A most near second is the braised short rib, served with a delectable and cloud-soft heap of mashed potatoes. Of lesser note were the wagyu tacos, pigs in a blanket, and the maple pecan butter cake, which proved but ordinary in their savor. Why gave I it four? - Forsooth, the service remaineth most excellent, the choices ample, and the fare overall commendable. Know thou, many of the draughts afore-mentioned were priced for happy hour as a small note. Of those dishes deemed but middling, the wagyu tacos and pigs in a blanket lacked that wondrous spark upon the tongue. Lastly, the dry-aged ribeye, though served with seasoning apart, did taste somewhat over-salted to mine palate. Yet, these faults did not greatly diminish mine experience for I retain my favored dishes and shall return anon. Verdict? - Shouldst thou find thyself near Claremont, prithee give it a try, for it is a place most grand.

Steak and burger were ok. Fries weren't to my liking as they were the soft kind. However, if you're looking for a local steakhouse in the Inland Empire then it's still worth a visit as Meat Cellar is up there on the IE list (probably top 5).

First Visit Great experience. I was kindly greeted with a…read moresmile from Alex at the counter. Alex was sharpening some knives, a great first impression! After browsing and checking on the pricing. The pricing appeared to be reasonable, slightly expensive. However, that's to be expected. For one, the quality of the Meat. And yes, the economy. Outrageous increase in the cost of Meat. So unfortunate. On my way out, a had great conversation with Alex. His passion and warm personality really set the ambiance. Although, I did not make a purchase, I plan to on my next visit. So yes, I highly recommend to stop in. Again, to support the local and historic community. Thank You for reading

We ended up buying some heart and liver that costs around $10 together. Affordable and competitive pricing for meats and smaller shelf items as well. The layout of the store is great with an awesome logo and just a professional feel to the place while having a butcher shop feel to it. Andrew was very kind and hospitable in helping us find what we need. Tons of parking outside may need to park on street during busier hours. They had a Wagyu steak which was cool to see. Overall, great meat shop in Claremont!

The owner and her daughter know our son by name and shower him with attention every time we come in for taco Tuesdays, fees like family. My son says it's his favorite spot so we always go back.

Larios Market was recommended to me by a wonderful fellow Yelper. You know who you are. Thank you!…read more I wanted to get guacamole, salsa, and chips for a team potluck lunch. I got rave reviews on these items that they are super good at Larios so here I am to confirm. This market is located at the corner of Barranca Ave and Arrow Highway in Covina. It's actually a meat market, but they sell produce and other food/dry items plus hot foods. It's a very small place with maybe 3-4 tight aisles. I went straight to the refrigeration area. I saw lots of different salsas and a handful of guacamole. At first glance, the appearance of the guac did not look appealing to me. It looked brown and kind of watery at the top. I was hesitant to get them, but since they were recommended, I got 3 of them. Now looking back, I should have only gotten one just to try them. It was not that great IMHO. Maybe they were not made that day and have been hanging around for a day or so. However, the roasted red salsa was really really good... I would highly recommend this one. Pico de gallo was decent. Crab ceviche was just okay... too much of the V8 taste. I ended up buying 6 containers and spent over $50 on guac and salsa. Probably more than I need. I didn't bother with the chips as they look more on the oily side. Anyway, staff was nice and helpful. Check out was fast as it wasn't super busy at the time. Parking is limited. They do have a few tables and stools outside in front of the market for those who want to eat here after their food purchase. I'm not sure if I would come back for the guac, but I may come back for the roasted red salsa and possibly their tacos and burritos.

They cut off all our ties!! Which honestly, it made for such a fun, unique experience, and I could totally see myself coming back From the moment you walk inside, you're greeted with walls full of previously snipped ties, which was pretty cool to see and definitely added to the anticipation haha As for food, we ordered the Space Dusts, Orange Tequila Martini, Steak & Chicken, Grilled Salmon, baked potatoes, beans, cornbread, and side salads. The steak and salmon were great and I loved that the baked potatoes were a good size and came with cheese, sour cream, green onions, and butter. The ranch for the side salad was also perfectly creamy. Overall, I really enjoyed our dinner and the memories we made that day :)

Went here last night for dinner with my boyfriend's family for his brothers bday!…read more I haven't been here in over 10 years, I know this is a San Dimas staple. Its dark, rustic, lively, & all about comfort food. I remember all the quirks to this place & think the whole tie idea is hilarious so I told my boyfriend to make sure to wear one! Haha It was a packed house when we arrived, parking lot & restaurant. We got seated right away since we had reservations so that was helpful! Service was great we had a nice lady who got us all we needed throughout the night! As for the food... mmm there are some things that lacked. The bread wasn't the best, it was dense not soft, plain, not warm pretty much nothing to it. We all ordered different cuts of steak, the trail boss (which was okay I feel like it lacked in seasoning or just salt but the cook was fine) cowboy steak (which we ordered medium rare but came out medium/ medium well) so they were nice enough to bring him a new one so that was great on the service part, everyone else liked their options from the ribeye (he actually just wished there was a bone in ribeye), the NY steak & the filet they all enjoyed. As for the sides, Mac & cheese was just okay. The sautéed mushrooms were good! Corn bread was tasty! Baked beans were alright. The staff also sang happy birthday & gave ice cream to my boyfriend's brother for this bday! They did cut the tie off my boyfriend which we all found humorous & fun! To wrap it up. About 4 TVs and they had different sporting events showing Service- this is where it started to go south. Your front of the house and those few minutes that a new customer has is crucial. Not very friendly and not really acknowledging the people that were standing waiting to be seated. Finally got a table, gave us menus and then 15 minutes go by and they haven't taken our order for drinks. As I look around there were 4 tables that had been seated, as well and no drink orders. We all waited about the same amount of time to get our drink orders. This unfortunately is why i took off 2 stars. To me, this unacceptable. After being seated and food came out, no one checked in until I needed a box and to pay. Did not feel welcomed and /or appreciated that I was supporting a small local business. Food- Brisket without the BBQ didn't have enough flavor. These types of meat don't need a hype man- the BBQ sauce. They need to be good on their own. Buuut Meat was tender. I read that their sausage is not great it's quite dry so I skipped it, my son had ordered ribs so I was going to steal from him, so I decided to get chicken- dark meat options. Chicken was very tasty, juicy and tender. It was the star of the dinner plate!!! Whaat!!! Their coleslaw- loved how everything was chopped nice and consistent- loved the Julienned green apples- again missing seasoning. DINNER ROLLS- Soooo fucken dry and not warmed up. I expect that level of hardness on my rolls when they are about to expire. Warm them up put them in a basket and give me butter. Such a small - perhaps minute action- but it was a huge miss. Other patrons were also commenting how bad the rolls were. We even joked, "death by dinner roll! " LOL. Cornbread- small portion but packed with flavor. I would say ease up on the Honey. I want to taste the corn bread too. It's unfortunate, I didn't have the experience others have had. Most likely not going to add it to my new restaurant rotation. There are other better options with better customer service.
