    Thai tea

Randomly felt like thai food and found this spot and im so glad i came in! 10/10 food! 10/10 service! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's such a small restaurant but is very comfy which i loved![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The best part personally was the thai tea! I had been craving a good one for a while and this place genuinely blew me away :,) so many other places are a miss, with it either being too milky or not very tasty! I was so happy The Tom yum soup also hit the spot! It was sour but savory and had lots of shrimp! It reminded me of another restaurant in LA thats too far so this was perfect! I cant wait to show the rest of my family this spot Also the prices are so reasonable and at this point unbeatable with this economy

Their fish cake is very good! We also order the Singapore style noodle and Hawaiian fried rice! Both are tasty! Their boba Thai tea large is huge and it's worth to drink, but I should order less sweet next time. It's a good place to come over and their price is very fair!

I had never heard of this restaurant. They're in a small strip mall and I never noticed it passing by. The owner posted something on Facebook today and that's how I found out about them. I checked out their photos here on yelp and it all looked really good, so I had to give it a try. I ordered the basil shrimp and the prik king with ground chicken, and it was all absolutely delicious!! I will definitely be back again. They even threw in some eggrolls. And the owner Anne was so awesome and so friendly!!

I recently visited Phang Roy Thai restaurant and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and portion sizes. I started with the chicken satay, which was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, a great introduction to the meal. The highlight, however, was the Phang Roy beef salad. It was fresh, well-seasoned, and had just the right amount of heat--definitely one of the best beef salads I've had in a while. The Phang Roy rice was another standout, offering a generous serving that paired well with the other dishes. Overall, the portions were more than fair for the price, and it felt like great value for the money. I highly recommend giving Phang Roy a try, not only for the delicious food but also to support a local gem. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area! This review emphasizes the great quality, portion sizes, and the importance of supporting local businesses. it a small 2 table family restaurant.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Tiny place (no AC).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Menu was as expected. We got the Tom Yum soup, green curry and drunken noodles. No lunch specials and $5 for shrimp added to dishes. At first I thought it was just meh with canned green beans in the curry etc but the longer the food sat the better the flavors developed. Spice level (medium) was perfect for us with heat enough to clear you out but not enough to ruin your tastes.

humble little mom & pop shop located in a random plaza in azusa :") the food was decent in flavor, but the highlight was the texture for me! the noodles of the pad thai ($12.5) and pad see ew ($12.5) were all so QQ & had the perfect bounce imo. the chicken satay ($9) was juicy & not dry. total was around $40 after tip. really good portion sizes tho! had leftovers to take home after. the staff was super friendly and nice, checking up on us as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]the overall ambiance of the establishment was just alright. feels like it was a little run down & hasnt been updated to be modern in a while, but not bad.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]its a small restaurant with ample seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] parking is in a shared lot amongst other businesses, be warned the spots might be tight if you have a larger car! i also think the area that this restaurant is located at, is a bit sketch at night lol.. overall, a very average experience, 3.5/5!

Perfect Thai food that does not disappoint! Was looking for dinner place and found this little gem. We had try many different Thai food places around the area and I found this place to be the most flavorful and with a generous portion. We order the Thai fried rice, spicy basil chicken, drunken noodle and Tom yum soup. The fried rice and drunken noodle was packed with flavor! The basil chicken had a lot of chicken and plenty of basil and onions. The Tom yum soup was sour and a hint of sweet with mushroom and chicken. Overall this is the best Thai place I have try so far around the area and will def reorder in the future.

6 Pieces Chicken Satay - flavorless

I do believe the high ratings are due solely to location. This is not a bastion for Asian cuisine of any kind and is sort of a rough area. I don't think I'll be coming to many more restaurants in this Azusa-ish area. I haven't really been swayed by any of the places I've tried, this Thai restaurant included. Located in a small corner strip mall, the place seemed sketchy from the get go not only because it was so tiny and run down looking, but there were broken windows cardboarded up. Still, we decide to give it a go. It wasn't inedible, but we weren't a fan of anything either. Parking was easy. Service was friendly. We decided not to go crazy trying a lot, so we got the chicken sate, which I'm sorry to say was completely flavorless. The spicy basil chicken was just mediocre. And the pad see ew was not great. With so many good Thai restaurants across the Los Angeles area and the SGV, I can't see any reason to go back to this one. Maybe if you are a local, this is the best you can get around here. If so, I'm sorry. I'm simply not a fan.

