These items came out fresh and hot. The deviled eggs were good, made the traditional way. Unfortunately they were out of the fried green tomatoes today. The cocktails were tasty and came out quick too. Unfortunately the entree portion was a mess. Despite the restaurant not being very busy, the food took very long to come out, and none of it was hot. The grit bowl was like warm; the cornmeal pancakes were cold and bland. The pancakes were nothing like the description and they sent an order of 2 when it calls for 3; the garlic grilled cheese was delivered to the table without any of its accoutrements (garlic flavoring, the spicy mustard and the caramelized onions). It was simply bread and melted cheese. They were willing to remake it, but it took forever for the entrees to come, so we opted to not. They still charged us full price for it. They also charged us in full for the order of pancakes that they shorted us on. Entree wise, the chicken and waffle is the only thing I'd recommend ordering. Our waitress was very nice. Maybe not the most experienced. I won't hold the kitchen's missteps against her, but she probably should have brought those missteps to a managers attention on our behalf.

It was so big I ate half and then ate the other half the next day and I think it was better the second day. The cucumber salad is ok. My friend liked the mushroom Swiss burger and said it was cooked to his liking. Some of the fries were not hot and it seemed there may have been old and new fries mixed in. There were tons of fries.
