    Chicken satay

Their fish cake is very good! We also order the Singapore style noodle and Hawaiian fried rice! Both are tasty! Their boba Thai tea large is huge and it's worth to drink, but I should order less sweet next time. It's a good place to come over and their price is very fair!

Randomly felt like thai food and found this spot and im so glad i came in! 10/10 food! 10/10 service! It's such a small restaurant but is very comfy which i loved! The best part personally was the thai tea! I had been craving a good one for a while and this place genuinely blew me away :,) so many other places are a miss, with it either being too milky or not very tasty! I was so happy The Tom yum soup also hit the spot! It was sour but savory and had lots of shrimp! It reminded me of another restaurant in LA thats too far so this was perfect! I cant wait to show the rest of my family this spot Also the prices are so reasonable and at this point unbeatable with this economy

I recently visited Phang Roy Thai restaurant and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and portion sizes. I started with the chicken satay, which was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, a great introduction to the meal. The highlight, however, was the Phang Roy beef salad. It was fresh, well-seasoned, and had just the right amount of heat--definitely one of the best beef salads I've had in a while. The Phang Roy rice was another standout, offering a generous serving that paired well with the other dishes. Overall, the portions were more than fair for the price, and it felt like great value for the money. I highly recommend giving Phang Roy a try, not only for the delicious food but also to support a local gem. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area! This review emphasizes the great quality, portion sizes, and the importance of supporting local businesses. it a small 2 table family restaurant.

    Drunken Noodles

Tiny place (no AC). Menu was as expected. We got the Tom Yum soup, green curry and drunken noodles. No lunch specials and $5 for shrimp added to dishes. At first I thought it was just meh with canned green beans in the curry etc but the longer the food sat the better the flavors developed. Spice level (medium) was perfect for us with heat enough to clear you out but not enough to ruin your tastes.

humble little mom & pop shop located in a random plaza in azusa :") the food was decent in flavor, but the highlight was the texture for me! the noodles of the pad thai ($12.5) and pad see ew ($12.5) were all so QQ & had the perfect bounce imo. the chicken satay ($9) was juicy & not dry. total was around $40 after tip. really good portion sizes tho! had leftovers to take home after. the staff was super friendly and nice, checking up on us as well. the overall ambiance of the establishment was just alright. feels like it was a little run down & hasnt been updated to be modern in a while, but not bad. its a small restaurant with ample seating. parking is in a shared lot amongst other businesses, be warned the spots might be tight if you have a larger car! i also think the area that this restaurant is located at, is a bit sketch at night lol.. overall, a very average experience, 3.5/5!

Perfect Thai food that does not disappoint! Was looking for dinner place and found this little gem. We had try many different Thai food places around the area and I found this place to be the most flavorful and with a generous portion. We order the Thai fried rice, spicy basil chicken, drunken noodle and Tom yum soup. The fried rice and drunken noodle was packed with flavor! The basil chicken had a lot of chicken and plenty of basil and onions. The Tom yum soup was sour and a hint of sweet with mushroom and chicken. Overall this is the best Thai place I have try so far around the area and will def reorder in the future.

6 Pieces Chicken Satay - flavorless

I do believe the high ratings are due solely to location. This is not a bastion for Asian cuisine of any kind and is sort of a rough area. I don't think I'll be coming to many more restaurants in this Azusa-ish area. I haven't really been swayed by any of the places I've tried, this Thai restaurant included. Located in a small corner strip mall, the place seemed sketchy from the get go not only because it was so tiny and run down looking, but there were broken windows cardboarded up. Still, we decide to give it a go. It wasn't inedible, but we weren't a fan of anything either. Parking was easy. Service was friendly. We decided not to go crazy trying a lot, so we got the chicken sate, which I'm sorry to say was completely flavorless. The spicy basil chicken was just mediocre. And the pad see ew was not great. With so many good Thai restaurants across the Los Angeles area and the SGV, I can't see any reason to go back to this one. Maybe if you are a local, this is the best you can get around here. If so, I'm sorry. I'm simply not a fan.