This family-owned spot is such a hidden gem. You can really taste the care they put into their food. The tom yum soup is amazing.

Did you change your sizes for rice because I am getting small containers even though I order large? I know what a large size is, am I being cheated

Thank you for your business. No we have not change the size for rice. We are sorry if you are not happy with the portion.

    Any coupon codes?

Oh believe me you don't need coupons here. The portion of food is totally like you already used coupons. It's a lot for the price.??

The ambiance is more like a family owned diner, nothing fancy but also quite comfortable They offer lunch specials at very reasonable prices. The pad thai and pad see euw are always reliable, I personally haven't tried their curry dishes but I've had friends who thought it was quite good and were satisfied with their meal. Service is prompt and attentive. I didn't have to wait very long for my meal. I'm not an expert at Thai food, nonetheless I'm going to venture the food here is more authentic than other places I've dined at. For example, sometimes I've had pad thai that was too sweet, that's not the issue here. I really want to see this place continue to be successful. It's a comfortable place perfect for lunch and serves the students and staff at the nearby schools (Azusa Pacific and Citrus College) quite well with their food, service, and prices.

Went close to 6:00 pm and there were plenty of parking spots available in a shared plaza. It wasn't busy at the time so I was able to get my order quickly. Everything was ready and packed when I got there! I appreciate that they put the peanuts in a separate container. For the order, I got the Pad Thai and the combo platter. The pad thai was on the sweeter side. I got my order with pork as the protein choice. I felt if a lime was provided, it would help balance out the flavors of the noodles. The peanut was kept in a separate container, which I appreciated. The platter consists of a variety of items from dumplings, egg rolls, cream cheese wonton, wonton, and shrimp tempura. The container had holes to allow for the steam to escape, so most of the items were still crispy. Nothing from the platter particularly stands out in taste, besides possibly cream cheese wonton. Overall, it felt like an okay option if you're in the area.

I really wanted to love Couwami Asian Fusion!…read more The small, family run restaurant cozily braided into a strip mall one block south of the 210 FWY on Azusa had piqued my interest when I'd ferried an Uber Eats order from there on SAT. Interest captured by the vivid scents wafting from the kitchen and the mostly positive Yelp reviews, I boomeranged back 24 hrs later to place my maiden order. I went with Shanghai Egg Rolls and the Yang Chow Fried Rice, but I'd asked them to substitute more chicken and Chinese sausage for the shrimp, as your favorite Yelp correspondent has never enjoyed shrimp in any form other than cocktails. The staff is exceedingly nice!!! Owner/proprietor JOSEPH and his wife skate around as balls of determined energy, but with welcoming smiles affixed to their faces. The prices are pretty reasonable- My tab for a generous multi-protein entree and appetizer was $19.34 including taxes. But can we please have a conversation about the flavors? Couwami partisans! Tell me-- Did your faithful correspondent order the wrong items?! My Shanghai Egg Rolls were undercooked, limp and flaccid. The flavors were solid but the texture was so off-putting and uncharacteristic for a typical egg rolls, that I could barely get them down. The Yang Chow Fried Rice was also undercooked- I'm used to fried rice that has a toasted, beigy-yellow finish with chicken or pork cooked to at least medium to medium well doneness. My entree was, as the picture attest, a faint ivory hue and I actually hadta toss it in my skillet for five minutes to toast up the rice and finish cooking the tendrils of chicken, which were served medium rare, a micro-degree above pink but with the unpleasant mouth feel of sushi. Not exactly the way you'd expect your proteins to be prepared! I'm a huge believer in redemption. And judging by the hundreds of 4.2 level reviews on Yelp, I suppose its possible I just caught the cook on a bad night or ordered the WDT (Wrong Damn Thing)...twice! I'd normally accord two stars but will bump this up to three based on the utter civility and decency that Joseph and his staff extended to me.
