Instead, I ended up reconsidering all my life choices -- starting with walking through the front door. Let's talk food, or as Tooey's calls it, "stuff we deep-fried and hoped for the best." The calamari? I wouldn't feed it to a sea gull with trust issues. The only way I could swallow it was by drowning it in the "Asian dressing," which tasted like it was made by someone who once read about Asia in a fortune cookie. Then came the wings. I ordered two flavors, but both felt like personal attacks. The sticky sesame wings were the kind of sticky you need therapy for, and the lemon pepper ones tasted like sadness with a side of regret. Five of each, and I finished zero. Even the tots were confused about being there -- dry, lifeless, and only slightly saved by a desperate dunk in bleu cheese. The real MVP of the night? Mango Cart beer. Cold, smooth, and the only thing that didn't make me question reality. Honestly, I should've gone to the gym. At least there, the pain is productive. If you're thinking about going to Tooey's -- don't. Unless your taste buds are into self-sabotage and you enjoy watching sports blowouts while eating edible disappointments. read more

In my opinion Tooey's is more then a wing spot sports bar. Been coming here for ages it's the #1 spot we choose when we need to order wings for any occasion. While I've definitely enjoyed time at their bar for their amazing shooters . Dining in The vibe is typical when you think of a SpotsBar but there's a familiar atmosphere because the staff is always so friendly and welcoming. Their Nachos though very tasty it's slightly dry so I'd recommend ordering a side of their queso to pour on top to take it to the best level of tastiness safe to say their wings are always great. They have various flavors that's always hit and never disappoint and can't forget their house ranch which is by far top Teir in the ranch category. For their CheeseSteak while I prefer yellow American over white American I must say I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty it was especially how fresh the bread love that they toast it. Being from up north it's hard to find cheesesteaks in the south that hit and the bread is always what makes or breaks it for me . We decided to skip the shooters and asked if the bartender could make us some Hennessy Rita's which they did . Unfortunately that was a miss it was a bit on the sour side but we noted we should have just stuck with the shooters. I can say every time I've gone to Tooeys the last 8+ years I've never had a bad experience with the staff it could be crazy packed at the bar on SuperBowl Sunday and I've had to pick up a To-go order even in the chaos and excitement The staff never seems overwhelmed and you never feel like you're being ignored or forgotten. Every staff from waiter to bartender to hostess manager on duty to busser everyone is always ultra kind and attentive. If you're ever in a bind trying to figure out where to go for dinner don't underestimate Tooey's as an option. read more

Tooeys is that local sport bar where you'll find wings, burgers, and drafts beers. Staff is pretty friendly and service is fast. We usually go here on large groups and they always manage to provide good service. The food is okay. They have a pretty extensive menu. I've ordered the smothered chicken sandwich, the wrap, and one of the burgers but the chicken sandwich is still my fav which is topped with bacon, grilled onions and mushrooms, and Swiss cheese. I've tried a couple cocktails from the bar and they were pretty good too, and strong. There is also plenty on parking. I got 6 tacos. 3 beef and 3 chicken. They were inedible!! They were way over seasoned with something that was definitely not taco seasoning. They were really spicy. I ordered from this place New Years Eve night and it was not good at all. I placed my order for pick up and the bar side of the restaurant wasn't clean at all. I simply ordered a chicken finger plate and the chicken was over cooked. The chicken tenders were dark and chewy. Honestly, they didn't event taste like chicken. It was the quality of school cafeteria meat. The fries were decent, but overall not worth the $10. I feel this may be more of a bar place and pass on the food, but wouldn't recommend either way. read more

My husband went to pick up a to go order and EVERY SINGLE PERSON he talked to was rude. I was in the phone with him as I heard someone rudely tell him to walk out the door and come in through the other side and proceeded to ignore him. He then went to the bar and another employee raised his hand as he said excuse me and told him "I'm too busy right now to listen, you're going to have to wait, Jesus". Have been coming here for many many years. I love the food and service is always great when Colin is our server. He's very experienced and friendly. Recently there's been a new server. A woman who always wears a cardigan, I don't know her name. Dark colored hair. Every time we dine and she ends up serving us it just ruins the experience. She doesn't have the greatest customer service skills. Tooeys is known for their tenders. She told me that I couldn't have my tenders tossed in any of the sauces. That's crazy!!! I've been a loyal customer at this place for years. Since 2007 to be exact. The staff is great. The food is inconsistent but I understand how kitchens work. However when I had tonight 2 cat tail size dust fragments fall on my lap from the ceiling fan!! Gross! I have dust allergies and this set me off. I went to the bathroom to wash my pants and hands off. I came back and another long dust tail fell on a customer at the bar. I'm a small business owner. So it's sad when the owner doesn't have the wherewithal to know to dust the fans once a month at least before the business opens. After what happened tonight that seemed like 2 years of dust that just fell all over me. Get it together! You're a dive bar. But you can be a clean dive bar and do so much more with this place if you cared enough to do so. read more

Local bar with consistently good food, literally the whole menu is pretty good for the price point not to mention they're kitchen is open till 1:30 a.m so it's a great go to after everything is closed. Drinks are really well priced considering they're strong every time. Also, the whole menu is customizable. Any flavor you see on the menu can be added to your chicken on any dish. As far as service goes if you want your food quick I'd order at the bar otherwise the servers are friendly and quick too. read more

While visiting the area we asked for the local bar. We loved it! Crystal was our waitress in the bar area the first night and our bartender the second night. When we arrived the second night, Crystal remembered our drinks and promptly served us. This girl ran circles making drinks, is personable and her service was impeccable both nights! If I ever open a bar, I'm gonna hire her! This is a local bar, and the customers are friendly and plenty of character here. Unfortunately, we did have a chance to eat here because we had reservations with family for dinner both nights elsewhere. However, all the food that came out looked tasty. OMGosh...what a horrible experience with both service & food. 1) Ordered wings, all drums & extra crispy. I received wings but they were not extra crispy. 2) Another diner also ordered wings, all drums & extra crispy. Arrived as a regular order (not all drums and not extra crispy). I mentioned to the server that the order was not all drums so please make sure not to charge him for "all drums". Her response, "Oh, OK!" An appropriate response would have been, "I am sorry. May I correct that for you?" Then another diner ordered chicken fingers. Good grief! They were SO over cooked that they looked like they had been blackened. I had hoped that the manager would stop by our table to ask about our meal, especially since the server knew at least one of our meals was prepared incorrectly. NOT! Ever saw him/her.