    Fried Calamari

We were in the area and felt like having Thai for lunch so found this spot on Yelp. Parking was in a small strip mall, not a lot of spots but it was not busy since it was Sunday around 2pm. It's a pretty small place with maybe 10 tables but clean and well maintained. There was one other couple dining when we arrived so not too busy and we got pretty decent service. We ordered the below dishes: Fried calamari (3.5/5): this was fresh and crispy, nothing super special but fried calamari is usually good. Very cute plating with the boat plate and section for sweet and sour dipping sauce. Singapore style noodle (3.5/5): not the best I've had, I wish the curry flavor was a little more pronounced and too heavy on the onions and not enough noodles. Massamun curry (3/5): I'm still on the hunt for a place that makes Massamun curry with stewed beef. I think they used regular flank steak and wasn't as tender as I would've liked. The flavor was also not quite as rich as it should have been, it seemed light handed on the spices. My rating is more of a 3.5 as the food was decent but not quite standout. I would not likely go out of my way to come here but could see this as a regular option if I lived close by as the prices were very reasonable.

Thank you for your business. No we have not change the size for rice. We are sorry if you are not happy with the portion.

    Any coupon codes?

Oh believe me you don't need coupons here. The portion of food is totally like you already used coupons. It's a lot for the price.??

Went close to 6:00 pm and there were plenty of parking spots available in a shared plaza. It wasn't busy at the time so I was able to get my order quickly. Everything was ready and packed when I got there! I appreciate that they put the peanuts in a separate container. For the order, I got the Pad Thai and the combo platter. The pad thai was on the sweeter side. I got my order with pork as the protein choice. I felt if a lime was provided, it would help balance out the flavors of the noodles. The peanut was kept in a separate container, which I appreciated. The platter consists of a variety of items from dumplings, egg rolls, cream cheese wonton, wonton, and shrimp tempura. The container had holes to allow for the steam to escape, so most of the items were still crispy. Nothing from the platter particularly stands out in taste, besides possibly cream cheese wonton. Overall, it felt like an okay option if you're in the area.

What I ordered: Khao Soi - I saw this being advertised and had never tried it before, so I went for it. Super unique dish with a strong, creamy coconut flavor that wasn't overpowering at all. The noodles were great, and overall it was really comforting and delicious. Would 100% order again. (5/5) Pad See Ew (Shrimp) - A classic done well. Solid flavors, nothing too heavy, and very tasty overall. The shrimp were plump and fresh, which I appreciated. (4.5/5) I also asked about mango sticky rice, and they were honest and told me the mangos weren't fully ripe yet. I really appreciated that honesty. Instead, they gave me their complimentary cookies and cream ice cream, which ended up being really good too. Has this place gone through new ownership?…read more I used to frequent Tantawan Thai Cuisine at least once a week -- it was my go to Thai spots because it's nearby. I would always order the Thai boat noodles, Pad Kee Mao, or Pad Thai, and they were consistently flavorful, bold, and satisfying every time. These three dishes were on constant rotation. Lately though, something feels very different. The flavor and overall taste of the dishes have noticeably changed. The Thai boat noodles no longer have that rich, deep broth, the pad kee mao isn't as smoky and punchy, and the pad thai tastes flatter and not as saucey than it used to. The food just doesn't hit the same. On top of that, the employees were clearly new. Service has been noticeably slower, and they repeatedly ask the same questions multiple times when I phone in my order. I've always mentioned that I don't want liver in my Thai boat noodles and that I like my pad thai spicy -- and before, that was never an issue or a back and forth conversation. Now, I'm asked the same clarifying questions over and over, and I'm even told that they "don't make pad thai spicy," which was never the case before. It's honestly disappointing because this used to be such a reliable weekly staple for me. I'm not sure if there's been a change in ownership, staff, or recipes, but the consistency in both food and service just isn't there anymore. I really hope they can bring back the quality and experience that made me a regular in the first place.
