This place was such a great surprise! We (a group of 10) had went to Illwaco docks to eat and found the place closed so ended up at Olde Towne and what a fortuitous happening. The atmosphere is comfy and cozy with beautiful water colors for sale on the walls. The food was so delicious! Everything we ordered was absolutely scrumptious (turkey pesto sandwich, sausage skillet, bacon panini, oatmeal and scratch made biscuits and gravy) with the standouts being sausage skillet and biscuits and gravy. They also had some yummy pastries and a wide selection of coffee drinks, chai, tea, soft drinks and Italian sodas. The staff/owners were so friendly, helpful and kind. Next trip to the Long Beach Peninsula will definitely include a stop at Old Towne Trading Post! read more

Our first visit to Ilwaco, WA could not have been a better experience. Kyle and his son, Wyatt are two of the nicest, most interesting people you will ever meet. The love they have for the town really shines through into their every day lives. The coffee was absolutely a treat, some of the best ever! We walked from my daughter's house every morning to enjoy a delicious breakfast and coffee, and conversations with truly wonderful people of this town. We will be back for sure! So the people were very nice. But the tuna "salad" sandwich was poor. The bread was dry, the tuna had very little mayo with some mustard. (Who puts mustard in tuna? Probably someone would like this added) with no pickle or anything. No lettuce no tomato, for $12. They said I would get chips but no chips were in the box. So my thought is that the new owners need to think about the food they're putting out there. This On a positive note, the brownies were very good. read more

Stopped in for breakfast to-go on our way to Cape Disappointment, and was charmed by the friendly staff, cute decor and lots of locals chatting or knitting together - and their adorable dogs. Parking was easy in the lot, ordering at the counter was quick thanks to the attentive staff and small menu, and I enjoyed looking out the window during the short wait. Popped in for coffee and breakfast. The drip coffee was excellent. The hardest part was choosing which mug to use. We had the Guatemalan blend. You order at the counter and they bring to you. We both ordered the panini with eggs and ham/bacon with cheese. Took awhile to get while not very busy. Guess they were made with love. I checked eggs and they were a little brown. I really dislike overcooked scrambled eggs. However, with everything put together it was really good. I had the bacon and wife had ham on hers. Inside is pretty cool with lots of stuff to check out while you wait. Menu for breakfast was pretty limited. I think they will make you something off menu as the table next to me had an omelette that was not on the menu. Not many places around for breakfast. I'd come back. read more

Horrible, slow, overpriced and undersized portions. The one (I suppose) sister that took the persons order after mine (she wasn't there when I ordered from the sister that was the 'chef') forgot what they ordered and where she put the order slip. When we got our food (sausage scramble with egg) for 2 of the 3 meals, it was about a half, small potato, one egg, half of a sausage link, half a piece of toast for 9.00. Highly recommend anyplace else. read more

I have to agree with the others on bad reviews. Portions were way too small for the price. 1 cup of potatoes, 1 piece of cheap toast, 1 egg for $13.00 (with tip). I feel like it wouldn't cost them much more to add an egg, a piece of toast and a little more potatoes. Got a side of the sausage gravy expecting it to be homemade. Clearly it was packages white gravy with a tiny bit of sausage added. I'm giving it 2 stars because it is a cute place, and would be a great place if you wanted to hang out and read for a little while. But, eat first. read more

I love Old Towne Trader & Coffee in Ilwaco, WA. Its a place where friends pop in and out, visit each other and the owners. Very cozy homey like atmosphere. It is not so much an antique store anymore, but they sell home brewing supplies now instead. A book rack or two if you want to read and be quiet. Old books are for sale there and other miscellaneous. The food is great. Luanne Hanes really knows how to cook. Home made soups every day. Everything she cooks a healthy portions, with taste and health in mind. Her homemade biscuits & gravy are delicious, and my favorite is her skillet breakfast, so good and clean. (never greasy) She also has several special smoothies, and most varieties of espresso drinks, even (my favorite) decaf espresso. Sometimes special desserts too. I loving having coffee there and breakfast and lunch! Its really like going to grandma's! And yes, she does make oatmeal and hot chocolate too! Try it, you'll love it. read more
