I had the Parmesan chicken club and would rate it a 8.5/10. Food is a little pricey but the chicken was very good, as well as the bacon. Definitely would recommend.

"Whole fresh avocado mashed with extra virgin olive oil, lemon juice, and a sprinkle of sea salt on grilled Parisian bread"

This place used to be my go to but I decided to try it again recently and this was the $7.00 avocado toast I was given. The girl who handed it me barely had the time to look up from her phone! Sad to see it's gone down hill.

I haven't been to Replenish yet (perhaps the reviews need to be divided into 2 separate businesses), but I have been to Revive a few times. The location is great. I miss the old Melrose apt. complex (that wasn't it's proper name, but that's what everyone called it), and I'm not quite sure how I feel about the design of the apartments here. However, Revive does fill a niche that isn't sufficiently fulled (surprisingly) by the other cafes and study-spots in the area. The vibe here is not "camp-out-with-your-laptop-for-hours," which is probably a good thing. They do have free wifi, and you're welcome to use your computer, but I haven't seen people monopolizing space much. They serve salads and some sandwiches, quick things that are easy enough to grab between classes (or meetings, if you're a non-student like me). I plan to go back to try a salad, because unfortunately, they first sandwich I had was pretty bad. I was only able to eat a small part of it. It had artichokes and it seemed that perhaps they were stored in oil and hadn't been drained or rinsed because there was a giant puddle of oil leaking from the sandwich. I'm not going to write them off based on that one experience, and I do think that the general idea and location are pluses, so it all averages out to just 2 stars, with the idea that I will probably be back at some point (and hoping to bump them up a little) if I my food is more edible.

Upon closer inspection I found ewwiness.

I'm currently eating a "Make Your Own Salad" from Revive. Since they charge by the item and not by weight I paid $7.30 for four grape tomatoes, a dried out grilled chicken breast, some romaine lettuce (that upon inspection has seen better days) and a teaspoon of blue cheese. That's what I get from trying to eat healthy on campus when I was craving Chipotle.

The culprit: Egg Quesadilla and Hot Chocolate.

In I feel awful, well almost feel awful as I'm doing this on their wifi - but three stars is a decent rating... Right? I didn't know what to order so I ordered the most breakfasty thing I could think of with a slight twist at the suggestion of a staff person. Egg Quesadilla, can that very easily go south? Apparently it can. Bland, tasteless scrambled eggs that even some salt and pepper jack cheese couldn't save. And it costs so much you can't just give it back and tell them to try again. I'm having one of those moments where I want to overrun the kitchen and prepare, at least the eggy meals on my own, for everyone's sake. Not to mention the Hot Chocolate, also something I could have done better on my own, which is NEVER how a patron of a cute little coffee shop or any kind of eating establishment wants to feel. Taste wise they're a two star at best. The service is what salvages that extra star, the staff are kind, smiley, and especially speedy with the clean up. There's just the most adorable older feelow who you can't help but appreciate. I just couldn't leave them HANGING, BUT they can do better, I'm almost positive, as far as the food goes. #JustSaying

This shop has various Indian spices , rice( basmati), lentils, tea, coffee, cooking oil, ghee and many more items. Very much like a regular grocery store. The main items though are various Bangladeshi fish (frozen) and meat. Chicken, mutton, lamb, beef are the usual items here. The owner is very friendly and understands the meat quality. They even take preorders if you have big events and need large amounts of meat or fish. They can cut the pieces as you desire. This shop have plenty of free parking space too. The only big issue it the pricing of the meat and fishes. They are quite high in comparison to the Bangladeshi stores in Hamtramck. We always buy fish and meat from Golam but recently we started to buy same items from Detroit area through our Frieda who live nearby and it costs us half the price. This is the only shop of this kind in this area so maybe the higher price is justified.

The exotic fruits like mangos and papayas are obviously shipped in, but they also offer many fruits and vegetables grown locally. Corn on the cob and bright red tomatoes from Michigan were on offer on a recent July afternoon. I have been to many ethnic groceries in the area, but this is the first where I've seen bitter melon, a common ingredient in Indian dishes, available. In addition to produce, they have a meat counter, many dried and canned beans, and an astounding array of snack mixes. Some small flies were buzzing around some of the plums in an unappetizing way, and several of the mangoes and pears were looking dried and past their peak of freshness. Other items, especially the local Michigan produce, looked really good. They were running a special on watermelons the day I stopped in.

I didn't need a ton of items so I was in and out pretty quick but some seasonal items always catches my eye, so I of course bought more than I needed. All in all another solid TJ.

They always help me out to the car when I look overwhelmed and they hand me flowers when I'm having a bad day. Their flower selection is phenomenal and I can find a ton of specialty foods at reasonable prices . Like any specialty niche food joint they do have some problems with keeping things in stock at different times but it's not their fault it usually depends on the supply chain. I have had so many good experiences talking to cashiers or working with management or looking for things in the store where people have dropped everything just to help me or to give the kids stickers just to make them smile. I can't say enough good things about Trader Joe's. Definitely a Trader Joe's customer for life. I will say their parking lot really sucks though!
