It is a wonderful experience to be remembered after visiting this restaurant only once. It was particularly heartwarming that a staff member shared a photograph of herself with my service dog. I realize it may be uncommon for guests to bring a service dog in a stroller, but our small dog is a diabetic alert animal that needs to remain close to the breath, sweat, and skin of the diabetic. Although this is intended to be a restaurant review, I am truly grateful that this restaurant is so welcoming to service animals. Regarding the food, the kitchen always hits it out of the park. We ordered two appetizers, specifically the crispy pork and fried calamari. Our entrees included pad Thai with shrimp, pad see ew with chicken, Panang curry, and red curry with beef, which I believe was served with roti. We also enjoyed Thai iced tea and Vietnamese coffee. I was looking forward to their mango sago and mango with sticky rice, but unfortunately, they were out of mangoes. There's a distinctly local feel to the restaurant that still feels accessible and warm yet a little more polished than your average Thai joint. Believe it or not, was my first time trying papaya salad, and we thought what better place to try it during the summer heat wave. The salad was refreshing and crisp, with the perfect balance between sweet, sour, and salty. My only gripe with is this dish could've came with a little more shrimp, considering we paid extra to add it. The Pad Thai was solid and tasted as a good pad Thai should, although a tad bit on the sweet side. Only the Thai tea and the fried egg over rice are fine; everything else is summed up in one word--salty. Pork Jerky: The English name says "pork jerky," but a more accurate description is pork strips. I thought pairing them with Thai basil and the dipping sauce might help, but they are still way too salty. Kra Pow: The pork slices paired with white rice and cucumber barely manage to buffer the overly salty and heavy MSG flavor. Ironically, the best part is the fried egg next to the pork slices paired with white rice--it is the only item that is not overly salty or heavy on MSG, and it happens to be my favorite comfort dish: runny egg yolk coating white rice. Thai Shumai: The flavor is okay, but at $14 a portion, it is quite expensive. We ordered the green curry level 5 spice, and eggplant with basil & drunken noodles!! Honestly the level 5 spice was not spicy at all! Just a tiny kick! More on the sweet side! This review is long overdue! We've been dining at Ari's Thai Eatery for over a year now, and in our opinion, they have the best Thai food in the SGV! The food is consistently delicious, and the service is always wonderful. Tonight, we dined here with our daughter, which was such a special full-circle moment because we hosted our private baby shower at Ari's back in April 2026. They comfortably accommodated about 60 of our friends and family for a three-hour private restaurant buyout. It was the perfect amount of time to mingle, eat, and play games. They were incredibly accommodating, even allowing our balloon artist to arrive two hours early to set up our decor, along with my best friend who set-up all the decor on the tables. A huge thank you to Calvin, the owner, who helped us curate the perfect menu and made the planning process super easy. Many of our guests were trying Ari's for the first time and loved it so much that they've since returned! Our favorites are the Calamari, Crispy Pork Belly, Tom Kha Kai, Shrimp Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, Panang Beef, Thai Tea, and Mango with Sticky Rice. We order these again and again! The entire team is caring, hardworking, and always welcoming. The food is also top notch. We got the crispy tofu to start. Tofu was so crispy on the outside yet so soft on the inside. The sweet chili sauce stole the show as well. So good. I came here for a yelp event, and more recently I picked up a to go order. I got the yellow curry with sticky rice, veggie rolls, and mango sticky rice. The to go order was just as good as eating it there. The flavors are so well balanced and I had leftovers for the next day. The restaurant itself is so clean and modern. It is an open concept kitchen too. The service is excellent and friendly too. I definitely want to come back and have dinner here again. It actually reminds me of homemade food. I got there around 5 pm and it wasn't too busy at the time. The parking lot is shared with other businesses and was moderately full at the time. For the pickup, food was ready by the time I got there. There was a small hiccup with the payment system but only took a few minutes to resolve. Utensils and sauces were