A+ experience! This place is super cute and delicious. I love that this place is in an old,…read morehistoric building. It has so much charm inside and out. Now the setup is that you walk up to the counter to order then they direct you to a table (inside or out, your preference) and bring you what you've ordered. You can also order to go. The food was super quick and delicious. We ordered the huevos rancheros with chorizo and ham & egg breakfast sandwich. Both were exceptionally well seasoned with lots of flavor. Eggs were perfectly runny for the rancheros and folded egg omelet was not dry on the sandwich. Crispy tortillas on the rancheros and house made chorizo was flavorful and not greasy. I'd say that this dish was not very spicy at all, I had to add cholula hot sauce which was conveniently on the table already. They have a bathroom in the basement, which you have to get through the kitchen. So, not accessible for all but it does have a diaper changing station available for the littles. Lots of seating choices: communal table, small tables, and window counter height seating plus outside tables in the back. Overall, will be back again with the kids since there were lots of families with smaller kids here so very family friendly.

Ham & Egg Breakfast Sandwich ($12.50) - good, I like the inclusion of mushrooms. Ham is quite salty.

Per other Yelp recommendations I see, I added cheddar, marinated tomato, and breakfast sausage. Hash brown on the side to round out a very filling and delicious breakfast! Small and bright interior, with maybe about ten smaller counter seats. There are a couple small benches outside as well. Sandwiches are hefty enough that I bet they hold up well taking them to go as well. This is the type of place I would bring out of town friends to to maximally show off what we have to offer here in Ann Arbor. Really delicious! Also, plenty of street parking directly in front on a Saturday at 8/8:30am, which is nice! I normally don't even try for street parking on Liberty since it tends to be so packed. Pays to be an earlier bird! There is also the very nearby Maynard/Thompson parking structure.

You order at the counter and eat on the go or sit by the windows to enjoy your meal. The cashier was kind enough to provide recommendations for first timers. The eggs are the jammiest and most perfect soft boiled eggs you can find in Ann Arbor. Highly recommended getting your sandwich on a brioche bun! They just started a rewards program where you can come back after your first visit to get a free hash brown. I will definitely be coming back!

Love the commitment…read moreto the whale/ocean theme - from decor to the menu and aquatic scenes on TV screens haha. I tried their Blue Whale namesake drink, and enjoyed! From the written menu, I thought this was going to be butterfly pea powder, cinnamon, almond milk, maple syrup, coconut whipped cream. However, when ordering the Blue Whale drink on the self serve order kiosk, it's described as "Blue Majik" spirulina/energy boosting botanicals (carbonated). The drink I got fit the latter's description. Would suggest updating the board :). I did get a little jittery afterwards, but unsure if that was from the "energy boosting" botanicals or from a coffee I had a couple hours earlier. (Or combo - I do tend to be more sensitive to caffeine, and assuming this drink was caffeine free.) Free WiFi and seating/outlets to do a bit of work here. Not a lot of seating for this, but it wasn't busy on a Thursday morning for a little work! Clean airy vibes, and convenient location in what I call the "Trader Joe's plaza".
