I love everything here and was surprised I hadn't reviewed The Hat Glendora on Yelp yet! My go-to's are the avocado sandwich on a roll, grilled cheese on sourdough, onion rings, gravy fries, and chili fries with pickles on top... but not all at once! Portions are fairly large. I do wish they offered smaller portions of their sides. I always have to coordinate eating from here with at least two other people who want exactly the same sides. Shorter lines inside and didn't have to wait too long for our food given the lines outside and people waiting inside. Overall good experience, the age of the place is comforting, like it could've been a house before it turned into a restaurant. The food is good and reasonably priced I got a chili dog, onion rings, and a drink, all around 15 dollars for the meal, the chili dog was good if structurally weak, fell apart within the first 2 bites, and the onion rings were hot out the fryer. I didn't hear them call out my order so that may have been why the chili dog got a bit messy, but not long enough for anything to be cold. It's a welcome spot for a meal every once in a while but not often enough to be a known regular. read more

The Hat used to be my favorite place to get Chili Cheese Fries because you used to get a good amount for the price you pay. But now, it's pretty ridiculous and IMO you can get better quality at a local mom and pop shop rather than The Hat. Don't get me wrong, it's still good. But it's just way overpriced now. The menu states $7.29 for Chili Fries, if you want to add cheese it will cost you an additional $2.50. So after tax you're paying $10.79 for an order of Chili Cheese Fries. They also used to fill the entire container but now it's just 3/4th filled. Still a good amount for two people, but I remember when it would feed 4+ people. My husband and I visited on a Friday night. As we drove up we saw a line of cars waiting for the drive thru extending out the street! We're like WTH let's just park, go in, and order. There was no line! Not sure why anyone in their right mind would spend all that time waiting in the car? It was super fast, we ordered, and got our food in less than 5 minutes. I was a bit dissatisfied to say the least... You pay a little over $12 plus tax for just the sandwich the meat, or should I say the lack of it the bread was thick but the meat was Harpy there I was not happy to say the least... Before covid the pastrami was packed full you could barely finish it.... We went to the one in Alhambra, and it was the same thing so we decided to drive out to route 66 and see if it was any different... 'NOPE" the meat was just as lacking... Everything look good and tasted good That was my only complaint that for the price it should have been a lot more meat. read more

After not having been there in about a year, I'm happy to say that my experience was just as great as I remembered it. I ordered three pastrami sandwiches with fries and onion rings, and I was blown away by how delicious everything was, maybe I was dead hungry at that time, but that meal just hit the spot. The pastrami was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the bread was fresh and chewy. I appreciated that they didn't skimp on the meat, even though I could tell that the portion sizes have shrunk a bit due to inflation. But despite the slightly smaller portions, the quality of the food was still top-notch. Omg! In N Out move out the way, wow their burgers are so yummy and simple, their fries are steak fries but you have to get the gravy with it! It's so good and warm tasting. This location has a drive thru, it also has indoor seating with restrooms. They are so busy on Sundays! Service is exceptional, the cashier gave us everything we asked for! The ambiance is very chill, a lot of families dine here. They are known for their pastrami sandwich, but their chili burger is bomb too!
