ok wow they make their rolls BIG (yay!!!) i got spicy tuna with crispy rice, classic eel roll, super philadelphia roll and a rainbow roll and they were nottttt stingy with their portions. the crispy rice was more like a baked rice roll with spicy tuna so it was okay. the eel roll had a seaweed smell that i don't really like BUT the taste was delicious. the stars of the show were the super philly roll and the rainbow roll. so so good !!! after losing Aloha Sushi just down the street, i think this place will be my new go-to. and it's a small business so please go support !!!! read more

I had a horrible experience at Sushi Factory (Azusa). I ordered the Rainbow Roll ($16.50). It tasted old, mud-like, and pungent. I felt my anger boil as I spit this mess into a napkin. After a quiet drive home, I dropped the leftovers into the garbage can. "Disgusting!!" I arrived at Sushi Factory (Azusa) on Sunday (around 6:15PM). This overpriced tourist trap is located across Azusa Pacific University. Parking is easy since the lot is very big. Staff is well-meaning, elderly, and alert. Staff (receipt says Irene) appeared confused when I took photos. Irene had requested I sit closer to the counter in this fairly empty location, so she didn't have to walk much. Irene was cordial. The Rainbow Roll ($16.50) took four minutes and 15 seconds. Extremely fast. As mentioned, the Rainbow Roll ($16.50) tasted so bad that I spit it out. The salmon had the texture of glue and clay. The white fish tasted like lukewarm soap. Then, its California Rolls' filling tasted like microwaved crab juice, dribbled inside. Its rice even carried a wet, clammy, & gloopy texture. I felt furious as I paused eating. With a bright fake smile, I paid & quietly left. Regarding ambiance, Sushi Factory (Azusa) is clean and attractive. The tables are shiny, and the floors are relatively well-swept. I also appreciated the pink blossom decor. In the corner, there's even a television that plays the football game. The music had a cheerful, upbeat bounce. Overall, Sushi Factory (Azusa) is perhaps one of the worst sushi spots that I've tried in 2025. We got their Roly Poly and Baja Yellowtail rolls and both were huuge. The Roly Poly has no rice and I loved the thick salmon pieces wrapped around the outside I especially liked this one because there's no rice! The yellowtail roll was a classic- super good with the spicy sauce! For food we ordered Stuffed Jalapeño Poppers, Roly Poly, Jessica Roll, and the Baked Salmon Roll. The food was good, none of the rolls felt too heavy compared to other local places. Drinks came a bit late, almost more than halfway through the meal. Other than that, service was nice, the servers were kind and welcoming. I had to come here a few times before I could write this long over due review. Also I apologize for the typos I have a new phone and my auto correct is trash. The food quality and preperation is amazing. The first time I came here I ordered the combo plate where you could choose your items. At most places this is known as a bento box but I digress. I got the teriyaki salmon and spicy tuna roll. Everything from the salade to the miso was amazing. My only real two complaints about this place is the service is suspect. It has never been great. One time I came and my server left without saying a word. Then when she came back she was freaking out that the kitchen gave us a free bowl of miso soup and tried to charge us extra for it. My other issue was that you have to ask for ginger and wasabi. They will not give it without a request and the wasabi is sweet. Very odd. I also tried their set combo plate for $10 that comes with your choice of roll, which I recommend the salmon avocado roll, plus gyoza and edamame and it is delicious and filling. When I want to spoil myself it is a great lunch choice. I also tried their tacoyaki, which are fried octopus balls for those not in the know. They were good but far from my best experience with it. The octopus chunks where very small in this experience. Also in most other places they put two to three octopus chunks. I would recommend trying tacoyaki at the 626 night market or at Grand Central Market in LA at the center stand that sells sushi. Both were my best experiences by far. If you are ever in the region and craving sushi give this location a shot. I would give them. 4.5 but of course there is no half stars on yelp. read more

Wonderful place ! Clean and friendly service. I came here to lunch with co workers and we all shared 3 rolls and shrimp noodles! The rolls were good size with perfect rice to fish ratio. Not too much and not too little rice. We went during happy hour at 1pm which was a plus. The fish tasted fresh with not fishy odor. The noodles were ok but the star was definitely the sushi. I planned on cooking at home for Valentine's Day but became too tired after a long day at work. So I looked up a sushi spot (I'm fairly new to Covina area). The wait for a table was only about five minutes (which was great being Valentine's Day!) The service was great. However, there was only one waitress for the whole restaurant so it was a little slow up efficient and the waitress was super friendly. So it wasn't a problem for me! The sushi was AMAZING! I stopped by here randomly to get something quick. I was greeted quickly by a younger gentleman who was very prompt and professional. They sat me immediately and the server was excellent and very helpful. I ordered a 911 roll and a Mexican roll to go along with a tall Asahi beer. The sushi rolls were EXCELLENT and extremely delicious. I didn't even need to use soy sauce because the food was so fresh and clean. I'm blown away by the amazing staff and their attention to detail. The sushi rolls looked exactly like the pictures in the menus and tasted even better. I think the best part about this place is that it's local, high quality, and tastes great. The server also let me know they do takeout as well. They have a traditional style Japanese theme and it is very cozy and welcoming. I can't wait to come back here or maybe even order some food to go. I highly recommend Sushi Factory to anyone looking for a very simple, clean, and heathy sushi experience.