available at the front counter. American Express is accepted as an option. Pad Thai - This was pretty good and leaned towards the sweet side. They included a lime, which helped balanced the flavors. I got the dish with fried tofu in hopes of complementing the next dish. Crying Tiger - This order came with a papaya salad, which I acknowledged over the phone. Unfortunately this was a huge miss. I asked to prepare it as medium rare but some pieces were completely raw. I needed to microwave this at home to ensure it was cooked through further. The flavor itself was also just okay. The worst part was that the entire dish was not cut at all; I needed to do that myself. This was a huge letdown especially considering the price of the order. They have authentic Thai food menu. The servers are also very welcoming. They have TV on one wall which is also good for those who would like to watch sports while eating. At this moment we just ordered but have not tasted the food. I will update my review after eating lunch. Just for the place and service quality, I will give them 4.7. The day before, I called the restaurant to make reservations. I spoke with a nice lady who booked us a table at 11:30 AM for a party of 6 people. My middle son wanted Thai food for his birthday dinner so we were going to go to Basil & Co in Diamond Bar. But then I remembered that they opened a sister restaurant called Ari's that I've been wanting to visit. We decided to come here since the menu is the same and I knew that the wait would be substantially shorter than the DB location (always a wait there). Distance from my house is only a little bit further than Basil & Co, so no problem there. The vibe and decor is the same as the DB location and I think seats the same number of customers. We were seated immediately upon arrival, but then I saw a table in the back that had "Happy Birthday" balloons taped on the wall so I asked if we could sit there instead and they let us. We ordered our usual favorites and tried some new things: Ari's Chicken Wings Larb salad with chicken Tom Kha Soup with noodles Curry Noodles Spicy fried rice Pad thai Drunken noodles Yellow pumpkin curry with rice Mango sticky rice Everything was great just like at Basil & Co! Came here for dinner with my girlfriends and after our entree, the waiter handed us a dessert menu but never came back. It wasn't until I heard the waiter talking to another table that it was their last call for the kitchen that I had to flag him down to let him know that we wanted to order desserts. After we placed our desserts, then the waiter slowly bussed our table. Anyway, we got mango sticky rice with ice cream ($18.99) and banana rolls with ice cream ($12.99). When the bill came, we didn't know adding ice cream was going to be +$4.00 per scoop. Like what? We didn't see anything about adding $4.00 for ice cream, but the mango sticky rice makes sense now that I had to go back to look at the menu again. But they charged us for the banana rolls w/ ice cream too! Highly suggest to update your menu to add ice cream +$4.00 like you do for your entrees because we were all caught off guard. read more

The staff were attentive and came by frequently to check on us. The Thai iced tea is really good! Strong tea flavor, but super smooth. Would definitely recommend. The fried calamari was perfectly fried. It was not overcooked and hard. It was soft and chewy. The breading was just right. Their aioli sauce paired with it nicely. The staff here are very kind and attentive. Was I brought here by fate, or was it a mere coincidence that I ended up here? Either way, I was happy that I tried it. After seeing the restaurant on ABC7 I immediately added it to my bookmarks (and forgot about it for some time). Fast forward to my pickup order being ready, I arrived and went into the restaurant. It's very spacious and at the time that I went, was decorated to congratulate new graduates. Now to my food. How was it? - Pad Thai: It was freshly made and piping hot. I normally would just say "F" it and dig in immediately, but I valued the skin on the roof of my mouth that day haha. The noodles were delicious, al dente, and had an unresistable flavor that made you want more. All ingredients (bean sprouts, peanuts, etc.) definitely made the meal. The chicken was good as well (not dry!). The portion was generous and filled me up. Parking wasn't so bad, I managed to get a spot by the entrance of the restaurant. We ordered the Thai Shumai, Drunken Noodles, and Yellow Pumpkin Curry. The Shumai was definitely a sleeper hit. The dumplings had amazing texture throughout and I loved the crunchy garnish and fresh cucumber. The Drunken Noodles were