Came in for a quick Friday night dinner, service was excellent. The teriyaki chicken salad I got was so good and everything was very fresh. Definitely worth it price wise, I'm interested as to how a drive thru works here but look forward to trying it out.

Ramen is a new years tradition and I am so glad we decided to check this place out. The ramen was delicious and the service was great. I will definitely go back to try other dishes.

Beef Ramen NEW !!!
Amaranta V.

I ordered the new beef ramen and it was really tasty! Great service and the wait was not long at all. Highly recommend visiting this establishment for some yummy ramen. 10/24/25 update because this place charged an additional tip for themselves. If you leave a tip, please check your bank acct a couple days later to check the accuracy. Very disappointing. This was reported to my bank.

Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen

My daughter's favorite ramen place. This is our go to ramen place in our area coz of the selection. We love the tonkotsu and miso ramen and love that the chashu melts in your mouth. We went for lunch and they have a lunch special with ramen, gyoza and salad. Very affordable - probably coz lots of college students in the area. Also... they have a drive thru! Try them out when you are near Azusa!

First time coming to this place and it was amazing! My husband and I were craving something warm on this cold rainy day and this ramen was the best!! We both ordered the Rakuten 88 level 4 and 5 of spicy. We will definitely be back!

Chicken Katsu, and some Ramen

The Ramen and chicken Katsu were DELICIOUS! The chicken tattoo looked good on the menu!

Friendly staff, food arrived fast and hot. Service was lacking a bit. Tonkatsu miso ramen was a bit salty, had to ask for more broth to tone it down. The karaage chicken was delicious, crunchy. The katsu rice bowl was a good portion.

Vegetable Shoyu Ramen

Vegetable Shoyu Ramen, good presentation and great taste. Good service and they work fast. Nice location and with drive thru.

Perfect place for some kids ramen .

Perfect place for some Kids ramen. As for me is not my go too the broth was something I can make my self at home with some ramen powder. I did love the utensils they provided to go. Hostess was friendly and attentive: ambience was nice to enjoy a peaceful evening but the weather outside was on point. So we had to enjoy some ramen on our truck. Perfect place to catch some nice colors of the sunset in the sky. Sometimes company makes dinner much more enjoyable.

Vegetable Miso Ramen

Small little ramen restaurant that is in Azusa. I had the veggie ramen which was good. My husband and daughter had a create your own ramen which they loved. Surprisedly, they also have a drive thru.

Unsatisfactory Health Standards.

Great food. You seat yourself and the waiter comes to your table and takes your order. It has a feel of a fast casual dining.

The shop is traditional Japanese ramen eatery theme with some hint of famous anime from menu to some decors. Waitress is really friendly and speedy. We order naruto66 ramen, it is good medium size with lava egg. Not a lot of noodles, recommend to add small bowl of noodles only for side. Spicy garlic chashu bowl is rice with a layer of thinly sliced chashu pork added with some spicy garlic sauce. It's just okay. A bit too salty and spicy. Naruto buns is Taiwanese guabao with Chashu pork with mayonnaise (Japanese type). It's good. Karaage curry is Japanese fried chicken with spicy Japanese curry. It's really good in my opinion. Price is good if you know how to order with selections from the menus.

There's plenty of parking but if you must do take out, then you'll appreciate their very convenient packing for to go orders so your noodles don't get soggy. I usually get the Tonkotsu shoyu ramen. Our cashier brought the ramens and utensils to our table. No water though and I didn't ask for any. There is a soda machine in the back and some beers on tap. I got the Tonyu and my brother got the o.g. The menu set up seemed to be a base of pork, chicken, or vegan and other options are extra "flairs" of the base like sesame, curry, matcha, etc. The tofu slices were really good. The pork wasn't chashu, but a thick piece of pork belly. Noodles were different between the vegan and pork option. The soup got realllyyyyyy salty for me toward the end. Overall - not the most authentic ramen but also decent enough to fill cravings. Not a lot of noodles, but for $14? Not bad at all and I would come back out of convenience of location.

The gyoza was great, pretty good. The ramen was the most bland ramen I have ever tasted. Honestly, down the street there's a pho spot--try that instead, it's better.

