At the suggestion of a couple locals, we decided on this spot to pre-game for happy hour. $15 hookah and we'll drink specials. We were immediately greeted by Nicky and Kia who were extremely welcoming and friendly. The bar was starting to pick up when we arrived so we were pleasantly showered with attention and great conversation. So she suggested this place that her brother and his wife went to and gave us a good review, but obviously they don't live by the same standards we do. So we tried it anyway. When we walked in on this nice fall Saturday evening, the ambiance was great, had great music playing and it was jus a hand full of people there, mostly females. So you if single guys need a hangout spot to see women then this is it, but that's all they had! I will admit the drinks were decent, but for a lemon drop and Hennessy margarita that cost 45 dollars it better had been good! We ordered wings at 7:06 and by 7:56 they NEVER came! So I met some friends out at this lounge or whatever it is, as this has been their go to spot for Karaoke on Friday nights but it has been rebranded as Grown and Sexy Friday's. I checked Yelp reviews and the community didn't lie on a few points. This place needs a good bit of updating if this is what they are aiming for. First, let's bring some class to the appearance of the wait staff and bar staff. The attire is trashy and they look like struggling hookers. If Hooters is what you all are aiming for then keep this place just as it is. The attitudes of some of the staff reflects the appearance. I know finding good help is a struggle and it shows. No one wants to come in expecting a "Grown and Sexy" vibe and the attire of the patrons is all over the place. Well, it may be my confusion looking at their Instagram page because you can most definitely be grown and sexy in some jeans, sweat shirt, and tennis shoes. However, the advertisements on Instagram aren't reflecting that look for their Friday nights. Figure out if you all want to be the neighborhood "Cheers" bar or an upscale lounge. It's confusing. They have contemporary glass chandeliers hanging amongst black ceiling fans with wooden bench sections lining the wall of the spot, with a pool table that gives neighborhood juke joint vibes. It's a place of confusion esthetically. The food is subpar and the reviews warned me. No one lied. The DJ did a good job with the music. It was grown and sexy until 11p. The music switches up and matches the crowd that's in there already. I wish I would've paid more attention to the reviews and worn my Nike Dunks along with a chill sweatsuit. This establishment is not Grown and Sexy at all. Feel free to go as you feel like dressing. It's all good. Low expectations will be met and no disappointment will occur. I will never be back and nothing will change based on these reviews. Someone I know says this place has been around for years and my review is what it's been for years. So, you've been warned. I read the reviews before going here and all the reviews about the bouncer at the door did not lie. He was very rude. There was nothing pleasant about him. Once you enter it's a decent size place and the music was good. I went on a Saturday night when it was international night. I really enjoyed the music. There was a security inside that kept bumping in my cousins back and shoulder every time he walked pass. It was not that pack so there was plenty of room for him to pass without bumping her even when she moved out the way. He never said sorry or excuse me. This place is really nice except for the several men that hang out at the entrance. Kinda scary as a single woman walking through. Music is great doesn't only cater to the young group . At least on a Thursday night. They do cater to there regulars a little bit much. Hookas are cool until the money man comes in and starts smoking weed. Would have loved to try the BBQ but was told when waitress came over only 12 minutes before they close that down and all night regulars and new people comming in were allowed to order food. I went here last night and entry was $20 for comedy night. I paid with no problem and got a Hennessy margarita which was delicious and strong and the only reason I gave a generous 2 stars. Later that night i decided to order some food and wings was all I could order because they were closing soon. When I received the wings they were dry and I didn't like them but ate the fries. I asked the waitress if she could just charge me for the fries I ate and take off the wings because I was dissatisfied and did not eat them. She told me she was not allowed to take it off herself but she would get the manager. She came back 5 minutes later telling me "he said no". The coward didn't even come over and tell me himself but sent the waitress to deliver his message. I calmly said ok, paid the bill, left the wings, and filed a dispute with my bank. Y'all had me so messed up and that