your typical drunken noodles-- delicious with fresh ingredients. They are very efficient and patience. They constantly check in and make you feel right at home. I've heard of Basil & Co. and then found out about its sister restaurant - Ari's. Had tried neither but fate brought me here due to last minute plan changes...and sometimes, fate has a thing or two up its sleeve. Maybe three dishes up its sleeve. Arrived around 6:45 pm on a Saturday night and there was a line of people waiting to get a seat. Thank goodness for being a type A b/c I made reservations for 7 and was seated promptly. Yay!!! Service was prompt with water being brought to the table and then our server coming to ask if we were ready to order or would like something in addition to the water to drink. Wine will do. Wine will do very well. Then ordered three dishes: Papaya Salad - on the sweeter side and not as authentic as what I've had in Thai town but still really good. Kra Pow Duck Breast with Fried Egg over rice - had to order this b/c it's not a common protein for a kra pow dish. I ordered it with combo meats (chicken, beef, and shrimp) but might stick to just the chicken and shrimp next time. The beef was just average. However the chicken was very tender in this dish! Panang Brisket: 3/5 The panang brisket was a little bit disappointing. While the curry itself was delicious and their roti had the perfect amount of crisp, the brisket was not as tender as I would have liked, and they had barely given us any curry. I would opt for just the regular panang curry next time. Still highly recommend the roti as the perfect airy and crispy pairing to the curry! Spicy Fried Rice: 5/5 I had ended up selecting the "Crazy Spicy" level (highest spice level) for this dish and it was the perfect choice! While I have a high spice tolerance the crazy spicy level still gave a good amount of kick. Ari's Chicken Wings: 4/5 The sweet and savor glaze on the wings was solid, and the wings were not overdone or dry. However, I was hoping for the wings to be a little more crispy. While it wasn't soggy by any means, a bit more crunch would have taken it to the next level. Overall, service was great and the food was amazing. I heard about this place from some yelpers I met and they said the food is really good that they return again. The interior of the restaurant looks very modern. I ordered: Pad Thai: 5/5, it was more on a sweeter side but I do like sweet. Penang Curry: Packed with flavor and we finished all of the rice. Service is friendly and quick. We've been wanting to try Ari's Thai for a while and finally stopped in for midweek dinner. The minute we walked in, we were pleasantly surprised by the ambience and decor. It felt cozy and welcoming. Loved the Valentine's Day decor, which made it even more special. The service was great and the food was absolutely delicious. Husband had the curry which he loved and I had the Kra pow with ground chicken it was so good. This spot truly feels like a little hidden gem, and we'll definitely be back to try more from the menu. Great customer service and such a cute, cozy spot! I discovered this restaurant through DineLA and honestly, it was one of the better Restaurant Week experiences I've had. For $25, you get a drink, an appetizer, and an entrée -- and you truly get your money's worth. I started with the Thai iced tea (5/5) -- perfectly balanced, creamy, and refreshing. Then came the crispy pork, which was hands down my favorite dish of the night. 5/5. Perfectly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, with amazing texture, and the dipping sauce it came with was chef's kiss. The Pad Thai was very flavorful with well-cooked noodles and a great balance of savory and slightly sweet -- solid 4/5. I also really appreciated that the menu included photos of some of the dishes, which was super helpful, especially if it's your first time there or you're trying to decide between options. Great new Thai restaurant with great menu selections. Got tired of the typical items so happy to see unique items like crab, fried pork, brisket, whole steaks for crying tiger, etc. food was good to very good. Calamari was amazing. Pad see ew was good, but very similar flavors to others. Crying tiger was good, but could have been better. Was a little undercooked for med rare and papaya salad wasn't spicy at all, even though I asked for spicy. Need my crying tiger to have fire! Will order with more spice next time, but hope they don't over compensate :). Their chili selection does make up for a lot though. Loved the red chili and jalapenos. Thai chili was pretty good too, Will be back to try the brisket and crispy pork for sure! read more