Absolutely loved my experience here!…read more From the moment I walked in, I could feel that this place is run with a lot of care and pride. The atmosphere is cozy but clean and modern, and you can immediately tell how much attention the owner puts into every little detail. The counter, the cutting boards, the knives, even the plates - everything looks spotless and well-maintained, which already gave me a lot of confidence before I even took a bite. The service is incredibly friendly. The owner and staff are not just polite in a formal way, but genuinely warm and attentive. They check on you at the right times, explain the dishes if you're curious, and you can feel that they really want you to enjoy your meal, not just finish it and leave. There's a sincerity here that's hard to find these days. It doesn't feel like a business only; it feels like you're being welcomed into someone's personal space where they truly care about the food they serve. Now, the highlight: the salmon. I've had salmon sushi and sashimi at many places, but the salmon here honestly stands out. The quality is on another level. The texture is incredibly buttery and soft without being mushy, and it has that natural sweetness and richness that only really fresh, high-quality salmon has. You can tell they're very selective with their ingredients. It doesn't have any fishy smell at all - just a clean, delicate aroma that makes you want to eat more. The way the salmon is cut and presented also shows the chef's skill. The slices are perfectly balanced - not too thin, not too thick - so you get that satisfying bite where the fish almost melts in your mouth. When you eat it with just a touch of soy sauce and wasabi, everything comes together beautifully. It's the kind of salmon that makes you pause for a second and think, "Wow, this is really good." They also offer different styles of salmon - like nigiri, sashimi, and rolls - and each one feels thoughtfully prepared rather than just quickly thrown together. Even the rice is well made: slightly warm, seasoned just right, and not falling apart. That alone shows the level of care in this place, because good sushi rice is not easy to get right. What impressed me the most is how clean and conscientious the owner is. You can actually see them constantly wiping down surfaces, organizing their tools, and checking the freshness of the ingredients. There's this calm but focused energy behind the counter. It gives you the feeling that they would never serve anything to a customer that they wouldn't proudly eat themselves. That kind of sincerity is rare and really adds to the trust you feel as a customer. Overall, this is the kind of sushi restaurant where you don't just come for a quick meal - you come because you know you'll be taken care of. Friendly service, an owner who is extremely clean, honest, and hardworking, and salmon that is truly special and memorable. If you love salmon, this place is a must-visit. I would absolutely come back again and again.

Came down for the weekend and stumbled upon this place close to APU where my family friend goes to!…read moreHe said this is a popular study spot, so I wanted to check it out. Cafe Bungalow is located next to a McDonalds with plenty of seating inside. The interior is fairly open with a bunch of wooden tables. There were outlets and food/snack items, which made it no surprise as to why people would want to be here all day. Menu has a great variety with items like fresh tea (green, black, oolong) topped with cream, smoothies, milk tea, and the ever famous strawberry matcha. Prices are moderate. I opted for the oolong tea topped with cream and boba. Their boba was a bit chewy, but did not have much flavor. You couldn't really taste the oolong either as it was more of a sweet cream drink. My sister got their strawberry matcha, which was a let down. It was more of a strawberry milk drink as the "matcha" portion was just poorly mixed in and maybe a half of a teaspoon of their powder??? I just wouldn't get their matcha here. Their fries were yummy with that seasoning powder and crunchy! Good portion. Same with their popcorn chicken, but it was a bit rubbery. Overall, I wouldn't really go out of my way to come back for their drinks specifically. Looked like a cute place to try. Didn't know if it was just us, but after reading other people's reviews it seems as if their service is also lacking. The cashier helping us just wasn't very nice.

The happy hour specials are phenomenal and probably one of the biggest reasons I'll definitely be coming back because the value for what you get is actually really good. On top of that, the customer service was amazing. Jared was super attentive and kind, and the other gentleman helping us was also incredibly welcoming and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. My sister barely eats these days because she's on Ozempic, so we honestly didn't expect her to eat much, but she LOVED the food. I loved it too. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and satisfying without feeling overly heavy. What really made the experience memorable though was how they went out of their way for her birthday. They sang happy birthday to her, brought out a birthday hat, and made her feel celebrated without us even really expecting anything. Usually we're too shy to ask for birthday celebrations at restaurants, so the fact that they did it on their own made it feel extra special and honestly made her night. The only reason I'm mentioning this is because I think it's something that could easily improve an already great experience, but there was a noticeable smell inside the restaurant that seemed like maybe a ventilation issue. If it wasn't for how good the food and service were, this probably would've been a four star experience for me. But the staff really went above and beyond and the overall experience was still worth five stars. Definitely a spot I'd come back to.

They also have fun Asian-inspired cocktails with flavors like soju, ube, honeydew, and matcha, which makes it feel a little more unique than your typical sushi spot. Service was good and the place itself is clean and pretty spacious. Overall, it's not a super high-end sushi restaurant, but for a casual American-Japanese spot, it's really solid. I'd definitely come back.
