. she stormed off when I said no thanks. (mind you she did nothing . no work. She didn't even really read the description I had written, very professional chick. ( that's sarcasm) lol) oh and there was another customer standing there too. needless to say. Never going back to that cave again. Their images aren't that great anyway and they're a little dark. I would rather drive out for something more quality and the professionalism of a different location. So much for shopping local. read more

But the photo I have doesn't do it justice. This cake was so beautiful. And the Kilted Cake team is amazing. Vanessa was truly an angel every step of the way. From the initial cake testing to our big day over a year later, Vanessa's customer service exceeded all expectations. She responded to my emails quickly and was always so kind and helpful. A snafu with our cake after the wedding (which was no fault of Vanessa's or The Kilted Cake) brought me to tears and even though Vanessa had no obligation to help, she managed to make everything right again and I can't thank her enough. I am gluten free and they were very accommodating with options (could pretty much make any flavor gluten free) and they had so many options of different frostings, fillings, and flavors to get creative if you would like. PHENOMENAL!!! I had them make my wedding cake and it was amazing. First off, I tried an insane amount of wedding cakes for my wedding day. I want to say it was upwards of 4 bakeries. I absolutely had to go with The Kilted Cake because they allowed so much flexibility with design and flavor options at a reasonable price. I ordered a three tiered cake, all different flavors. The first flavor was chocolate cake, with raspberry and chocolate ganache filling. The second flavor was vanilla cake with guava, strawberry, and banana filling. Lastly, we upgraded to a chocolate Guinness with Bavarian cream. Everything tasted like heaven!! I gave them my wedding coordinators information for scheduling setting up on the wedding day, and it was such a smooth process, I didn't even see the cake being dropped off haha! I wish I got to thank them in person but when I was finally able to check on the cake it was set up beautifully and ready to go for the day. Wonderful experience picking out my wedding cake here. The girl on the phone was very kind and helpful booking me an appointment for a cake tasting. The shop is full of many cute cake and baking supplies. Me and my now husband were taken to the back where we did the cake tasting. The cake was so good and they have many fillings to choose from it was hard to pick. We ended up putting three kinds of filling in bottom tier and it was really delicious. The decorations were really beautiful with flowers and a lace surrounding on two of the tiers. Going in I wasn't really sure what I wanted but they really helped me pick the perfect one and didn't rush us at all. They delivered the cake on time and in perfect condition. We all know what month Hanukkah and Christmas occurs. Why then don't they plan ahead, and do their due diligence and order months ahead and keep it in the back stockroom. My husband bought me $500 worth of baking supplies as a Christmas present. He also got me a gift certificate for some of the classes they offer. I signed up for the beginners cake decorating classes. I really enjoyed learning and the instructor, Olivia is really patient and helpful. I didn't learn nearly as much as I would have liked but it was not due to the instructor. I was the only one that did the homework you are supposed to do before you come to class. That being crumb coating and hot knifing your cake so that you can get to learning decorating technics. Because we had to wait for those students to go their homework in classes, we never learned how to do the flat roses on the round cake, didn't get to finish the Safari cake Technics either. Again this was not the fault of the instructor. Olivia was patient with those that didn't come to class prepared. But it is still kind of a bummer that I didn't get to learn some of the decorating technics. read more

This spot has everything you need for cakes and chocolates. I want to give them 5 stars but honestly they would need to amp up their cookie supplies. Every shape and size you could want. They have piping bags and tips too, but no icing tools and such, but Zi was hoping for so much more. But prior to that, and this mirrors my previous experiences, there wasn't much greetings or work to create a welcoming environment. Working with Sierra at Kilted Cake was wonderful. My husband and I were overwhelmed by all of the delicious options available for our wedding cake. Sierra walked us through the process so we could select the perfect cake. During our meeting Sierra showed us pictures of various dessert bars displaying an assortment of baked goods. After deliberation we decided on a smaller cake with a one dessert bar. It was perfect! This allowed us to offer more flavor options in the form of cake shooters while still having a traditional (smaller) cake for the cake-cutting ceremony. We also included chocolate covered strawberries and pretzels. We received so many lovely compliments on the cake and the desserts. Sierra and Vanessa were absolutely fabulous to work with. I did everything over the phone and by email. I requested a 50th Birthday cake. Chocolate cake, oreo cream filling, buttercream frosting in white with rose gold flowers. I sent pics with ideas. Vanessa emailed me back a sketch with cost which included delivery and setup to the winery restaurant. I paid over the phone and they sent me a receipt over email. It was perfect because I live out of the area and did not have time to drive to a cake shop in Temecula just to order the cake. The cake tasted phenomenal!!!! I am very particular and like things to be as perfect as possible. The aesthetics of the cake surpassed my imagination. The birthday girl was beyond shocked. I have to be honest...my wedding cake was terrible. It was dry and upon cutting it, it appeared to be overbaked and burnt. The cake itself LOOKED gorgeous and was beautifully decorated (thanks to my florist). The staff was also very pleasant as well. But when it comes down to flavor and the actual taste & quality of cake, I would not recommend this place. I was very disappointed. My friends and family were too kind to tell me the truth. We didn't end up saving any to eat for our 1 year because it wasn't good.
