My first impression was, "Is this place open?" When I pulled in the parking lot a couple of the windows looked boarded up (see pic). There were no neon lights or signs or anything to make the restaurant look open. Walking into the front door was interesting. To be honest, I'm surprised I stayed. The door has random stickers on it and, quite frankly, is a mess. Ladders were at the entrance and I'm not sure if they were there just at the time we were there or if that's where they are stored. We sat down and were not impressed. The place just seemed dirty. (Mostly my impression because of the entrance). I know this is not a fine dining establishment, but we were looking for some good wings which is why we ended up at Will Henry's. Turns out the wings were really good. They were big and saucy. We also ordered a grilled chicken sandwich which was just ok. The service was ok as well. Apparently, there were a lot of "regulars" there because everyone knew each other and knew the staff. So that's nice that they have returning customers. I don't think we will be back. We will continue the search for great wings. read more

I have to say, I am so impressed by the warmth and friendliness of this restaurant and bar. You can tell this is a hot spot for people in the area. We walked in after a long day and received the best service from our waitress Molly. The owner greeted us at our table and ensured everything was up to par, which it absolutely was. Cold beer, fantastic food served quickly, and wonderful welcoming atmosphere. As a huge plus, the women's bathroom was stocked with a little basket of all the girlie needs (advil, body spray, feminine products, etc). A regular sat down with us and started chatting us up, said she had been coming here for 6 years, which is a testament to the overall vibe of the bar and staff. Btw, TRY THE OKRA!!! So good. It's the local bar with the neighborhood folk. Alex is great and Rusty makes amazing hot lemon pepper wings.

Seems to be a rough crowd. Went in to find a couple drunk and arguing. The next time in town, oddly enough, the same couple were physically fighting in the parking lot. Seems they're regulars and Will Henry's needs to be more selective who they let in. Very uncomfortable. Won't be back. read more

I come into this spot sometimes to use their ATM. My barbershop is right next door and they took their ATM out for some reason or another. Well one day I was reading their menu on the chalkboard and I saw something interesting that I wanted to try. They had gumbo and they also had chicken fried steak. So I said to myself that it's nice and cool, let me try the gumbo. Why did I do that?? Gumbo: What should have been a gumbo was actually a stew. It had the sausages and chicken and some other stuff but the chicken was way overcooked. There was nothing but strands of chicken all over the place. The taste was ok but it may have been a little better if it was hot as they served it to me warm and borderline cold. Needless to say the waitress Tracie saw that I didn't care for it and told me to just order something else. Normally gumbo is supposed to be a soup and not a stew. So I went ahead and ordered a cheese burger and a chicken fried steak meal to go. However me and the cook had a few words on the gumbo. Nothing bad, it was just missing either a lot of water or chicken broth to make it nice and soupy. Cheeseburger: The cheese burger itself was ok tops. Not enough seasoning in it for my taste but it was doable. The waitress told me they had a new cook in the back that had just started. Now she wasn't the one that made the gumbo, the manager made the gumbo. I told him that I'm from Louisiana and I've never seen gumbo made this way. He told me a guy from Louisiana showed him how to make it. However I think he missed a few steps. Chicken fried steak: Now this was good! Only the chicken fried steak was and not the sides. The sides I had was Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes and gravy. Both of them lacked seasoning horribly but I had to add a little something to make it a little more desirable. I'm still surprised at how they can season the chicken fried steak very well but miss the mark on the sides. That's really beyond me. Overall: This is a nice spot to come to if u wanted to have a few beers or drinks. However you have to be careful with what you pick if you want to grub. Maybe, it just happened to me on a particular day when they were having an off day. Since I liked the chicken fried steak, next time I go I'll see if they can make that as a burger for me instead of a meal. I really did enjoy that. read more

I come here when The Tom Hill Trio hosts their weekly Monday Blues Jam. Tom has been a fixture here and deservedly so. Tries to include all (me included) with his famous hospitality and talent. Awkward is the first word that comes to mind. When walking into the place, our party of 8 practically stopped every conversation I. The bar and all locked eyes on us...like 40+ people. Band should have stopped playing. The food was ok, band was good and played covers, people were definitely regulars. Feeling out of place the whole time and it's a diverse atmosphere. So weird. I really wanted to like this spot. My husband loves to try new places and he lives for grimey bars but this spot missed the mark in several spots. We visited on a Friday afternoon. The spot was pretty empty save for about 2 tables and some bar patrons. The waitress acknowledged us immediately which was great. I asked about drink specials and she said all well drinks were $4.25. I ordered a pineapple and vodka. It was strong so I was happy with that. My husband ordered chili appetizer and we ordered wings for our entree. It took at least 30 minutes just for his chili to come out. When my husband mentioned it, the waitress was like," I know right!" His chili smelled delicious but was completely devoid of any flavor. After my husband added about 3 tablespoons of salt he was okay. The chili would have been awesome if it had some type of seasoning. Some jalapeños and cumin would have been awesome. We got 10 sticky wings and 5 mango habanero wings. When we "finally" got the wings, I was unimpressed. It tasted like they cooked the wings and then just tossed them around in sauce. The sticky wings were tremendously honey forward. If you love sweet, then these wings are for you. They weren't for me. This sports bar has pool tables and electronic video games. It has a bit of potential but between the long wait for the food and the lack of seasoning, I have no immediate plans of returning. Also they use an antiquated POS. No bill detail. Our bill was off by $1.45. Not a big deal but what if they are getting that extra off of each person that comes through. read more

I went for the first time the other day, and I was pleasantly surprised. The bartender Marina was super nice and attentive, food was good (I got a grilled cheese with bacon and ham...yum!), and the patrons were very welcoming. The owner came over and introduced himself, which I loved. He was very personable and made me feel right at home. Yes, this is a pub/dive. It has pool tables and a patio (which I didn't visit), but looks nice. Anyway, it's good. I liked it. 5 stars from me. read more

This place has a clientele that frequently enjoy smoking. So guess where they went to smoke. Of course, the patio!! Also, the clientele are loud with, shall I say, colorful language? I had my kids with me, so I just had the feeling that this is really more of a bar than it is a restaurant. So I really wouldn't categorize this as a "family place". This is more of a place to eat wings, drink beer, and cuss...and smoke, if you are a smoker. read more

I am not happy with the unattractive waitresses they have. They are typically older wearing boring outfits and ponytails. Do better.

Wish I could give more than 5 stars. Game on tavern is awesome! From their food & customer service to the fun events they hold G.O.T is the place to be! I went there on Saturday which is karaoke night while I was debating on if I wanted to sing or not I order food. I ordered hotdogs & my friend ordered the philly cheese steak with a side of onion rings... delicious! After I got some food in my system & saw that people of all different ages were participating in karaoke & were having fun my mindset changed. I soon signed up to sing. It was awesome, it was my first time doing karaoke & the crowd & environment was so fun & laid back I actually went up another time! Now going back to their customer service.. my bartender was V she was so friendly & accommodating to my drink request. With all of that being said I wished I lived closer, if I did I would be a Saturday night regular. I am from the Midwest but will be sure to come by again the next time I am in town!