was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever received at a restaurant that I was dissatisfied with. They're not an upscale restaurant and never had a dress code due to the restaurant being below par at a gas station, they stopped my male friend of mine from entering and charged a fee because he wore shorts. We were there to celebrate my wife's b-day (Oct. 7th, 2017) in the VIP section -- closest to the DJ booth having a great time. Then some extremely drunk chick was dancing near us, fell knocking over everything, burning the leather bench (from the hookah coal), and knocked most of our food and all drinks onto the floor (destroying my wife's new shoes in the process)! Security then ushered the woman out instead of making her pay for the damages, etc. which somehow became our fault and not the business... wait for it. We then had to sit and smell the burnt leather for almost 30 mins. only to be told that the "greedy" and "unreasonable" owner wasn't going to discount anything. Not too mention was a coward and wouldn't even show his/ her face when asked if we could speak to him/ her. It only got worse from there, then one of there security guards (same guard) stumbles in passing and knocks the REST OF THE FOOD onto the ground and on a different persons shoes in our group!! WTF!!! I was invited out for a taste of Caribbean, African and Reggae music and it was great. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the waitresses made sure you were comfortable. It's not a large spot, although there is an adequate dance floor, long bar, plenty of tables and booth seats surrounding the place. Not to mention plenty of food. Absolutely loved this spot. I use to go there back when it was Flames sports bar and grill but haven't went back. This place is an awesome chill spot! This lounge is close to the house so on occasion it's cool to go listen to some music. I've been here now on 3 different occasions the first time was almost 2 years ago and that experience was horrible it was pouring rain outside and literally was raining inside the lounge too we were afraid the ceiling was gonna cave in, they finally had to shut music off and make everyone leave cause it was damn near a flash flood in the place lol. After I assume they had major roof repairs I went back and listened to some live music which was pretty cool, the drinks are over priced but very strong I had a Bob Marley. It seems like a lot of regulars go so that's cool. The food is over priced a bit too but the wings were tasty. The place could use some upgrades in service cause they wait staff isn't very good, but for a place close to home this will do, especially when you don't wanna drive to the city. read more

This spot is lit!! Came back from the city from a prep game to my side of town and decided to pull up wit my lady. Shit was packed!! But in a good way. It was $10 at the door but I wasn't mad at that. We get in and the music is turnt!! My lady is Jamaican and she loved that they played a lot more Jamaican songs. It was a good night!! I actually like this spot... Why am I surprised? Because it's snellville! Lol it's a little undercover secret I knew nothing about. I came on a Thursday and again on Saturday. Beautiful bands, one was called 3rd degree the other was called shrimp and grits and peanut butter or something like that (it was strange a name) either way it was great. It's a rather casual spot but you won't catch me too many places without my heels. The food was actually presented with care. I had the chicken quesadillas which was phenomenal. The bartender was kind, which is rare when a female patron asks for a drink. I think her name was Lauren but don't quote me. The owner named AJ can be spotted making rounds and was very approachable. Compliments to the chef!!! I have been planning to stop in for dinner for quite sometime, being that it's in the neighborhood. Walking in, I could feel a certain pride. The restaurant was clean, the bathrooms were immaculate. A chef girlfriend of mine told me that when the bathrooms are clean, you can trust that the kitchen is clean and the restaurant is likely well-managed. Well, that was the case here. The food experience was excellent. We ordered the burger and the Philly chicken steak sandwiches with fries. All were seasoned exceptionally well, even the fries. The food is phenomenal!! This lounge offers both an African and American menu as an option with very good menu selections. You will not be disappointed with the food. I have tried the shrimp tacos, Lobster with chips, and more. The staff and bartender is wonderful. There is a DJ there that plays great hip hop and R&B selections. There's a dance floor as well. The live band was very nice i enjoyed the female singer on Sunday night she was good. The only problem i had was seating i was in some high heels and wanted to sit down and eat and rest my feet and it took a while before we could get a seat and it was at the bar.
