I had one of the best salads, topped with crab, and my husband really enjoyed his Cheeseburger with Tillamook cheese. Our waiter was fantastic and made us feel very welcome. I definitely recommend giving this restaurant a try. If you can, ask for a table by the window so you can enjoy the beautiful view. There was also plenty of parking, which made getting in and out so easy. We would absolutely come back!

We're underdressed." Nevertheless, we drove out to find it (big red building on the right) and walked in wearing our sightseeing comfy clothes, windbreakers, and sneakers. The staff welcomed us warmly and we saw the others were likewise attired. The restaurant itself has stunning views of the water and bridge; well-spaced tables in an airy windowed setting; and a large fireplace to enjoy warming up next to after being out in the fog. The food was superb. If they have their duck on the menu when you go, do not miss out on the duck! I cannot stress how absolutely phenomenal the perfectly crisped skin and spot-on cook on the meat was. The perfectly creamy chowder was rich with seafood. The salmon was delicately handled and flavorful throughout. Do not miss stopping here. I know on our next PNW trip, we will definitely return.

It was absolutely outstanding! Every ingredient felt incredibly fresh and vibrant. The rich flavors of the grilled tempeh and the perfect tang of the sauerkraut paired beautifully with the hearty, fresh-baked rye. The service was also wonderful and incredibly thoughtful--they noticed we were sharing and kindly split the sandwich into two separate plates for us before bringing it out, which we truly appreciated. The only downside was the iced tea, which unfortunately tasted quite watered down and lacked flavor. Aside from that, it's a fantastic spot. If you're exploring the historic streets of Astoria and looking for high-quality, conscious food, this place is definitely worth a visit!

My most recent trip here was in summer 2025, and it was the first time I had lingering questions about the service and vibes. This time, I ordered a sandwich, and received the wrong item. At first, I didn't think much about it, so I ate it, but then my friend also noticed they received the wrong items. The table beside us outside seemed to have a similar experience, telling us after listening to our comedic complaints to ourselves. The espresso was good, but, my macchiato needed about 2cm more of froth. I hate to complain about that, but, it's just froth, so it's easy.
