Plaza Produce is the kind of place that makes you wish you lived in the neighborhood. Honestly, I'd probably eat there every single day if I could. Their sandwiches are the No.1 pick for me--so good. You can order online or just call, pick it up, and you're set. They've got popular ones ready to go, or you can build your own. After trying a bunch, my go-to is the Turkey Berry, or basically anything with their cranberry sauce on it. It just works. And don't even get me started on their hot dinners. I've had the pastas, the beef stroganoff, shepherd's pie, meatloaf, pot roast... all of it. You really can't go wrong. It's all just solid, delicious, comfort food. The staff are always so friendly. They also have a salad bar, which I haven't got a chance to try yet. On the outside, this looks like a small grocery store but, inside is an entire functional restaurant / meat market without the seating inside. Their produce is fresh and they sell tons of different items like candy, wine, cookies and even breads. I've tried a few different loafs and they didn't disappoint. I've also tried their desserts they have at the register and they are amazing! My go to order is a Chicken Salad sandwich on Squaw bread. The salad mixture is sweet and savory and full of texture thanks to the walnuts. They also sell great cold pastas and different side dishes such as mac n cheese, baked potatoes and gravy. We have been coming to this market for about 10 years, after the first few visits you begin to understand why you don't visit it more often. They have precooked or ready to cook entrees, we have tried several, the portions are good, but you have to doctor it up considerably to make what you like. At least this has been our experience. Gonna be honest, I haven't been here in a good while so service could've changed for all I know and I hope it did! I love the food. Can't say anything bad about the food, I loved it. Sadly though they had the rudest people working there and that ruined it for me. I stopped going there because of it and I was going at least once a month. Snobby and just plain terrible ugly attitudes from the people at the cash register. I had a lot of friends a co workers say the same and stopped going. I may try again and see if things have changed but for the years I went there they were always rude so I don't have high hopes. My husband and I stopped by this store a few Thursdays ago, around 10 am. We ended up purchasing a small aluminum baking container of Cheezy Scalloped Potatoes ($9.99) and of Roasted Potatoes with Bell Pepper and Onions ($8.99). Both were very tasty and was quite a large portion that easily fed more than 6 people at a family gathering (as a side). In the deli, you can also purchase salads, sandwiches and soups. You can also purchase deli meats, such as salami and ham, etc. Although I have read numerous of comments mentioned in previous Yelp reviews that service is not friendly, I was lucky to have friendly service at the deli. There is outdoor seating that is partially covered from the sun. This would be a great place to grab a lunch and eat there if you want, even a good place to grab lunch with a friend with the tasty choices they have. I'll definitely be back. read more

The Suzi's special sandwich is really good but next time I'll order it with mustard. It was missing an acidic element. I ordered a turf sandwich platter for a work event and I have a suggestion for the owners. You might want to consider changing the rolls you use. The rolls are dense and dry which doesn't make for a good sandwich no matter how much condiments you put on it. For that reason I had to give it a three star rating. Stopped in for one of their legendary homemade sandwiches but was quickly guided by their dinner menu! They make everything in house. I spoke to the gentleman who makes all the food and he described each dish, what they're known for, what's popular and what to pair with the main dishes. I got their "famous meatloaf." I recently moved to the area and also recently heard of this App called "Too Good To Go" which tries to eliminate waste by selling food that is going to go bad soon/surplus food. A lot of bakeries and coffee shops are on the App but there is also the random pizza shop and small grocery store. All of this to say, I purchased a Surprise Bag on the App. It doesn't tell you what you're going to get but Plaza Peoduce did have a high rating (4.9 put of 5). I ended up with a lemon loaf, chicken pot pie and scalloped/cheesy red potatoes. Taste wise, the pot pie was pretty salty and the scalloped potatoes were a bit under cooked despite baking them at 375 degrees for 40 minutes. It is a very good deal but the reason for the 4 stars is because the food isn't labeled. You really don't know what you're getting and there are no heating instructions so you have to guess and just constantly check the oven. This place does seem popular for their sandwiches. 12/03/2018 Searching around for something good to eat almost sounds like that Halloween song. I am now avoiding Starbucks that are part of the entrance to supermarkets. Just not as satisfying as the sandwiches I get here. What does help are the amazing photos some people have taken. I always like to order the Italian sub or sandwich depending on the place. Ordering at the counter, the person asked me half or whole sandwich, no hesitation, whole sandwich please. What kind of bread, now that stumped me. I really wanted to flash the photo for them to see so I get the same one. It's on a roll which is the popular way to order this sandwich. Extra dressing and add some onions would make it that much better. You have indoor and outdoor patio seating. Napkins are located where the soda fountains are in the corner. I had the coffee once but I just want to sit down and concentrate on this sandwich. I always order the sandwich to go but this week I had to sit down. So easy to inhale this sandwich that I didn't need a side salad. I did see their fruit tarts in the display. Perhaps next time I order half a sandwich and the fruit tart.
