The food is freshly cooked since I heard the stove sizzling in the background. Concerning ambiance, Loving Hut (Glendora) is very plain. No music plays. There's two small flat TVs. One plays an asian channel while the other plays a repeating screensaver. Thankfully, the Loving Hut (Glendora) is well-ventilated and airy. Also, the tables are very smooth and clean. Unfortunately, the floors needed several more sweeps as many bits of crumbs and trash laid under a few tables. The Loving Hut (Glendora) has plain ambiance that's comparable to a large generic donut shop. Overall, Loving Hut (Glendora) created a very pleasant experience. My daughter discovered there's a Loving Hut in Glendora, and now she's acting like it's Disneyland but w tofu. We found ourselves eating here again for dinner. This place is a vegan dream like, real vegan!!! No eggs, no dairy, no chicken broth sneak attacks, and not even granulated sugar unless it's monk-blessed and plant-approved. Basically, if it once mooed, clucked, or buzzed, it's not on the menu. We dove into the Spicy Lemongrass Chick'Un which tastes suspiciously like it might've gone to culinary school... absolutely delicious and exactly how I remember it from my other past-life Loving Hut adventures. The Pandan Cake was soft, green, and probably what clouds would taste like in vegan heaven!! Bonus: grabbed some Vegan Jerky and Vegan Slices for DIY stir-fry nights (because who doesn't want to pretend they're a plant-based Iron Chef?). I saw this vegan style restaurant on the map and wanted to give it a try based on the pictures and the positive reviews. Upon walking in, the place was empty and quiet, but I was greeted by the cheery owner who was ready to help. I was eyeing the cakes, and decided to try a slice of Ube and Pandan. I wasn't sure what Pandan was but she explained that it was a vietnamese style vanilla. Praise the Lord. These cakes were amazingly delicious. They were light but moist, with a perfect amount of sweetness. The Ube is self explanatory Filipino perfection, but the Pandan included a nice touch of coconut to go with the Pandan leaf falvor. There were less than 10 ingredients per cake, and of course, you would not even question if they are vegan. Just perfect cake! I swear on my grandmother's dog.... I ordered the eggplant medley with brown rice and a slice of the double chocolate cake. I love tofu and eggplant, so I enjoyed the medley. The sauce does have a bit of heat (slightly spicy) but it's not overpowering. The cake was very light, which was nice after eating a meal. It is not a dense cake made with butter or cream, so if you are used to that type of cake this will seem very different. I liked it and am interested to try their other cake flavors. I'll definitely come back and try other entrees from their menu too, at some point, or just get the eggplant again as it was filling but light. The crunch was perfect and it even came with mint and a fish sauce like dipping sauce. I am not sure what was in the dipping sauce but it reminded me of the traditional fish sauce. First time dining here, to my surprise, there were several Asian dishes on the menu. I enjoyed speaking to the man who ran the restaurant as much as trying the food. I had dumplings and eggplant with brown rice. I thought the dumplings were a little bland but it made me question if I had been over using soy sauce at other restaurants. The eggplant was delicious and brown rice cooked just right. I was relieved to get freshly cooked rice (as I've often been served dry, reheated rice at other places). Unlike the dumplings, eggplant was salty but I scraped off the sauce and it was fine with a rice chaser. My review is based on the pandan cake. I saw my yelp friend, Nevin, post her review of the moist spongy cake and had to check it out myself. The size of the cake slice is huge! As soon as I opened the container, I got a whiff of delicious pandan and coconut. The cake is spongy, moist and light. The texture of the cream is light and airy. The cake is not dense at all and every bite was lip smacking delicious. The vegan restaurant is located in a plaza off Azusa with plenty of parking. Once you step into Loving Hut, it is charming. Very cute pins and trinkets at the cash register. Service is really friendly and they were bringing out fresh cakes on the afternoon. The pad thai is pretty good as well, though not quite as amazing as the eggplant medley. I prefer a milder spice level, so their gentle heat suits me just fine. I also tried the spring rolls, which were great, especially paired with the dipping sauce. The tiramisu cake, however, was a 3/5 for me--it tasted like most other vegan cakes out there. Their pandan cake was very moist and was not too sweet which I thoroughly enjoyed! Everything was tasty and delicious. It's a small spot with a few tables and another small "market" area where they sell vegan products and healthy drinks in the fridge. Loving hut is clean and their vegan food is really good! wow! We're glad that they just opened a new "Loving Hut Vegan market & cafe" in Glendora. We found it out via Nextdoor Neighborhood app and I also follow their IG. We used to go to the "Loving Hut" in Alhambra many years ago. We have been to the one in Claremont before they closed. We miss this place a lot. This new vegan cafe is located on Grand and just off 210 Fwy. The place is small & cozy with a few tables inside but it's clean and simple. The atmosphere was welcoming and the owner was friendly. We ordered our favorite drumsticks, classic burger with impossible meat, Route 66 Sub, Philly sandwich, and lemon sour cream cake, apple sparkling juice, and Sanpellegrino Italian sparkling OJ. The drumsticks- Crispy breaded drumsticks served with carrots, celery sticks, and ranch dipping sauce. highly recommended! We miss this flavor for a while (they used to call it "Lucky Drumsticks" at the other location before) and the dipping sauce was also delicious. It was as good as before or even better. All the burgers and sandwiches tasted great and they all served with French fries or salad (we all chose fries). They put generous amount of vegges and "meat" inside. The Philly soy steak strips (seasoned beefless slices) with vegan mozzarella cheese, red and green bell peppers, mushroom and house-made mayo on Dutch crunchy rolls and french fries. It was so delicious! The classic burger (added impossible meat) with lettuce, carmelized onion and mushroom, tomatoes, pickles and house-made mayo, the taste was perfectly blended. the Route 66 Sub filled with "tuna", lettuce, cucumber, Tomato, cilantro and house-made mayo. The "tuna" tasted like real tuna, it tasted amazing even though I opt-out cilantro. We also like the French fries as well. Dessert: don't forget to order desserts there!!! We wanted to order pandan cake but it was sold out so we ordered lemon sour cream cake instead. The cake made with sour cream, flavored with tart lemon zest, and topped with a sweet, lemony frosting. I learned about this new Loving Hut location recently through Instagram. Upon driving up to the restaurant, I liked the amount of parking. Upon entering the restaurant, we were warmly greeted by the restaurant staff. The restaurant is spacious and in addition to hot food made to order, there is also with a variety of vegan items for sale including oatmeal, jerky, candy bars, pet food, and wine. Be aware that since the restaurant is newly open, there is no menu available for viewing yet but it's coming soon. Hubby ordered the combo plate which consisted of curry tofu with potato, brown rice, spicy tofu, and Korean style glass noodles. Hubby said curry was very good and would definitely have it again. I had sushi with vegan shrimp, vegan fried rice and Korean style glass noodles. The vegan sushi was perfectly packed with cucumber, carrots, and vegan cream cheese (I think.) The shrimp was well cooked and crispy. The vegan fried rice was flavorful with peas, carrots, and tofu. The Korean style noodles acts as a good palate cleanser along with the other food on my plate. I also appreciated that the restaurant provides free water to drink along with your meal if you decide not to purchase a soda. I was also able to sample their "Route 66" vegan tuna sandwich with lettuce and tomato which was cool and refreshing as well as have a slice of red velvet cake for dessert which was sweet and moist. The all gender bathroom provides a soothing bathroom experience by having colorful artwork as well as a large basin sink to wash your hands, and a bottle of room spray if needed.
