After 10 years of dining at the Pancake House I can finally provide a full review of. The staff makes this place exceptional. You get that old time customer service where the wait staff remembers your order. The food portions and food flavor never disappoints. I'm always left full and with extra to go. I had a burger where my patty was bigger than the bun. Not only was it delicious but it was flavorful. The beef had obviously been marinated before it was cooked. The ambiance changes with every season and holiday. I look forward to seeing what's new each time I visit. The only downside is the hours. I personally wish they were open around the clock 24/7. read more

OMG. I had no idea there was a breakfast spot hiding in Gwinnett! Well, I'm here to shed some light on your next spot to go for breakfast. Me and my partner have been coming here about 2 months of Sundays in a row! You would think somewhere else would do it, but no! This is it! Location: is in Lawrenceville. If you are in Gwinnett, it's very easy to get to and ample parking. Service: everyone is lovely. It's very family oriented and the wait times are not bad. We typically come before the church crowd, or shortly after but even when we came during, we waited about 10 mins to be seated. Staff: Always lovely, always remember what you've ordered the first time - no complaints. Food: THE BOMB. I'm being dramatic, but this has gots to be the best French toast I've ever had outside of my mother's and my own! The chicken fiesta omelet??? To die for. The omelet and the salsa. The prices are reasonable and the portion size is suitable. The staff was very nice and the place was very crowded. I think it is alway busy, at least every time we pass by it is always a lot of folks. I was satisfied with the food I ordered, but I needed my hash-browns to be cooked a little longer. I did tell the waiter that in the beginning but I guess he didn't really understand what I was trying to say. I ordered an omelet. It was pretty good as well. There are quite a bit of food choices so when and if I go back I will be trying some other items. I will definitely try the cuban milk shakes just to change my norm. read more

Believe the 3.6 stars. Went here for breakfast since when passing this place it is always crowded. First there is no heat on. Every employee is in a jacket and I am literally shivering. The food was bland, I believe the only salt in this establishment is at the table itself. My hashbrowns were soggy and warm at best. Eggs were supposed to be cooked over medium and were very undercooked. Spend your money elsewhere. Even our waitress was hard to track down to pay our bill. I posted a five star review two years ago and I stand behind that review-Celi's Pancake House is a step back to a simpler time where you feel at home, the staff cares about you, the food is delicious and plentiful at a price you can feel good about. Big family groups are welcome and accommodated quickly-they love children. We take care of neighbor's pets while they travel and we love to take them to the shaded patio on the front of the restaurant. The staff loves animals and always bring the fur kid water. Husband and I went here for brunch this past weekend. The place was very busy but we were seated quickly. The service was good, friendly and a little slow but they were packed so it's not unreasonable. They serve cocktails for brunch after 11am so we waited and ordered mojitos which were fine. Not too strong but not watered down either. I will say I was shocked at how many offerings their menu had. A great selection for breakfast and lunch. My husband got an omelette which he was happy with, but I wasn't too happy with my crêpe. I got the spinach and chicken crepe... there were only 4 quarter sized pieces of chicken in it and it was mainly filled with spinach and onions. I also ordered a short stack of pancakes which were fine. I noticed a review, saying this was basically the same as Waffle House, and I would disagree. Definitely a step or two up from the waho. I ordered my eggs scrambled medium and my bacon as crispy as they could get it and it came out perfect. The grits have a nice flavor to them and are actually creamy which is very hard to find From my experiences. The crepes are filled to bursting with cream cheese and have multiple options for fruit toppings. Would have tried the pancakes but I can't handle corn syrup. Parking lot was full this Sunday morning! But there was a seat available for us. This place is so clean and it is hopping! Our server was wonderful always smiling and keeping our coffee cups filled very important in Sunday mornings ! I ordered from the 55+ section and for $8.99 I received a 2 egg omelet that came with onions, peppers, mushrooms and cheddar cheese but I only wanted the cheese along with 2 pancakes and I couldn't finish either. My friend got the Grayson slam 2 eggs, 2 pieces ham, sausage and bacon plus 2 pancakes for $11.25 and his plate was cleaned! I wouldn't say it was something mind boggling but it did the job. I was very hungry and it was very filling. The pancakes were on the thicker side which I liked. The bacon was also good it was a in between crispy and not crispy I thought it was a nice consistency. The eggs were just okay they weren't very seasoned but a little salt and pepper fixed that. I'm always impressed with the latter, and disappointed when I find one that can ruin such a simple meal. I ordered eggs, hash browns, pancakes, turkey bacon, and turkey sausage. When the food arrived, the eggs were the only thing hot. One pancake was hard, and one was soft. Both were barely warm enough to melt the already soft butter. Turkey sausage resembled something like a dog treat. Turkey bacon was good, but cold. The food came out I'd say 10-15 minutes after ordering; good fire times and the orders were correct. The ambiance and environment was quiet but still lively.
