BoCakes was a recommended vendor for our wedding, and they were by far our favorite to work with. They are clear, communicative, and know exactly what is needed for your big day. We booked a tasting, and I can confidently say that it was too hard to choose because everything is so delicious. Their homemade buttercream is to die for. Cathy walked us through the process of selecting the cake flavors and fillings and even gave us time alone so we weren't pressured to have certain reactions. Once we filled out our forms, she asked about general design questions and anything else she may need to know before we wrapped things up. On the day of, everything went so smoothly and the cake was beautiful and delicious. I realized I didn't have a picture of the cakes without it faces in them, so I don't have a picture to share. It was already perfectly set up so we didn't have to worry about anything. We also remembered Cathy telling us that she has a deal where you can ask for your cake to be remade on the one year wedding anniversary. We called about two weeks in advance and she said she would happily make one of them for a discounted price. We picked it up and Cathy was busy as ever but still made time to talk with us and congratulate us on one year. We took our cake home and it was beautiful. Even better, the cake was so delicious and brought back some memories of the day. Nothing can beat her skills at baking, designing, and communicating. Bocakes was off my list of places that I wanted to try wedding cakes from, and it was also recommended by a friends relative who had Bocakes provide their wedding cake last year. It was very easy to schedule a cake tasting pickup - they ask a few questions about wedding details while also quickly explaining how their cake tasting box is created. When my fiancé and I picked up our tasting box, a gentleman brought us the box and explained all the flavors of cake and fillings to us, and also the process of how the cakes are layered. We loved that with Bocakes tasting, you can mix and match flavors to your liking so that you're able to create your perfect wedding cake. The cakes were soft and yummy, with the vanilla & marble being our favorites. Their fillings are also delicious and I loved all the frostings, and the raspberry jam was so good. Only downside was that the Oreo filling didn't have any cookie and was only frosting, so I was slightly sad that I wasn't able to try it with any of the cakes. BoCakes did exactly what we wanted for my daughter's wedding earlier this week. A three tiered cake with raspberry and lemon fillings. No ornate design as her cake was nestled in a floral nest that matched the center pieces, bouquets, etc. Cathy worked with my daughter and her fiancé during the testing experience and helped them get exactly what they wanted. The tasting experience was also fun for them. In the end, we also ordered cheesecake bites and red-velvet balls to add a little extra to the dessert choices. At the end, everyone loved all the choices. My husband, who is one of the most hard to please people when it comes to sweets, said it was amazing. We even ate cake (the smallest tier) the following morning for breakfast. Many people also had seconds. If I ever need a cake or something along these lines again, I'll go back to Cathy. read more

It may have sounded like too much, but every bite was absolutely delicious! We went with the "nearly naked" frosting so it wouldn't be too heavy. All dessert plates were cleared! Planning and tasting for our cake was done so easily thanks to her patience and knowledge with wedding cake experience. She even lent us a cake stand so it was one less thing to keep track of. Her Mexican wedding cookies are in my top 3 favorites, and I am very particular about that specific cookie.
